Hello, all. While I have asked for suggestions in the main thread a few times, I think it's about time I stopped choosing points prizes myself and started letting you chaps pick them. They are your prizes, after all. smile
So: Which intellipoint prize item are you aiming for, if any? I like to know which items are in the most demand so I know whether to restock them. What items are you all most interested in seeing as prizes or questing for, worth between 20-120k or thereabouts?
Thank you!

I think that some of the more expensive commons- fairy wings, etc. would be wonderful prizes. I would like quite a few of them, but am normally (half-heartedly) questing old donation items, so I won't splurge on the permanent commons.

Commons are actually a really interesting idea, and would solve some of the inflation issues I have had with certain items... like the CN scarf, which I know a few people were sad to see go. That hadn't occurred to me before, as there are relatively few expensive ones.
I thought about giftbox items, but those tend to be either worthless or hideously expensive with little in between. sweatdrop

I agree about giftbox items. It would be hard to have a predictable supply of them, especially with prices being so variable with the supply from recently opened giftboxes.
The CN scarf, the Kiki (156k is a ery much WTF? price) (Coco prices are also complete insane) all of those are falling reasonable trends. If you continue looking at them, you would need to adjust prize anywhere from every 6 months to keep on top of inflation. Commons would be a "standard" that would never change. That could help with a dual compromise.

Out of the things you currently have offered for prizes I'm interested in the demonic pendant and the whip of fire. I have everything else that is listed there with the exception of the angelic bracelt. I'm also interested in Gent art. For the most part the things I'm interested in tend to come to me on a whim. I wouldn't mind getting some of the commons as I'm going to be questing for all of the commons. There are more expensive commons out now than there use to be, such as the French items.

So far, the only prize I'm aiming for is the sealed letters, only because I already have the other items or I never planned to quest them.
Expensive common items sounds like a great idea though. ^ ^

Hm, I don't really go to the Intellithread for prizes, I go for the intelligent conversation, so I don't know how much help I would be in thinking of new prizes...
You could have a supply of "intelligence themed" commons to award to people who answer a random questions. Monocles and top hats and the like...That would be fun...And maybe some of the Elegant set as higher prizes.

Oh, yes! I agree with expensive commons being on the list. There are quite a few I want but don't know if I'll ever quest for.

I'd personally stick with certain amounts of gold. Let people take what they will; the value's the same. That or art.

No, I won't be using gold prizes. I am quite adamant about that. I find it too impersonal (I like to give people gifts), and I like to know that the gold I have on me is mine to spend as I like. smile I quest, too, you see. If anyone would rather have the gold, they can sell the item themselves.
I am amazed by how much people seem to want my art. redface It would never have occurred to me to offer that as a prize. I may offer an art prize here and there. But I am a little embarrassed about doing it. *squirms*
Items from the elegant set are a nice idea, but there are so many of them, I would have no idea what to choose...
Thank you for the responses thus far!

I rather like the commons idea, but given how most of the expensive commons are in coloured sets, it might be an idea to offer "an elegant coat" and let the winner decide on the colour? Of course, that does make it trickier to check the marketplace for good prices, but commons do not differ that much anyway.

Of course, that does make it trickier to check the marketplace for good prices, but commons do not differ that much anyway. This is a nice idea in principle, but a little inconvenient for me - as I said in the last post, I like to have the prizes securely in storage so I know I can do what I like with my gold (this is mostly because, while I am an item packrat, I am not very good at keeping hold of gold, so I am not very comfortable being in a position where I may have to buy something expensive without notice). redface
So, nice as the elegant set is, I am a little iffy on it, as there are so many items. Though I think the black coat/vest/corset are the most popular, so those are a possibility.
I like the fairy wings idea, though. Baos, too, perhaps?

My first thought was art, but then I thought it would be effrontery to ask for so much. If you're willing, art would make an excellent prize! I agree that expensive commons would be good prizes. Anything upwards of 10K is more than I usually buy, so if that's true for others, you might add kimonos and musketeer hats and such. Another possibility would be high-ticket items from Prize & Joy. I like, too, the idea of small prizes in Intelli-themes. That would be fun.

Hmm... ticket items... I did notice when it appeared that several people wanted the Plumeria Headpiece. That would make a lovely prize, I think.
The mini-intelli-prizes idea is cute, but I think the number of people in the intellithread who do not already own top hats, monocles, etc., are in a minority... ninja we are an uncommonly stylish bunch, you know.
I am not sure about art just at the moment. I doubt I will ever use it as a points prize, but perhaps as an event or competition prize now and then. I will be selling the odd piece in the artshop when I set that up. 3nodding

Perhaps you should put art as a 50 point prize? That would make it so that you wouldn't be absolutely flooded with work, but make it so that more people can enjoy your lovely drawing! heart
