Well this is partially related to Death Note, but I told my mom about yaoi, nothing hardcore obviously, it midly suprised. I plan on showing her some Matt and Mello pictures, wonder what her reaction will be. I thought she'd be upset about yaoi, but instead she said 'It's probably because of my age and all and I'm not fully ready to accept a malexfemale relationship.'
I'm fourteen and a perfectly straight girl, we'll just keep quiet to dad, both of us could image him spazzing when he finds out his little daughter likes boyxboy action. Lol, that'd be a true kodak moment. Well am I crazy or just too bold for my own good?

That is very bold, in my opinion. o_o; It's nice that your mum was all nice about it and not particularly fussed. I could see my mum flipping out and basically accusing me of buying porn if I told her about it. I could be wrong, but I don't really intend to find out since it could end up with me having no internet and my mangas, even the non-yaoi or shonen ai ones, confiscated. >_>;

She doesn't really mind, but she doesn't like me buying the hardxcore, expensive ones, really. xP
Or, to leave them out everywhere in our apartment.

My mom's pretty funny. She likes yaoi. she thinks it's cute. My sister and i can talk about it at the dinner table, and she doesn't mind. XD
But my dad and his family are catholic, so i haven't told them about it. ( ._.)

The other day, I was watching the news with my mom, and they were all,
"More and more children are reading books with sex, drugs, alchohol, and violence. blablabla."
And I told my mom, "Mooooom, I'm reading books with drugs, alcohol, violence, and hardcore gay sex."
And she looked at me like I was crazy. She doesn't care. She knows that I know that she doesn't care. That's the kind of relationship I have with my mom; I hate her, and go about my own business, and she keeps to herself unless she particularly hates me that day.
My dad buys the pr0n FOR me.

When I first subtly explained to mom what yaoi was ("Ermmm... Boy on boy stuff..."), her exact reaction was...
"Ew."
I think she forgot what I told her by now, because I said it so nonchalantly and left it alone from then on. But she thinks it's gross, and doesn't know I like it. My friends (all two of them) know I love it, though. Mom doesn't have a problem with gays, but I'm not sure how she'd react if she knew I liked reading... The stuff that I read. Probably something like...
"Ew! What? You don't need to be reading stuff like that. No."
And then she'd watch behind my back at what I was doing on the computer and wouldn't let me get on late at night like I'm doing now. But that's just a guess. I mean, it's not homophobic, she'd do the same thing if I was looking at hentai.
So... Yeah. Your mom's cool, in that aspect. Mine's cool in nearly everything else. I WIN! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! twisted

I agree with Del the Insane, why do you show your mom this stuff? My mom found mine and she was horrified, of course... she got to see the whole nine yards of it, (aka: Hardcore) and I'd rather not repeat all the things she said...
Yeah you got a lucky break for having a mom that is ok with it, but.. why do you show her?

I have to lie about where all the ink in the ink cartrage (sp?) has gone everytime I have one of my Yaoi Spells and I have to print, like, all of my pics off. ^_^ I have to hide them under my bed, in my closet, my boyfriend even came up with the BEST HIDING PLACE. SOMEWHERE SHE WOULD NEVER LOOK. *Giggles*
