*Explosions all around.*
"They're dead sir! They're all dead!" Private Patterson yells, falling to his knees and covering his neck. Bullets can be heard whizzing overhead. Despite all of the danger, one man seems to be standing straight up, bullets occasionally glancing off of his body covering energy shield (think Halo).
"That's enough private," he says in a low voice with a glance backwards. "We are not dead. We are not defeated. Our enemies may be many, but we are Spartans... now RALLY!"
The bruised and battered soldiers pull themselves from the ground. Shields activate with a golden glow, bullets burst forth from rifles and the captain charges forward into the thick of the enemy with shotgun in hand...
...and so fights the guild.
Okay, I am sorry. I have to admit. I didnt come here to tell a story. If I wanted to do that, I would have gone to the fiction forum. I just wanted to start with a bit of imagery to symbolize how we are in the guild. Also, I have been playing a lot of Halo 3.
Either way, I am just seeing who is still alive and who has the resolve to read to the end of my post here. If you meet this qualification, please respond and tell everybody what's up and how you are doing. What's been bogging you down.
I am going to leave this up for a while. I will move it or get rid of it when my curiosity has been satisfied.

I am failing Calculus. I cant seem to do well in the class. College has been hellacious for me so far. I play Halo 3 in the few spare moments I get. It makes me feel better. Dont know why. I still visit the guild everyday pretty much I just dont always have time to post. If you really miss me, send me a PM. I will respond to it when I get online. Then you can get your ninja-fix. Heh. Doubt anyone misses me.

Well prepare for a long read.
Basicly until about 2 weeks ago i was without comp. Not beacuase I did anything wrong but my comp had been built with a faulty part and then as if that wasnt bad enough my inssurance on it ran out not to long before i'll also had very little money and then found out if I wanted to get it fixed I would have since no one would accept responsibilty I would pay more then the comp was worth so I decide to get a new one wait a coupl months and finnally got this new PC desktop I'm on no. basicly it was a bad idea to ever get that laptop and the usaul family troubles which is sorta why I have been on in forever.

I think most people have been busy, the semester is winding down and projects and tests will all collapse in a brilliant and tremendous burst upon culmination. We all do our best to tame that explosive entropy... and then... Christmas Break!!! Well, I'll have to work. And I hate Christmas. But still! It gets cold and we have an excuse to sit around on our lazy butts. So it has some redeeming quality. Any who, seeing as how I'm the only one in the Gothic RP at the moment, I might take a break from it. Or I might post more about Shasta. Am I being too detailed with him? neutral

I started playing WoW so I get my fantasy fix that way now. Sadly, Gothic is just too much work. But I am not going to close it down. As long as someone cares, I will continue to endorse the RP.

The character is loosely based off of one I made up. I've created a number of rogue-type characters of different archetypes, I just can't decide which I like most. This one was perfect for the Goth RP; hellish past, ardent survivalist, ambiguous motives, and only leaves little info about himself that is hard to interpret. Pity no ones around to roll with him emo When you say the RP is hard, do you mean it in a mechanical sense or that it's just difficult to keep to the dark, brooding mood? I figure the fights would be less cumbersome in larger groups. Wait, you play WoW? Server Faction Race Class I needs teh details!!!! Oh, and if you say NE hunter I will roll and Orc war on your server and pummel your skull evil jk

Ok, lots to cover here. lol
First off, the rp is hard because it is entirely manual and if I had more players, then I would have to read more posts and check them for correct usage, rules and all sorts of stuff. I think that kind of thing, is better left to computers and by that I mean computer games.
Larger groups would smooth out combat but again, it would create more work for me, as I have to check every post. It was just a little ambitious of me of me to want to moderate as such.
The mood is not hard to keep for me, but after grinding through a bunch of posts and noting inconsistencies (relating to gameplay) I dont feel like posting with my own character or doing anything else in the rp really.
Lastly, I play WoW on a private free server. I just dont wanna pay and my best friends play with me. The server is setup so that it takes less time to do stuff and you arent penalized for choosing a certain faction. I can party up with people who are alliance or horde. Also, you level up faster and gold drop rate is higher. Lots of other stuff, so its not a classic WoW experience. I dont really care though. I didnt like original WoW that much but this way, I dont have to spend so much time to get access to the cool stuff.
To answer your question though, I am a Human Rogue. I also, have a human paladin character.
