I know that quite a few people who like cars also like model cars. Me, I love to build model cars. I'm working right now on getting a full-custom set-up. Paint carosel, brushes, airbrush, paints, flashy paints, rims and everything that is needed to build a show model. The first thing I must do is replace the 55 Chevy pickup that my Grandmother had. (i broke it years ago and forgot about it) Then I'm going to start work on a 49 Mercury Coupe. Anybody else interested in model cars?

This may sound like a stupid question, but...
When you talk about model cars, are you talking about restoring full-size vintage cars to turn them into show cars or are you talking about the model kits that you glue together and place on your desk?
I've only done work with the latter, and it's not good work, either.

The plastic ones you glue together. In my case, I put them in a case or hang them from my ceiling. I do good work, just getting back into it.

i like the model cars that you glue except for when my cousins come over cuz they steal them and it makes me angry and whe ni get them back thier broken and i have to fix them again! lol

Hehe I'd have to say I'm a bit obsessed when it comes to model cars, I have a cupboard full.
I made a couple a while back, then randomly one day I decided I wanted them to look like race cars, so I remade them into race cars. Then I decided they needed to have tow cars and trailers as well, so I went and built a couple more as tow cars. And FROM SCRATCH made trailers for the all of them. Looks pretty good but it wasted a good few weekends.

mmh im really basic about my equipment.....paintbrush, paint, some glue and the model!
I have about 10 models sitting in my room, most of them corvettes. I have a camaro and some pontiacs
