All around, despite the populated, fast-paced world around, the sure signs of fall were easily seen. Caged trees had painted their leaves to keep in fashion, oranges and yellows replacing the boring and dull green, whilst several were ahead of schedule, losing their leaves to the crisp wind that blew past the buildings, ruffling scarves and losing hats of many passerby. Yet, this change had no affected one resident of this city, who welcomed the change with open arms. Sitting atop a low concrete wall, a handsome tom watched the busy world around him, fur slick and smooth and bearing the colors of the trees.
Intelligent blue eyes watched at the people walked passed, too caught up in their daily rush to even notice the oddly-furred cat. Quite a shame really. Sitting up and stretching atop the wall, the Manx made no move to leave his warm seat, except to take a swipe at a lazily floating leaf. Hopefully something would come his way...it was beginning to become dreadfully boring here.

The air was becoming cold and crisp. The warm air that once lingered about was slowly being driven away, Fall's wondrous and chilly air settling in. People seemed even more busy during this time of year. They were always running about, and they always seemed to have some place to go. Signs of affection were exchanged from practically everyone, even if they didn't seem to care for one another. Yes, Fall seemed to have this strange affect on these two-legged creatures.
Of course though, the occasional four-legged ones were affected sometimes too. One particular one, a multi-brown female Manx, was one of those select few. She always felt like she had to rush about and get somewhere, even if there was nowhere to go. Now was one of those times. Slinking along the sides of the cobblestone pillars that bordered people's yards and houses, this female rushed right along with the people, her beautiful blue eyes taking in everything as she quickly zoomed by it, as well as making sure that she dodged the busy feet of the people above her.

Finally rousing from his stoop with intentions to find something better to do, the tom leaped from his perch to the side-walk beneath, bright orange paws beginning to tap against the street as he wove his way through and around the legs of wandering humans. Once or twice a friendly creature would bend down to stroke his fur, the offering to be adored of course wasn't wasted.
A tail stub twitched back and forth as though it were full, a head held high as he traveled, keeping an eye out for any dogs or objects of interest. And, lo and behold, there was one. Not far from where he walked, was another cat. And not just another cat, another cat of the opposite gender. That sure rung up some tallies on his interest board. Ears perking quite a bit, he changed his direction and set off towards her, gait easy and sliding.

The female Manx continued to rush along, occasionally getting stuck between wandering feet, just barely managing to squeeze her way through the mess without actually getting hurt. Every now and then, one of the people above would stop and scratch behind the ears of the female. She would then take that moment to enjoy it, but as soon as the person passed on, so would she.
As she decided to jump up and onto the railing of a black, metal fence, the multi-brown female couldn't help but notice a bright orange... Something... Behind her. As soon as she turned around though to try and see what it was, tons of bustling people got in the way, blocking her view. Huffing and wrinkling her brown nose, she turned back around and continued along the top of the fence, making sure she kept her balance along the way.

Blue eyes set on the hind-end (not a bad view he might add) of the moving female and her equally as stubby tail, Mowgli followed along. Of course, he wasn't stalking her per-say, just....taking an interest in this beautiful queen. With her natural-colored body weaving in and out of view amongst the humans he couldn't help but quicken his pace, for it'd be quite a shame to lose such a femme.
The cat took relief as soon as she leaped atop the fence, taking her choice in stride and moments later the cat was catching his balance upon it as well. Paws spread as he composed himself on the metal, before padding after the Manx. A smooth and deep meow left his throat as both a question and a call to the other feline as he tried to catch up. Hopefully he would soon, freezing metal fences weren't his thing.

Okay. Now it was starting to get a little chilly. Still, the female Manx continued to pad along, rather quickly though. She would have to keep an eye out for the orange thing that she saw, as it looked rather interesting, as well as slightly inviting.
Just as the Manx was about to take another leap, back onto the ground below, her ears swiveled back, a meow of sorts catching her attention. Her stubby tail twitched some and her bright blue eyes looked over to where she figured she had heard the meow come from. There, about fifteen feet away or so, was the bright orange thing that she had seen just a few moments ago.
It was a male Manx... And a very attractive one at that.

It'd taken enough time and effort, and finally he'd gotten her attention. And just soon enough, he mused to himself as a cold breeze swept past, causing him to stop and crouch lest he lose his sure footing on the fence-top.
As if automatically each human ducked their heads and drew closer to themselves, relaxing and raising their eyes once the wind had passed, though each had a slightly quicker step, eager to get out of the cold. Smiling as he took a daring leap forwards on the fence, covering about a foot or two and drawing himself ever closer to the queen, Mowgli let a satisfied purr rumble in his throat as he padded closer towards Tawny, stopping at a comfortable two feet away, balancing himself as he sat down on his haunches. Of course, kitty butt + cold fence = not good, but he had better things to worry about.
"Out for a stroll, kitten?" he cooed warmly, striking orange pelt probably quite a sight in contrast to the pale and dull city.

The sudden chilly breeze that swept by made the female crouch down some herself, her small tail hiding underneath her behind, trying to stay warm. Once the breeze passed on, the people next to her began to bustle by even more quickly than they had before. She turned her head for a second, watching them with curiosity.
When she turned her head back, she noticed that she male Manx had gotten closer to her, definitely not shy in any way. Her blue eyes caught his bright orange pelt, staring at it. It was such a beautiful color, and it made him stand out so much. He looked so warm and inviting, and it made this female shiver, even though she wasn't already.
"No, not really." she replied back, her own body deciding to sit down, jumping a bit when she felt just how cold the railing was beneath her. "Out for a stroll yourself, tom?"

The lithe young tom couldn't help but watch as the female stared, though was no way offended by such a reaction. It was quite common for him, so he merely waited until she wished to speak, taking the chance for some harmless eye wandering of his own. Beautiful form, and the natural brown pelt and symbols upon it made his eyes very pleased. Almost like his own, though obviously different.
He couldn't help but smile as she jumped, grinning through the n** of the rails at it all. Cold he could stand. Rejection....that was another story entirely. "In a way." he purred, rolling his shoulders in a type of nonchalant cat shrug. "You might say I was just aimlessly wandering....or, you might say I was looking for a beautiful kitten like yourself to escort." His stub of a tail curled at his own warm voice, and blue eyes matched hers. "What do you say?"

A small, but very visible smile curled across the female's muzzle, her bright blue eyes looking right back into his own. Her stubby tail twitched some underneath her, making her move her hind quarters a bit, jumping here and there as new cold seemed to penetrate her fur.
"Oh really? Well... I should say... That you might just be in luck then." She purred some, her right eye winking at the tom that sat only two feet away from her. She could tell that he was all about her, just as she was completely adoring that warm and oh-so good-looking coat of his. So, being the sly femme she was, she stood back up, turned around, and began to pad across the railing once more, making sure to flaunt off what she had to her orange visitor behind her.
"Coming?" she called back, turning her head around, the smile still on her muzzle.

Another smile broke out to match the queen's, though obviously broader despite the calm and cool expression it held. Mowgli's eyes flashed mischievously at her agreement of the method, though the sirens in the distance caught him attention momentarily and drew his gaze away from the brown-pelted lady.
Her call roused his attention once more, and with a grin spread he leaped to his paws and followed. "'Course, kitten." Padding quicker to catch up the tom prodded her hind-end playfully (and slightly suggestively, if nothing else) with a soft paw, tail stub flicking with boyish amusement.
