It was his first time out alone. He doubted anyone would notice his absence though. Their family den was currantly inhabited by eleven cubs in all, inclueding himself, yet he still managed to go unnoticed. His eldest brothers, the identical twins stuck together like glue and although the other cubs around him, some his siblings some his apparant uncles and aunts were friendly enough he liked to stay yto oneside and visit his thoughts.
His thoughts were always strange, infact they were more than strange. He saw things he didn't understand, he even voiced them to his mother occassionally but she had little idea of what he spoke of. It was a dream that had pulled him out in to the pridelands on a morning when his family all slept peacefully in the dawns light. he had dreamt of meeting someone, he just didn't know who, but he knew where he was supposed to go to meet them. In his dream he had seen the monolyth of the pridelands, pride rock his mother called it. Only isntead of it being a shadow in the distance, he could see the lines and curves of the rock.
He had padded then upon tiny legs towards the great stone feature in the distance until her could see the shapes and colour of the rock itself. He turned to look and found the tree which had sprung up in his dream and sat to wait. What posessed him to do this he was unsure but so far his dream had been right, the tree was here, he had definately never been here before but it was in his dream and he knew he had spoken to someone here, now all he had o do was wait.

Imara was padding along the prideland path that most cubs followed along now and then, peering at the great features in hte distance, admiring what was out there that they could not see, peeking up at Pride Rock as they passed by it. There was a spring in her step, she was out on her own away from her sisters, searching for somewhere to train, to find something to do with her time to make her stronger.
Flicking her tail she stopped as she came to a bunch of stones somewhat separated from one another near a tree that appeared somewhat giant to the cubs size.
She crouched down, sprung up and tried to grasp at hte stone with her paws, though slid down the side to no avail.
She would try and try again.

A small thud caught Abiona's attention and the dark coloured cub stood to peer around the tree he had been sitting under. Tilting his dark brown head he blinked ansd spoke in a rather whispery tone of voice. "Hello, are you the one I'm waiting for?" blue-green eyes blinked owlishly at the tan coloured female, someone had shown up. It was quite surprising even to him that someone had indeed shown up. In his dream he had sat and spoken to someone for some time. About what he was unsure, but here he was, speaking to someone with the curves fof priderock just a stones throw away, beneath a tree with the sun highlighting the branches. His dream had come true.
Looking up at the trees spindly twigs his ears flattened a little and he licked his lips before speaking again. "I'm sorry..I must sound rude." Again his voice was soft, silky, airy, his odd coloured eyes fixing upon the light coloured femme. "My name is Abiona, I'm supposed to be meeting someone here.." He trailed off, it was a lie but he decided rather than blurting out that he had dreamt that she would be here it would be easier to cover up and pretend he was waiting for someone.
His mother had, after all often looked at him strangely when he asked about his dreams, he didn't want to gain that look from a complete stranger.

Imara froze and turned her head to let his eyes fall on the stranger. She flicked her tail, eyes narrowing somewhat at him, a boy, a boy! Why were boys everywhere? She huffed and watched him, listened to him speak and turned herself around so that she faced him head on. She jumped again, up on the rock, grasping, pulling her weight, and finally she was on top.
Once she was atop the rock, she stood straight head high, tail still, eyes cast down on this boy.
She was strength, in he own eyes and heart.
"I'm Imara," though she didn't believe she was supposed to meet him here.
He was acting strange.

Looking up at the female, the young cub sat quietly his ears folded back against his head. "I appologise if I startled you." he whispers his voice so quiet one would really have to p***k their ears to hear all of what he was saying. His short tail flickered as he wondered what she was htinking, she seemed confused by his actions, as confused as he was that he had come out here in thre first place. Sighing under his breath his watery eyes watched the young lioness.
he decided he clearly needed another lie to cover up the fact that he had made a booboo previously in blurting out before he had time to think. "My mother...set up a play date here fror me..I thought perhaps you must be the one.." He trailed off and looked at his toes, yes that was certainly an acceptable lie.

Imara watched him, kept on her perch, this was her rock from now on, and she would fight for it. The rocks here she could jump back and forth to and from, how wonderful would that be? Truly wonderful indeed. His eyes were watery, had she upset him? Boys, they were so strange, and not as strong as Imara and her sisters, that was for sure.
"You sure?" she asked, watching him, "Wouldn't your mom come with you here? I haven't seen you around before...." was he an intruder?

"Oh..uhm..no mother lets me wander around on my own...she says the pridelands are safe.." His voice trembles slightly as he tries to complete his story and keep himself looking sane. His glassy blue-green eyes searching for an answer to the questions she kept asking him. He wondered if this was what his dream intended? For him to meet a female whoim was suspisious and clearly had some sort of superiority complex? He felt confused his young mind jumbled with the images of his dreams.
"My mother isn't too fgar away, just a short walk in thast direction, I was born on the borders." He mumbles his gentle airy voice sounding unsure of the word he had just spoken. The borders? His mother had never said that only that they were on the pridelands, somehting had whispered the words in his cubbish ears so he had repeated them. The borders, but he would certainlky have prefarred to live near the great rock which towered not too far away. It was a strange and wonderful thing. perhaps it was this collosus that had drawn him towards this tree? He knew full well that wasn't so, his dream had called him here for this meeting, he just didn't know the reason yet.

"Oh, alright..." Imara said eying him over, not moving from her perch, refusing to move from her rock, this was hers, no one elses, and she beamed with pride that she held in her heart. Flicking her multicolored tail she pawed at the stone for a moment, the borders, his mother wasn't too far away? Hmm.
"Are you and your family going to stay here?"
She was curious, she wanted to know that if he was going to stay here, where he would be in case she and her sisters wanted someone to play tricks upon.

Abiona looked up at the pale female his green eyes fixed upon her. "I don't know, my mother and father have itchy paws." He had no idea what that meant but his mother had informed him of this not so long ago. He certainly didn't want to leave, he liked these lands.
Blinking a few times he shook his head to rid himself of the flash of something before his eyes. A picture? Wrinkling his dark brow he let the thought escape him, best not to say anything.
"Do you live around here? near the monolyth?" he asked, the word beyond his own understanding, it seemed hi dreams liked to give him words too, words beyond his comprehension.

"I live with my mom and dad and sisters in our den, its a little bit that way," Imara said pointing with her paw, flicking her tail idlely watching him, not letting her eyes wander away from him. He was a strange boy, and interesting, though her mind was elsewhere, she had to go train some more, adn talking wasn't helping her get that sort of thing done.
"So umm...are you wandering around for now or want somewhere to go?" she asked, tilting her head somewhat, "I have to go and find ym daddy and train some more, but if you want somewhere to go thats cool, I can point you there," she said with a nod.
She always knew of hte best places to go.

Abiona looked up blankly at the pale female, perhaps this was what he was supposed to question? Flickering his stubby tail he got to his foot paws. "How do i get up there?" he pointed at priderock, for some reason he wanted to get to the very top and look out, he wasn't sure why but that felt like what his dream had told himt o do.
Twitching his ears he waited, his large baby green eyes curious. he would forever be led about by his dreams it seemed, but perhaps they were supposed to lead him some wheer and those he met along the way would be the guiding lights to point him where he was going.
He knew this was a strange way to think, but it was the way his mind decided to take it, his dreams were beacons, he just had to follow them and find the light at the end of the tunnel.

Imara let her eyes travel over to where he was pointing, and she flicked her tail, and titled her head at his odd question. He wouldn't be able to get to the very top, unless he could fly of course, but he didn't have wings like a bird, so that was very quite impossible. "Walk towards it and you'll see almost like a step pathway on one side, you can follow the stones up, but they are very large."
He was strange to want to climb it, usually the royalty was around there.
"If you can't get up them yet cause of there size, ask someone to help, besides that, its all I know" she said with a smile, watching him, then turning her head and padding a few steps. "I haveta go find my dad, maybe I'll see ya later," she said with a grin and padded off as fast as her paws could carry her.
He was strange, but perhaps he might grow strong one day.
Not stronger then her of course.

Abiona watched as the older female bounded away from him, his deep green eyes smiling. "Thankyou." He whispers rather airily, for a moment he felt like his grandmother, speaking like the wind but this quickly faded away and he waved after Imara. "Yes, I have no doubt we will." He puurrs, bouncing off towards the great stones of pride rock. He had to get up there, for some reason he had to.
Perhaps that was what this day was about, though he felt maybe he wouldn't reach the top today, there was somethign up there he had to see, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but some day, he was certain of that.
