New info on the Lord Vicar EP

Peter Vicar

DOOM METAL DOWN TO THE BONE!!!

The Demon of Freedom 7" EP will be out from I Hate Records (http://www.ihate.se/) before this year is over, should everything go as planned.

I am glad to announce that we had the great honour of having the bass talent of Brother Jim Hunter at our use on this release. He recorded his parts Oct 4th. All we are missing now is Chritus' vocals, and he will record those in Stockholm next weekend with the assistance of Freddie Eugene from Terra Firma / Harm's Way.

The lineup for the 7" EP is thus Chritus (Count Raven, Saint Vitus, Terra Firma) on vocals, Jim Hunter (Revelation, WHW, Twisted Tower Dire, October 31) on bass, Gareth Millsted (Centurions Ghost, End of Level Boss) on drums and Peter Inverted (Reverend Bizarre, Orne) on guitars.

Rough mixes sound heavy and natural. The EP will be based on an old werewolf legend from the island of Hiiumaa, as narrated by Finnish author Aino Kallas (1878-1956) in her novel Sudenmorsian (The Wolf’s Bride, 192 cool .

The EP will contain three songs, “Hiiumaa”, “Becoming One With the Spirit of the Forest”, and “Running Into a Burning House”, recorded in London, Stockholm, North Carolina, and Turku respectively.

Daniel's permanent replacement on bass will be announced when I have had proper jam session with him.

Live gigs should start during the second half of 2008 if all goes well.

I have completely written the 1st Lord Vicar full-length album Fear No Pain and am currently writing the 2nd effort, Signs of Osiris. Will start hunting a record deal for those when the 7" EP is out.

Hail Metal, Hail C.O.T.D.!!!

I keep telling myself I need to find a record player.

Anyways, excellent news, I wanna hear some samples. But sheesh, the Reverend Bizarre guys are always planning years ahead. I'm wondering if they just sit and write s**t 24/7/365.

I've had that thought a few times myself. I just find CDs easier and more practical.
