The riddles will now be monthly, not weekly. Well here they are! [1]There are 20 people in an empty, square room. Each person has full sight of the entire room and everyone in it without turning his head or body, or moving in any way (other than the eyes). Where can you place an apple so that all but one person can see it? [solved by xsteel feathersx]
[2]While exploring the wilds of Canada, Wild Man Dave was captured by hostile wood fairies. Brad, the powerful chief of the fairies told him he could make one final statement which would determine how he would die. If the statement he made was false, he would be boiled in water. If the statement were true, he would be fried in oil. Wild Man Dave found neither of this options too his liking, so he made a statement that got him out of this seemingly impossible situation. I think you missunderstood, it said everyone EXEPT 1 person could see it, not only one person could see it.

On number 2, he said that they will boil him in water? Because if they don't, then he would be lying so they would have to, and if they did he would be telling the truth so they should have to fry him?
And why would woodland faeries be boiling or frying people?

And why would woodland faeries be boiling or frying people? correct! ...and i have no idea as to why they would do that. i am more puzzled by he way the didn't just think up a third way to cook him, but what the heck.
