~Welcome to the Chronicles of the Fire Inn~

User Image

I am your new hostess, Crimson.

After having the Inn wrecked and destroyed and then fixed there have been a few upgrades I wish to share with you.

Opposed to the 25 bedrooms we had before, there are now 35. Each with it's own bath. There are 10 executive suits, those come with a bath and a room to lounge around in.

The large maze is still present, only now the forest is thicker and more mysteries await those brave enough to enter. Though I caution you. I wouldn't advise the strongest and most experienced to enter alone. The maze is still dubbed The Chronicles Forest.

The barrier around the Inn is now stronger than it was before, simply because this is an area I specialize in. Though I may not be as interesting as the former Inn host, I will do my best to provide you with entertainment and hospitality, as well as witty jokes and comments if you like.

The new description of the Inn is as follows;

The first floor consists of a check-in facility where you can sign in for a room though it is never really enforced. There is a kitchen with a bar and a few stools to sit upon, most guests choose to use the tables. We get very anti-social people around here, believe it or not. Food, drinks, and snacks are served as always. There are the same number of private rooms for private conversations, which I assure you...no once will be able to ease drop on. There are two couches that face each other with a small table in between.

The second and third floors consists of the rooms. The second floor being the rooms for guests. The third floors being the larger suits.

The fourth floor...I've decided to add a few things to liven up the place a bit. This isn't the 19th century after all. We can have technology and entertainment. I have decided to place two pool tables in the room. A pin ball machine. A CD player, as I noticed some of our old guests listened to rather loudly. It was quite irritating mind you. So the room is sound proof thanks to a few spells of mine. There's also a TV with a couch that can sit four people, two love seats, and a few recliners. For those that are interested in literature, there are several large book shelves, so help yourselves.

If I can think of anything more to add I will post the updates here. Until then, enjoy the Fire Inn.

Come one, come all.

Ki, you will always be dear to this Fire Clan member. I'm sorry for changing your hard work.

"We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations." -Anais Nin

Crimson hesitated for a moment whenever she heard the news outside of the Fire Clan. "Really? Everywhere else is a ghost town?" She brought her thumb to her mouth and chewed on her nail. It was impossible to break or chip, so it didn't matter, if anything it would cut her mouth or lips. Crimson could understand how he felt, she wanted to make him feel at home as much as she could. The Fire Inn now coming into view she could do just that. First she would send him up to get fresh clothes, a shower, maybe a nap before she had dinner ready. "A man is supposed to find friends, those with kind hearts left in this bitter time. I try to be one of those people, with the kind heart bit." She laughed to herself. "I don't want you to worry yourself at the Inn, just find your sword." A smile lit up her face. "What do you eat? Er...what kind of food do you like?"

-He thought for a moment and chuckled- "You may fix whaever you want. I'm hungry for anything." -they continued for a while until the Inn came into view- "Alot of others have moved on to other things and I haven't seen a few since the war....that was such a long time aGO!!" -he suddenly tripped face first on to the ground by a pointy rock- Oh my." -he jumped up and dusted himself off and acted as if it never happened- "Alot of clans have turned to dust. Its sad...and some like to pry into others affairs."

Crimson jumped as he feel face first on the ground. My, she was jumpy today. But having seen someone she thought was either dead or in another world appear out of a puddle of water, who could blame her? "Are you alright. Don't try and act like it didn't happen. You're not hurt are you?" Lord, she was such a mother. Worry, worry, worry. She examined his face he seemed fine.

"Here, let me get the door." The door to the Fire Inn was a few feet before them. She jogged a bit to get ahead of him. She grabbed the knob and pulled it open until his feet were over the threshold, she then walked into the Inn behind him. "It is sad, not many people are here anymore. It's almost heartbreaking---no it is heart breaking." She let the door sling shut, a quite slam echoed through the empty room. "You're right, the war was a long time ago, so we would do best to try and not remember it. It was painful for everyone."

Crimson studied Enishi for a minute, he was so clumsy now. "There's a few rooms upstairs, pick anyone you like. There's also new clothes in all of there dressers, so you'll find some fresh clothes and a refreshing shower. You can come on down once your finished. Food should be ready by then." She then remembered she had recently been in the garden and didn't want to get dirt all in the food. "On second thought, I think I need a shower and some new clothes too." She chuckled, embarrassed a little. "The food might take a bit longer, so feel free to take a nap." She smiled.

Echo's tiny drone crawled through the gap under the door and made its way to the top of the door frame. From there it could get a better view of the entire bar area.

-He smiled and nodded- You're to kind to me." -he made his way up the stairs and picked a room at random before going inside and undressing. Suddenly feeling tired, more tired than he had ever felt before; he fell onto the bed before sliding under the covers and fell into the deepest sleep he had ever taken.

"Wake up Enishi, where are you Enishi? You lost me Enishi. Come and find me Enishi. I am rusting Enishi. I need blood Enishi"

-His eyes suddenly opened and Enishi quickly rose up out of the bed, his body covered in a cold sweat. While rubbing his eyes over with one hand, the sweat quickly retreated back into his body. Every drop of water counted at the moment. He hated how his ... past life had turned out. After grabbing a simple pair of patched pants and an old shirt, he walked out of the room barefooted and made his way towards the smell of food.-

"Good...morning?" -he said, not sure how long he had slept.- "Might I ask what day...or time it is?"

Crimson watched him walk up the stairs and after she heard his door shut, only then did she walk to her own bedroom. She stripped herself of her clothes, tossing them onto a pile at the end of her bed. She felt disgusting, the slim and dirt of working outside always got to her. Crimson aimlessly wandered into her bathroom, out of habit she gazed at herself in the mirror for a few minutes. Her reflection looking back at her, a horrible scar trailed along her side. From her hip to the bottom of her rib cage. It was disfigured and a separate color than her own skin, she despised it so. She quickly turned away from the mirror and adjusted the knobs on the shower to her desired temperature. The water hitting her body was a cool and calming relief.

Crimson was now donned in another set of clothes, which she considered to be her regular attire. A black tank top which cut off shortly above her belly button showing off her well earned abs. She had on a pair of dark windbreakers, sitting snugly on her hips but were altogether loose and comfortable. Her hair was still wet, she hadn't bothered to dry it, and it hung past her shoulders to her back.

Crimson placed a frying pan on the stove and heated the coils. She decided she would make tacos! She loved tacos. She hummed quietly to herself as she poured the meat into the pan and allowed it to fry and turn a deep brown. After a few moments she drained the grease and added in her special seasoning, which she made with herbs and spices, so a pleasant aroma filled the air. She hadn't even noticed Enishi walking in until he spoke. "It hasn't been that long, maybe an hour and 30 minutes. As tired as you are I expected you to sleep all day. Something wake you up?"

-Officially the dream had awoken him, but unofficially he said this: "No, I just couldn't sleep anymore." -he lied with a kind smile. Something he had grown used to over the many years he had been alive. Lieing came easy to him but he just now hated it. What was wrong with him? He looked over the food with hungry eyes and offered to help in anyway possible- "If there is anything I can do, let me know." -The dream had shocked him. What was it that was talking to him? Only time would tell. The way it had sounded though, it was his sword.- "Anything planned for the rest of your day?"

Crimson grabbed a measuring cup and filled it up to the 1 cup marker. She poured it into the taco and seasoning and mixed it all together. Now she just had to stir occasionally and it would be ready. In her mind she thought, yumm tacos.

Crimson could tell when a person was lying, though she never called them out on the matter. It was harder to read Enishi then other people. "Would you mind getting the condiments to put on the tacos? I just like hot sauce and cheese on mine, get whatever else you have a liking for." She grabbed a rag and began to absent mindedly clean the surface of the bar. She was so used to people running in and out, leaving messes. "I don't really have anything planned. The most I would do would be going back out to the garden. Try and hone up on my "earth bending" for lack of a better word."

It was a placid dusk outside, the great sun creating a familiar red stain across the sky. Already, the eastern sky was basked in a saturated blue and calm black, the moon preparing to take her seat upon her sister's throne. The calm setting of the sun was, however, to be disturbed, woods below were about to become in still termoil.

A grey eruption blurred from behind the curtain of shadows made by vast and tall trees and other flora. The object moved at speeds not fathomable to the ordinary man, and bounced wildly from tree to tree, seemingly without direction. The object was in flight, fleeing in terror or loss, prehaps. It wisked by, catching leaves and breaking branches in it's wake, set on an unknown course to the Fire Clan Inn. It failed to follow the trails, or rather, avoided them purposefully. Finally, after long moments of scattered bounds and leaps, the blurred grey and blue object finally made halt beneath a tree before the clearing leading to the Inn.

He leaned against the tree, panting loudly while heaving his chest. He dared not peak about the aiding trunk, lest whatever or whoever following him catch his scent or sight. Exhaling graciously, obviously convinced he had lost his attackers, the boy slumped down the tree, landing heavily upon his bottom and craning his head back to peer at his savior's boughs. A screechy, unheard voice panged in his skull.

"Well, you certainly should be proud of yourself...the way you gallantly fled from those hunters was astounding. Why, such bravery you hear only in tales of bards!"

The teenage-appearing boy scowled at his unseen verbal assailant, and spoke aloud as if he could hear. "Oh, shut up Skreig! There had to have been at least eight of them, and I couldn't have taken them all on." The grey-furred wolf ears atop his head twitched in annoyance. A somber, calm tone now entered into his ears through unseen means.

"Perhaps if you had not prevoked them, their weapons may have not turned on you." Before the the boy could protest, the aged voice swam to his thoughts again. "Weyve, I know you sought justice, but your means were rash. Could you not have thought it through?"

Weyve, the boy in a soiled grey t-shirt and ragged blue jeans rolled his eyes, speaking aloud rediculously at the ghost voices. "Howlen...hunters must have known better than to take an animal with her young. My point was made to them, I think, in my own way." Skreig, the screechy voice spoke up once more.

"So pissing in their stew taught them to honor nature how?"

Before Weyve could replay, Howlen sought to resolve the tired argument through the pursuasion of rest. "I spy an inn ahead. Perhaps we may stay a night and continue onward on the morrow."

Both spirits agreed, and the teenage boy, broadsword and bow at hand, set up to the inn, approaching in hopes to recieve welcome arms and perhaps a bed.

Crimson had cleaned the bar so well that her reflection now gazed back at her. The counter top sparkled, the red in her eyes, the furry and the pain from her past stared back at her. Her motioned ceased, she remained still. The only noise in her ears was the crackling of the taco meat as it cooked, the breathing of Enishi, and the heart beating within her chest. She began to remember...her sisters, one sister particularity...who was no more. She threw the rag onto her reflection and breathed a heavy sigh.

Her senses buzzed, as if a door bell had been rung. A visitor? Tonight must have been a blessing, two guests. "One moment Enishi, it appears we have another friend who will be joining us." Crimson pulled up the section of the bar that only employees were allowed to use and crossed the threshold to the door. She opened it and was greeted by a teenage boy. She found it curious that he was alone, he seemed to be a child, she knew though that looks could be deceiving. "Welcome, come in. I was just finishing dinner."

The drone's proximity alarms rang out in Echo's head. The unknown object arrived at a speed that appeared to be an assault on the inn, but it stopped just before Echo was about to reactivate. Echo sent the drones near the clearing in time to watch a young figure approach the inn. Years of combat experience had told him never to rush to battle unless it was absolutely necessary. He had to gather as much intel as he could on the newcomer, and thankfully he still had an eye inside the inn.

The drone inside was already watching as Crimson opened the door and greeted the new guest. And Echo was using it to keep tabs on what was going on.

Weyve was taken aback by the swift appearance of the red-haired woman. He had not even reached the Inn's entrance, yet she had reacted so swiftly to his approach. So stricken with shock was he, that Weyve nearly forgot where he was. But that wasn't the only thing that had shaken his senses...No. This woman, this tall, defined, red haired lady was absolutely astounding. He had never seen a woman so beautiful, but perhaps it was because he had not seen a woman in such a long time. His mouth became agape, all manners and feeling temporarily leaving him. It was Howlen's nervous growl that awakened the still of Weyve's thoughts. His voice buried deep within his conscious, so none but he and Skreig could hear.

"...Weyve...Weyve, what ever you do, don't move..." In the teenage boy's current stae of mind, this task was not too difficult, but his curiosity piqued.

"What? Why?" Foolishly, Weyve spoke these words aloud. He had been so used to talking with himself to his internal companions, that social mannerisms like this had left him. He cursed quietly, feeling his cheeks blush hottly in embaressment. Again, Howlen's warning cut through his consciousness.

"Weyve, There is something amiss about this woman. Her aura...her spirit. It isn't natural. There is...a beast...a wild beast beneath her skin. Beware, Weyve. This one is dangerous."

Hush, Howlen, I can take care of myself. This time Weyve took extra care to speak subconsciously, so that only his comrades could hear. Skreig, however, had become unnaturally silent. The teenage boy, garbbed in his torn grey t-shirt and ragged jeans, looked somewhat pathetic, and his ruffled and untamed grey hair shook wildly with his wolf's ears. He had most likely seen weather unfair to his journey, and his weariness was apparent. Trying desperately to recover his previous accident, Weyve addressed the woman before him formally.

"Uhh, yes excuse me. Th-thank you, I will." He trodded carefully, expecting a trap or decietful tragedy to befall him. Weyve had adheared to Howlen somewhat, then. The boy approached to door, extending his hand cautiously to his greeter.

"I am Weyve. C-could I stay the night?"
PostPosted: Fri Nov 02, 2007 1:39 pm

Crimson smiled thoughtfully Weyve. She tried to hold back a quite giggle. He was a very entertaining lad. She titled her head watching him with curiosity and interest. His eyes seemed faded and he seemed to be in a dream. Once he answered be was a bit hesitant. She couldn't help but wonder if he was in trouble. "Of course you can stay the night. Come inside before you get drop dead of exhaustion."

She held the door for him as he walked into the Fire Inn. She sensed...yet another presence. Crimson gazed out into the forest...falling leaves graced her vision, landing peacefully upon the door. There was a chill, autumn would be here soon. It rarely got cold on the Fire Lands but it was prone to get a bit chilly. It was the weather and that's all, nothing more. However, she couldn't go gallivanting out in the woods whenever she now had two people to care for, especially a stranger. Whenever the other guest got here, if he got here, she would take care of him also.

Crimson walked back behind the counter, the tacos were ready. The spicy tacos she so loved. It was rather hot for people who weren't used to it, she began having seconds thoughts about serving it. She cut the stove off to let it cool. "So where did you blow in from stranger?"
