I never see enough of this pairing. I know they never actually met or had a chance to talk to each other or anything, but they still make such a great pairing. Yes L/Light is also great because they are equal intellectually, and the tension between them, and L is so cute. And Matt/Mello is practically cannon. Ok moving on. I just think that Mikami/Light would work well.

Light is selfish, he uses people, and he is a megalomaniac. Mikami worships Light, he would lit Light use him and ask for nothing else. This is different than Misa because she was needy. She is "Light I'll do anything for you, because I love you, and I want you to love me". Where as Mikami is "Light I'll do anything for you, because you are God, I love you." Period no strings attached. With Takada and Misa, Light was continually manipulating them, promising them love, a relationship, a position of power "you will be my goddess". Light would never have to manipulate Mikami because Mikami would do whatever Light wanted because Light is God to him. Mikami's only desire would be to please Light. Because Light is selfish, that would work for him.

I know that Mikami's a little crazy, and spoiler got them both killed in the end with his mistake and disobedience.
However he and Light are very like minded, and he was able to anticipate most of Light's needs. Picking Takada as the representative of Kira for example. Spoilereven his mistake of taking the death note out of the bank he did in order to what he knew had to be done, he should have trusted Light to do it, but the point is he thinks along the same lines as light.

I'm sorry if this seems like its formulated like an argument with point followed by evidence, habit, I don't mean it to be. Just want to discuss why I think this pairing is awesome. It would be a relationship that would work, it wouldn't be healthy since Mikami would be groveling at Light's feet, but it would be fun. And Mikami is also really good looking. Just throwing that out there. I wish there was more fanfics/art about this pair. But with this thread I hope to create some more discussion about the pairing.

LOL, most of my favorite pairings are ones that could never happen
(like spiderman/venom and I don't even like comic books but this pairing is fun).

Anyway for me, that's the joy of fan fiction and fanart, anything is possible. I also like doing what ifs? Like alternate ending where Light wins, or other weird what ifs that would have them together. Though I totally get where your coming from.

And yes pictures would be good.

This pairing makes me happy. On his own, I actually don't like Mikami, though I can't decide why. But Mikami+Mikami's hair is always win...seriously...I couldn't stop staring at his hair.

And as someone said, yes, probably the prettiest pairing ever.
