Background: A city has been stirred by rumors of undead in the city. No one knows if they are true or not. But the murder rate in the city has gone up, and people's corpses are mysteriously dissapearing. Several adventurers have decided to get to the bottom of this problem.
This RP begins in an alley in the city, where the adventurers are investigating a place that undead were thought to have gathered.

David ran his hand along the wall. "Maybe they were never really here." He knelt down and picked up something on the ground.

Stageria landed on David's head, in the form of a dove. "They exist." she whispered. "Run."

David grabbed the ring on the ground, stood up, and spun around on the heel of his foot. Keeping his walking stick firmly in his hand, he took off down the alley. "You do mean run away. Right?"

"Yes. Run fast." Lin said. "They won't leave the alleys, but...." She dodged an arrow. "It's a long way to the main streets."

David ran up to a wall, jumped onto it, jumped off, and pulled himself up onto the roof of a building. He lowered his hand. "Lin! Grab it!" He yelled to her.

Stageria flew back the way she came. she sent the message telepathically to David and Lin.

"Hey!" Lin yelled after her, but too late. "Dangit... Why does she escape and leave us to be... I dunno, eaten or something?" She grabbed David's hand and pulled herself onto the roof. "Thanks." She told him.

"You're welcome," David replied to Lin. "Stageria probably has some sort of higher understanding of what is going on. Either that, or she is just afraid and runs away."

David leapt over the gap and landed on the next building. "The question is, how could you not sense them if they were right behind us?" He leapt over to the next building.

"I'm not that good at it, for one." Lin said, leaping from roof to roof. "And there are a lot of... underlying currents, if you will, in this section."

"Underlying currents," David said thoughtfully to himself while keeping pace with Lin. "Would you say that these 'underlying currents' be either the person controlling them, or something protecting them?"
