I have taken the liberty of re-modeling our guild's home page. Hellfire and I have had discussions on the matter and agreed that some things should be changed or added. Although, I don't want to make it permanent because it's everyone's guild. Please tell me what you think and if you like the old theme better. I'm still not done re-vamping it, but I would like to know how you think it looks, so far. Thank you all for your critiques.

You know, rather than posting a stock photo of the Goat of Mendez, I can do something to make it more personalized to the guild... I mean, otherwise, to me, it looks like we just ripped something from google and just slapped it on the front page.

PirateEire You know, rather than posting a stock photo of the Goat of Mendez, I can do something to make it more personalized to the guild... I mean, otherwise, to me, it looks like we just ripped something from google and just slapped it on the front page. I completely agree with you. But, unfortunately, I'm not equipped with such programs for editing. I used google, yes, but it was a mere outline that I created to see if we can come up with something using that image. It would be great if you could do that for us. I think that image would suit us, as neither of our sister guilds have it displayed. Thanks again, Pirate. wink

PirateEire Shall do. A little busy these days, but I'll work when I can. Anyone got a colour scheme in mind? Well, Hellfire wants something colorful. I thought that a monochrome tone would suit the depiction of the Goat of Mendez, specifically. Though, it wouldn't look bad if it were to be in color. Just that, if it WERE to be in color, I wouldn't like it to be too bright. Maybe a bit more opaque and less saturated than usual to give it a more concrete look. Whereas a highly saturated hue would be like eek So yes. What say you?

I think I'd personally like to see something a little more spiffier done with Mr. Goat of Mendez up there. The borders just look a little tacky to me... Something more ornate would be nice. Of course, I've only room to complain if I can offer something else, right?
Give me the go ahead and I'll whip up something spiffy. I just want a green light ahead of time so I don't wind up wasting hours on something that isn't needed.
PS: I'm slightly less busy now, and I have a new computer that needs to be played with. I just need to install photoshop again, and I'm good. ^.~

Doing better, but the Goat of Mendez could use a bigger picture and with a smaller boarder, maybe get him sitting on a mountainside or something. I'll try at it and you're free to do so also, if it takes your fancy.

Much obliged, Pirate. heart Well, I can play with CS3 at school, and a home I know the wonders of regular old CS. Have you heard of the Gimp? It's MS Paint's and Photoshop's b*****d child. Works like a charm. Anyways, I'll whip something up by the end of the week, you can critique it, and we'll tweek it where needed. EDIT: 11/15/07 Hurh, okay... Been a tad more busy than I thought I would be. SIIIGH.
