I just started the HSC course, so i'm a bit worried with all the majors work i have to do. I have music, art and software. Just want to get a few ideas down now so i can plan them all nicely.

For Music: I like composing music, so i was thinking of doing a composition for one of my assessments. Not too many ideas in mind at the moment, but i dare say it will have a similar meaning to whatever art i end up making. I'll probably do them in either Finale or Sibelius.

For Art: I always have a million ideas in mind, but only a few are worth while producing. I live around the country, so i would most likely set that as an important aspect/theme in whatever i decide to do. I'm not sure how i should do all of this, though i think i'm better on canvas or paper then through programs at the moment. Might have to work at it a bit.

For Software: No ideas. At all. Preferred programs we use are Flash or File Maker Pro. C++ and other complex programming languages are far out of reach for me at the moment, and probably will be for a while yet. Games aren't too hard for me to make on flash, but i think it might be better to have a practical application for whatever i make. I dunno.

Ideas? Anyone else done any major assessments for the HSC? (I Don't know the equivalent to the HSC in other countries. Basically its the final exams and assessments for high school.)

hmm, I was going to make an address book/phone book/other info xd application and make it compatible with Thunderbird and maybe outlook, its practical and useful, you can take it over if you want, but youd probly have to know C++ or VB.

youd also have to figure out how to write the program extensions, (I need to look that up myself)

that was an Idea, I'm afraid my ideas are usually out there instead of practical.

what is File Maker Pro.

I'm afraid that if you just have flash then your severly limited.

maybe an online flash based scientific calculator with algebraic functions?

theres already a calculator on most computers but maybe the Algebra functions will bring people in.

most converters have already been done :/

I'll let you know if I think of something.

File maker Pro is a program where you can set up databases and records. I think its typically used for accounting though.
Bahh i was thinking of something along those lines. Like a tutorial or something so i can incorporate heaps of smaller less complicated components, rather then coding a large one.

Idea struck!
What about like a tutorial for a learning guitar. It could have like different sections such as a chord finder, theory, then a simple 'match the note' or 'name the chord' game.
