It is the longest running Sci-Fi show so far. The first episode was released in 1963. It is still being made today. Honestly, I love the show. It's amazing!

List of Doctors
First Doctor, played by William Hartnell (1963–1966)
Second Doctor, played by Patrick Troughton (1966–1969)
Third Doctor, played by Jon Pertwee (1970–1974)
Fourth Doctor, played by Tom Baker (1974–1981) <-Favorite
Fifth Doctor, played by Peter Davison (1982–1984)
Sixth Doctor, played by Colin Baker (1984–1986)
Seventh Doctor, played by Sylvester McCoy (1987–1989, 1996)
Eighth Doctor, played by Paul McGann (1996)
Ninth Doctor, played by Christopher Eccleston (2005) <- Love his smile
Tenth Doctor, played by David Tennant (2005-)

But of course, the Doctor has had many more companions. I don't feel liek listing their names, so here's a picture going from who i think is the Doctor's grandaughter up to Rose.

(note, the one on the end of the top row and at the beggining of the bottom row is a Timelady called Romana. She regenerated once i think... )

Enemies-
The Dcotor has many enemies, but the ones most people remember are the daleks (EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!) the Cybermen and The Master.

Okay, you can talk now... God, i'm such a User Image

Hmmm....the 9th and 10th doctors look like assholes. sweatdrop

I've never actually watched Doctor Who. I've always wanted to, but I don't know what channel it's on, or when, or what. I looked for it when I was in London, but got distracted by that cartoon Somebody's Home for Imaginary Somethings, and the sign-language dude hanging out in the corner and miming everything. Also by a call-in game show in which I could have won 100 quid if I were a British citizen...it was so easy.

But the 9th and 10th have some of the best quirks!

Here's one for #9

and #10 has an oral fixation. He licks wallls, spoons, people and chews on his fingers. There's probably more stuff, but that's all i know of at the moment. ninja

But #4 is still the best ^.^

Different people like different Doctors (I'm all for 3rd and 5th, my mom likes 4th...), but it's all good.

If you count the 6th Doctor story "Trial of a Timelord" as a single story, like in the beginning credits, then the 2nd Doctor story (last story of the 60's) "The War Games" is the third longest Doctor Who (TV canon) story ever ("Trial of a Timelord" - 14 episodes; "The Daleks' Master Plan" (1st Doctor) - 12 episodes; "The War Games" - 10 episodes). Just think it's interesting because it does take a while to sit and watch the whole thing (it's about 250 minutes long!).

But what's up with the seventh doctor? He looks like a circus dude.

Hm.... good question. I'll have to watch some of #7's episodes.
Here's a better picture of all of them. My sister and i think the three at the begining are The Master

I have no idea why the 7th Doctor dressed like that. Wardrobe department having too much fun? Speaking of the circus, though, you might want to see the 7th Doctor story "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy" if you can.

In that picture, the first one is Rowan Atkinson from the spoof "The Curse of Fatal Death" (I recognize that face). The other two...I have no clue.
