So...I was walking up the hill with my friend Tony to go to his truck; I always carpool with him to go to Sand Fork. Well as we're up near the PE building, there are 3 guys sitting on one of the low brick walls. Tony and I are talking and as we pass these guys I can feel them looking me over. Then I hear one of them say "Where's all the good looking women these days?" If I had not been with Tony, I would have turned around and said "Same place all the good looking men have gone. So all the women are left with the likes of you, who also aren't living up to society's standards of beauty." However, I was a good person and just ignored them. I don't want to be society's standard of beauty, and if doing so gets them to look at me, then I shudder at the mere thought!
What would have been your response to them? What do you think of society's standard of beauty? The kind we all see in those silly fashion magazines?

Why did you call this redneck men?? I know plenty of rich snobswho are the same way. I probably would have the same thing ...but in my head. I'm shy around people I don't know. I would have just growled on the inside and kept going to wherever I was going.

I most deffinetly would have told him to F**k off, and I am sincerely not into what most people consider beautiful, I think the typical big boobed blonde, or the makeuped stick thin girls are all the same, and most of the time the most unattractive feature they carry is their attitude, I really don't expect much out of the average guy though, certainly not to tell me or anyone else what is beautiful and what isn't, the most I can hope for from them is to shut the hell up about their opinions of other people

*laughs* You should've turned around and said with a smile "Why, they're dating me of course. They realized all the good looking men are gay, and that it's much better to get some as," Use fingers and body language to emphasize the sarcasm here, " 'average' looking as me then to go with a group of swines like you." ...I love pushing the limit.
And society's outlook sucks a**. All the women are either anorexic thin or fake everything big. I wanna see a girl with a little baby fat for gods sake! Hell, she could weigh 400 pounds for all I care! I just wanna see a REAL woman, not some Botox inflated, no eating for 3 months, photo-shopped picture of something that a woman's suppose to look like.

Much of what we find dissatisfactory in our society could be avoided if people thought before they spoke (or just thought at all, really). I've never actually understood why people feel the need to comment on the appearance of others....
ninja However, there was rather a weird thing a boy had with my apperance once... he developed this weird fetish for my legs and asked me every day if I would wear a miniskirt for him... needless to say, I didn't. It would have been really, really funny, if it wasn't so goddamn creepy... burning_eyes
