"1986...
Chernobyl explodes. Radiation spreads. The End.
That... That my friend, is the story you heard. You may call me Duran, and I have the real story.
The Story of what happened in Ukraine, Belarus... and the motherland."
Welcome to Aftermath, the Zombie RP with a twist. Chernobyl exploded in 1986, and Russia was devastated. This RP states that very few people made it away from the blast; and those who where hit by it became mutated into Ghoul like creatures or worse. Now it is 1989 and the Cold War has just ended, You character: For what ever reason is on there way to Russia. Siting comfortably in the 727 as you make your way there. Suddenly, and Engine catches fire! Now another one! Before you know it; you’re on the ground, on the outskirts of Ukraine. Pull yourself from the wreckage, you are knocked out shortly after by a cloud of black smoke...
But then you wake up... You wake up in a run down hospital, only a mattress on the floor and an empty dresser. But one more thing is there with you. A Box. A Box with your name on it. The door is locked, and required some sort of paper to be put into it's fax-like feeder to unlock the door. The paper you need is in this mysterious Box. It asks you all sorts of questions about yourself (Please PM them to me).

Gear: You can only have 6 items on you at anytime. Free Choice means you get to pick the Item as you found it in the Box, along with the Jehrico Pistol that was also in the Box. Gear can be anything from body armor, to goggles, to a flash light. Food/Water does count as gear, but there is no food or water in the box. This means you will need to work as a team to solve certain problems, since carrying Body Armor, Guns, Food and Water leaves little room for large puzzles or useful items.
The Box: the box contains only your starting weapon, 2 items of your choice, your papers and The Guide. These 2 items may NOT be body armor, food, water or another weapon, they must be a utility for use. Remember, your in a Post-Disaster End-of-the-world Radioactive wasteland: You’ll need more then Guns and Kevlar.
Combat: Combat in Aftermath is quite simple and genius. It does require Double Posting.
First; You roll a single D6. The outcome determines your post. Let me explain more so.
Zombies have a Kill-Rank of 4. In order to kill a Zombie, you must roll a 4. If not, the Zombie goes on his turn. Humans have a Kill-Rank of 3, there are ways to change this like body armor or by using cover. The same thing goes for attack, while Pistols have a (0) next to them, meaning they don’t modify combat, melee weapons and heavier guns do. Melee weapons have a (+1), meaning they raise the kill-rank of an enemy, but don’t take ammo (So that Zombie is now at a KR of 5). While Rifles and Shotguns have a (-1/2/etc.) meaning they drop the opposing creatures Kill-Rank. Your Stasis is decided by 3 hit points, after taking 3 hits without medical treatment, you die (Alive (3), Injured (2), Wounded (1), Dead (0)). The system will be a little learn-as-we-go, so don’t worry if you can’t get it right off the drop.
The Guide: the guide is a book you all have in the box, it is pocket sized and has it’s own pen attached to it. It does not take up a Gear space, but can be filled with Information. Here, I will store the Information each one of you encounters, to form a full Guide of creatures found in Aftermath. So far, there is little information, this will soon change.
