Chapter One ... The sky remains darkened, as lightning hurled itself around and around the night sky. Nova, a white haired, black and white alternating outfit wearing hero, stands tall against an army of mechanical beings. They have shown him that using his lightning abilities will do nothing to short circuit them. Nova stands tall even still, thinking about his options. On his mind, a decision weighed heavily. He began thinking about why he felt this way, but remembered this certain sadness from the early memories of his life. He took off his headband and necklace.. letting them drop to the ground slowly. He didn't feel worthy of them.. His eyes shifted to the right before he hung his head letting the rain pound against his clothes and skin harshly. Nova let tears culminate within, and began to cry. His friends, Skye, Ace, and the others.. were beaten and exhausted. He was supposed to be a legend, supposed to be their backup.. But these feelings were too much..Throughout his life, as he let his friends learn more in depth about him, they always used an analogy about butterflies, and how they spread their wings eventually.. well when was his time? When was he going to get that chance? He looked back remembering that Zero had been missing for days.. His brother, a behemoth of a man, and a powerhouse to boot. Nova found himself staring a mechanical being in the face, eye to eye. These things were heartless, and part of the reason his home planet was destroyed. "Ultainia..I've failed you.." He said remotely. The machine ran forward lunging at Nova, and slammed a powerful left hook, with his mechanical robot hand, into Nova's jaw. The impact let loose a wild shock wave throughout the area. Nova's body flipped through the air and slammed hard into the ground.
He lurched his back and threw up, from the force of the impact. Machines had always been a powerful adversary. Nova raised to his hands and knees staring at the ground, with still..a hurting mind. The noise of the machines rushing forward filled the air, as rain tormented the metal. Nevertheless, they resumed their rushing march. It wasn't long before Nova felt the pain of getting impaled by metal and iron.. "I'll never amount to anything anyways." He spoke again, still having no faith within himself. The machines smiled and began to laugh at him. "This is the great Nova??? Actions do not comply with internal data. Internal data suggests that Nova should be fighting back, in futile!" One spoke as the others laughed at his obvious joke. "It matters not." Nova replied. "I've no reason to fight back.. where would my immortal life get me..?" He asked not really intending on getting an answer. The closest machine drew a sword and impaled it into Nova's stomach. Feeling the immediate pain, Nova hung his head with a smirk. "Finally you sonova b****, I can die.. and leave the pain behind." He said coughing up blood. His body was torn and beaten from the brutality of fighting these machines. There were too many, even if he did fight.. it'd be almost impossible to come out alive. He alone would die, and save his friends from the machines wrath. As if his mind was being read, a machine spoke up. "You think that we'll abide by the agreement of you and Thaxor? I doubt it, for as soon as you die, so do your friends." This harsh fact was brought horrendously to Nova's attention. But he found himself in no position to bargain. "..no..." He said unable to turn his head to look back at his friends. He lowered his head, feeling no pride, not joy, for he had committed the ultimate sin.. and signed the death warrant for his friends. A sudden shock wave of familiarity brought an abrupt end to his emo moment. Followed by a maniacal laughter, that only one person could ever issue...
*fast paced sickass techno plays in background* ((XD))
Heavy footsteps followed the firy heat coming from an entity. Nova knew who was here long before he saw him. "Nova.. you've been a fool. I told you I wouldn't rest until I saw to it that you were happy." He growled suddenly appearing next to Nova. His normal brute appearance, his berserker power, seemed lost. He was more... powerful. It was as if he rounded off his abilities to equal each other. But as Nova watched the next event, he realized he was far from the right conclusion. Zero had made contact with a machine, immediately incinerating it with a pillar of fire. Nova's eyes widened. "Nova, you're far behind all of us." He said making the machines back up a bit. "You've just woken up from a dream.. lasting over a thousand years." He explained wrenching the machines with a firy dragon attack. "And throughout that time, we've surpassed your knowledge of power, and have even brought back Kiria temporarily. Again Nova's eyes widened. Kiria???? He gasped. Nova tried to move, but the blood loss was too great and his limbs weren't responding. "Zero bring her to me.." He asked. Zero bowed. "Of course brother." He snapped his fingers, bring open a portal which seemed to suck Nova in, he still however could not move. He watched in awe as Kiria walked up to him. "Nova.." She spoke angelically. "ugh.." He moaned from the pain. She raised her hand and whisked away any feeling he had. "Yea?" He said weakly. Kiria smiled politely and hugged him. "It's been over forty thousand years since we last talked Nova... and I realize your pain." She said wiping her eyes. I could always tell you were different, not only in power, from the other Terrans, but for understanding and love for life..You never gave up.. not once.. just now..This is why Zero and I.. have agreed to do this." Nova was taken aback. "What exactly?" He asked her. Kiria smiled. "We never got to live together Nova.. never got to be a united love. Lucifer made sure of that. So out of love, if there's one thing I do for you.. it's to make you happy." She said with a sniffle. Nova's heart beat faster. "Kiria, I'm not half the hero you are.."
She waved his words off. "Nova.. I don't need you saying that. You've saved so many lives..I'm sorry, but if I'm going to do this I need to do it fast.. please Nova.. find happiness from this, and love..." She said with a final kiss to his lips. And with a final teardrop, she vanished, as well as this white space. Nova found himself back amongst the machine army.. still tethered to the tree with a sword in his stomach. He hung his head. "There's nothing you guys can do for me." He said. Zero looked back angrily.. with a rage that only was needed to wake a fool up. A deathblow was dealt to Nova. He felt surprised his own brother had hit him that hard.. It almost killed him. "Ugh." He groaned as his eyes widened with the power of his brother. He really had been out of it for a thousand years. "Nova you idiot! WAKE THE F*** UP! What Kiria said was true, we're going to do something for you, and you will find happiness. Whether you're my brother, or my sister!" He roared delivering another blow, only this time to knock back the endless machine army. "Nova." Zero said kneeling down. "That butterfly thing.. believe in it. Spread your wings, evolve from this cocoon and flourish. You've gotta believe in life, and in yourself. Please.. do this.. I can't stand to see you in so much pain, and neither can anyone one of your friends, including Kiria. She's sacrificing her leftover entity, just for you." He said standing once again. He had been in a calm mode.. something Nova himself.. had never witnessed before.. Zero was never this intellectual.. but, he had changed. "So Nova.." He said holding out his hand. "Will you let your wings spread, or will you fall?"....

Chapter Two Nova looked at Zero, with a fiery passion in his eyes. "Zero, it isn't that easy!" He roared angrily at his brother. "You think it's easy to just change? To just metamorphose into something I want?" He screamed. Zero seemed to just smirk. "Well would you look at that?... My levelheaded brother can snap, can get angry. Which means Nova, that you are no different than anyone else. You're an equal, and you ARE allowed to have what you want." He said as a matter of factly. The tension arose between the brethren, as fierce shaded lightning crackled in the background. It lit up the sky with it's ferocious heat and light. The rain only seemed to be coming faster when it lit up the sky. Nova could only watch as his brother fought against the rising androids, that just kept coming. He hung his head, and thought about it, thought about his standing. "Zero.. if I could have what I want, why isn't Kai alive?" He shot towards Zero. This question halted Zero in mid swing. "Kai gave his life to aid you. You both always were equals, in everything you did. You've shared the same pain, shared the same experiences. And when the time came to bout off against the evil counterparts of Ardin and Chrono, neither of you were afraid to give it your all. After all I was there." He declared. Nova couldn't respond. He listened as the facts seeped into his mind, with no resistance at all. Zero was right, throughout this whole time, Nova had been feeling remorse and responsible for Kai's death..But he was starting to come around. Zero looked back to Skye and Ace. "Even they were limited of power here. You've got more power.. than your realize. But you need to evolve first Nova.. you need to realize that we're here for you, Boy or girl." He said with a grunt as he turned his body into a full fledged roundhouse kick of fire.
The facts all lay before Nova.. and he knew it. Zero was right. Skye and Ace, who were two of the most powerful beings he knew, aside from himself and Zero.. had even been disabled here. Even Skye.. a masterful Magista.. Nova couldn't believe it.. He broke down. He wanted so much to rip through the energy restraints that were holding him in place. But his blood loss.. didn't allow for such an option. He was reminded of the time.. long ago, when he himself was a child. Kiria's untimely death. Even in death.. she was loving, and warm. She's doing this for me.. He realized.. It was like a shotgun point blank fired off inside his brain as he began to piece the clues together. It was all or nothing.. Zero opened his arms wide and pulled them back, "Stay still Nova!" He roared as he shot a beam of white energy at Nova. With a powerful shock wave it collided with Nova, making him feel nothing. "What the?" He said hearing it echo. Kiria appeared once more. "Later Nova." She said with a loving smile and rushed at him. But the beam was interrupted. Nova opened his eyes to see the reason, what he say was nothing short of a nightmare. Zero.. was wounded, mortally. Nova screamed. "ZERO!!!" Nova's eyes were glistening with shining crystals for tears.. Zero looked up at his brother. "Don't worry Nova." She said with a crazy smile. Nova's eyes recognized them almost immediately. "NO ZERO DON'T DO IT!" There's still time..." Zero's response was expected. "Nova.. there's only one way I can open the twilight portal now.. a tactic I used once before.. But I think.. I." He didn't even finish his sentence.
The area around them changed as Zero stood, bloody and dying to his feet. "It's NOW OR NEVER!" He said. "C'MON KIRIA! WE DO THIS NOW!" Zero let his energy whip out all around him in an engulfing flame that tore several members of the android army completely from this realm. Zero was sacrificing himself and his life energy to open the Twilight Barrier, but something else was happening..Nova could feel it. Zero looked one last time before the blinding light blanketed the area. "Goodbye... sis." He said breathing his last breath, and fading away from existence. Kiria nodded and rushed at Nova's now fading body. Her physical being enveloped his free roaming spirit, and combined with it. A dark crystal formed around Nova's body, making him unseen. The light vanished from the existence, as Skye felt his energy restore.. Ace had died. Skye hung his head, and said a prayer.. it was his turn to fight.. he was the last hope for Nova. He flicked his light blue Magista hair aside and grinned. "No more holding back.. not anymore. He stood alone as his energy swelled, no more restraints, no more locks. He was ready to make sure Nova blossomed, that Nova was able to spread the butterfly wings.. And grow. He cracked his knuckles and stared deeply unmoving into the machines.. Skye made time slow, within his own eyes, as he rushed forward quickly assimilating a line of machine warriors. But this was to knock back the front line. He could sense the energy growing within the crystal.. His eyes widened as he sensed the sheer power exploding within. "Soon.." He said softly. "Very soon." He acknowledged something else.. the androids were growing smarter, adapting to his skills, like much faster than they should've. He couldn't do this alone. Still however, there was no end to them. He looked back to the crystal, which started to crack, and the image of Nova..blurred. "Come on.." He urged it silently. He reached down and pulled forth his blades, it was time for a good old fashioned sword fight. A small smile appeared upon his face.."Hyah!" He roared rushing forth with his ice energy flowing all around his body..If Nova needed time, then he would get it!

Chapter Three Time was of the essence but Skye's was drawing fast. He could feel the calling of his own world. "ugh NO!" He gasped jumping backwards. His love called for him. "Aelea...ugh she needs my help.. badly. What a time to choose.." He backed up to the crystal, that encased Nova. "I wish there was something I could do friend." He said running his hand along the structure. "But you know how much I love her Nova..I'm so sorry.. about everything. I wish you the best.. old friend." He said softly before disappearing. This left the crystal, completely unguarded. The sky grew darker, as the crystal shimmered slightly. The lightning became a thousand times more fierce as the wind whipped up into a fierce tornado of darkness. A familiar entity showed his face.. The androids backed up slowly and bowed in unison. "Welcome Master Demi, back to the living world." He gave a cocky smile as he crossed his arms. "Ahh.. if I'm not mistaken.. the entity within the crystalline coffin is Nova.. correct?" He demanded. The androids all nodded once again in unison. "Fine then, it's time to rid the world of this thorn in my side.. Though I must say Nova.. your entirety of 41,000 years of living.. has been quite the entertainment." He said as if speaking to the unconscious Nova. "heh.. you're in too much of a pathetic state to really even waste my breath. Well then perhaps you'd like to hear of how I stopped your little evolution? Maybe perhaps how you'd like to know that I've trapped Kiria's soul within my own consciousness." He said with a maniacal laughter. "You insolent dog! You won't spread your wings Nova, you were never meant for greatness, and you certainly wont be living past tonight."
Meanwhile...
"Kai Hiden Battousai.. you do realize that by bending the rules such as this, it will be your last time to make any contact with the one called Nova?" Kai hung his head. "and I won't even get to see him..blossom..heh." He said to his side. "Yes sir, lord of the Inner Realms. I understand completely, and am willing to undergo any consequences." He pledged. "You seem more noble than even I've heard of Battousai, fine, you're released now go." Kai grinned. "But of course!" He said powering his energy up, flaring the flames of power inside. "Looks like I'm alone for this one. heh, Demi is my opponent? Interesting, I thought Nova finished him off..Well.. it doesn't matter, I'm fighting for my brother. Though we're not related directly, we always saw each other as family.. and my thoughts of this matter will never change." He said teleporting his body to the battle site. A powerful flash ensued and he was right next to the crystal with a confident smile. Demi merely looked down with a smirk. "I should've known you had a trump card. Well then Kai, we shall meet in battle once and for all." Kai's resolve never flickered he looked at Nova and growled. "You've trapped Kiria?? There's no time for ******** around. I'm going to end you.. quickly." He said calmly. With a mere grunt of his mouth Kai's appearance changed, as he smirked. "Like Omega Kai?" He asked with a grin. "Nova may take his sweet a** time making a transformation epic, but you see, that's about the only place we differ.. I like evolutionary and quick, like your death." Kai pointed out his speed was not to be taken lightly as he appeared with one of his blades at Demi's throat.
"uh..uh." Demi stammered. "You're not supposed to be this fast?" Kai asked. "Was that your next thought? Pfft... please.. don't get me started. I've been studying. You know, it's people like you that really.. piss me off. I loathe beings like you. Nova opened my eyes, to see what kind of power the righteous side gets. I've since then realized all along Nova's inner self, and I must warn you. Now that you've delayed the petals from blooming, you will pay." Without a second more to lose, a powerful kick was delivered to Demi's side, sending him reeling backwards into a bumping frenzy. Kai snickered and dashed forward, running and attacking Demi in a powerful rush combo. "For every amount of pain you've caused my friends, I shall multiply that by a thousand!" He roared. "It's about time I end this.. or at least.." he said moving his hand to Demi's forehead. "Even the stakes. I'm bored." He removed Kiria's essence from Demi. "Nova!! HERE" He yelled appearing once again at the crystal and pressing Kiria's spirit into it. "My friend please let the metamorphose work!" Kai sighed. His time was up and he couldn't prolong it any longer. "I'm sorry that I couldn't give you more time, and most of all I'm sorry for your pain.. I would've really liked to see your unleashing.. Forgive me.." He said fading as the sunlight began to arise. Demi stood up, wiping his lip of a slight bleed. "heh, hahahahahha." He laughed. "It doesn't matter, it's too late!" He rushed forward and hit the crystal just as the sunlight bounced off from it, creating a rainbow reflection everywhere. The crystal cracked revealing Nova standing there, eyes wide open. "Demi?" He asked. "Aha, Nova.. this is your unleashing? Don't make me laugh." Nova's expression changed to one filled with anger. "I'll make you pay..." He said stepping forward ready to fight. "What's wrong Nova? I thought you'd already have your fist buried within my stomach by now. Or is it that you cannot compare to my power now? I let Kai take the essence of your dead lover.." He laughed once more.
Nova looked confounded. "Why can't I move?" He asked. "Why did this not work?" Demi resumed his laughter. "You idiot. You cannot move because I've binded you in place with the same kind of energy that allowed Lucifer to kill Xavior, your Terran father." Nova's eyes widened with a new fear. Demi brought out a blade, that when showed.. put a fear into Nova.. like no living thing could. "How?" He was cut off by Demi. "How did I obtain Master Dragon? Oh please.. You think you were destined to weild this blade? I do thank you though, were it not for the two years you spent as an evil entity, I don't think Master Dragon would've been reforged. Now let me show you the reason why I am the REAL MASTER OF TWILIGHT!" He roared kicking off from his standing point and lunging at Nova with Master Dragon pointed straight at his heart. Time ebbed on as Nova closed his eyes, until everything came to a screeching halt. When Nova looked up, he realized the Master Dragon was millimeters from his heart. The sun seemed to shine into him, as the crystal's shards reflected the rainbows all over Nova's body. This started a chain reaction which caused him to gasp for air. "What?" He grunted as two small wings started to develop on his back, they shined with the rainbow colors as they seemed to crack an outer shell that was his body. "What!?" Demi stopped as time returned to normal. He backed up cautiously and stared on int total awe. A morning breeze quickly developed into another tornado of rainbow colors the enveloped around the cracking shell. The wings were growing, evolving in size, to eventually reach an enormous size, as a smaller object climbed out of the shell, long white hair flipped out as the thinner looking being stepped out and discarded the shell that soon faded into nothing more than sparkles of energy. A girl, resembling Nova stood there, head hanging down as her long white hair swayed gently in the horrendous raging tornado, that seemed to emanate from her now full blown butterfly wings...Demi gasped as Master Dragon wrenched from his hands and into her open left palm. "I believe this belongs to me.." She said lifting up her head and opening her eyes, revealing the silvery golden color.. that Demi knew all too well..Standing at the calme center of this raging storm... was Nova.. reborn.. with a look of deadly determination in her eyes..

Chapter Four Time seemed to effortlessly ebb by as the sun's rays shimmered across this new fighter. Demi found himself speechless, as he couldn't avert his eyes away from this new girl. Was it true? Had Nova really spread his wings, and if so.. why did this girl come out from the shell that was Nova? He stumbled backwards trying to regain his confidence, which was really hard, considering the power emanating from this girl. "What do you mean, 'This belongs to me?', that blade is Nova's." He asked her. The girl's eyes flashed and flickered again. "Don't you understand Demi?" She paused taking a deep breath, and a long look at the environment. "I am Nova." She added flicking her long hair with a flip of her wrist. As Demi watched on... he couldn't take it in. Nova.. was a man. The very man that had foiled his plans for so long, the man who had shown no fear in the face of danger. What had happened? He jerked his head as he heard her soft voice once again. It seemed to echo all around the two. "I've let my wings spread.." She said inquisitively. That same line echoed around them, as if sung by angels, of an immaculate chorus. He cleared his throat and acted as if he saw no potential threat. "I do not care, dear Nova if in fact that is you in there." He muttered. "But the fact of the matter is, I will kill you, for destiny befolds I as the Omega Ruler. So.. if you'd be so kind as to-augh" He sentence seemed to cut itself..very short. The reason why, was very clear. This new Nova, had already driven a powerful left hook of her fist, into Demi's ribcage.
His breath caught short as he stared down and realized the fist. Demi's eyes widened as he stumbled back from the impact. "Whoa!" He grunted. "H-how did you obtain such power?" He shot at her.
From the Other Dimension Nova's friends watched. Ace turned to Zero and Kai. "That's what I'd like to know." Ace stated as he crossed his arms. Kai looked back at Nova not really caring. It was like his thoughts were semi true. "I always knew Nova had something waiting to shine.. but this..? It's.. amazing." He said keeping his cool. Ace snickered. "Kai, you sly dog. You've got something to do with this don't you?" He asked with a grin. Zero stepped forth and laughed. "No..I'm afraid that'd be me, realize something different about me?" He asked. Kai snapped backwards as did Ace. "You mean?" Ace was able to shoot out faster. Zero grinned. "Yep. I do. You both know how Nova always seemed to like opposites? Yin and Yang? Light AND Dark? Well there's nothing like completing the cycle if ya know what I mean." He winked. Kai smacked his forehead. "You b*****d. You've gone and added your power to Nova's, haven't you?" He shot at Zero. Zero smiled. "Yes. I'm afraid, that I cannot be revive or brought back any longer." Ace's eyes widened with fear. "What!?" He yelled. Zero smiled faintly. "I realize I've been quite a berserker.. in my years of living. And ever since the compression, I noticed that my power was too wild. When I saw Nova face off against Apocalypse, I found out what was holding him back.. he needed my power. I've been selfish, this whole time. Nova's been nothing but a hero for us all. Sure, he's been down in the dumps, and sure we've all had our heroic standups, but think about it." He said bringing his hands to a crossed position.
"Nova is the real reason we kept so powerful. Nova.. my sister. Heh, you wouldn't believe some of the practices and spars we've had unless you saw them yourself. Now, Nova is more than just that person we once knew. She holds every hope and dream in the entire cosmos of life, in her hands." Kai smirked. "Zero.. You've done alot of maturing in the recent time. What gives?" He asked the former hot headed berserker. Zero grinned. "It comes with experience my friend. I've given Nova the Dark Ultainian DNA. I'm nothing more than a mortal now, and you know what? I'm glad. Nova deserves this awakening, more than ever. Now.. lets set back and watch.. the new power.. like a pheonix rising, reborn from it's ashes." He said pointing to the spiritual mirror.
The wings upon Nova's back, made purely from her own energy gave a sudden growth. She looked deep within herself as her mind shouted with answers. Hey sis, it's me Zero.. yeah.. by now you've probably figured out about my transfer. While this means I cannot come back to the world of the living ever again, I'd just like to remind you about something. This is Kai's and Ace's first official death, so.. think about that. Oh and.. thanks for everything Onee-sama.. you've allowed you're wings to spread. Please.. spread them fully, and allow yourself to fly..." A mental picture appeared with Zero giving her a wink. Love ya.. love ya.. love ya. The two words faded in an echo. As Nova listened to these words, and out of all the violent energy wrapping itself around her and Demi, out of all the noise... a rainbow reflection bounced off from the tears.. riding down her cheeks. She gripped the hilt of Master Dragon tighter and sniffled. "Thank you Zero..." She said softly while looking to the rising sun. Demi began to laugh, which broke her moment of silence. "Pathetic. This is the mighty NOVA??? You can't be serious.." He said giving her a disgusted snarl. "Please.. don't even get me started.." Demi growled as he whipped his arm forward making a dark blade appear out of thin air. He was ready to fight.. and given that he had just broke a moment, so special to his opponent, so was Nova. She thrusted her hands forward as she began to yell. Her mouth opened to a roar as the once gentle energy, began to flow very violently with lightning crackling around her.
Demi grinned.. "Well then.. shall we get on with it?" His response was a powerful electric punch delivered to his upper jaw. Nova's speed, as well as her power, had undergone a tremendous change. With the Dark Ultainian DNA filtered within her normal Ultainian DNA, it changed her entirely. Her butterfly wings, were brighter, flashier than ever. She recognized the abilities and knowledge gained as her brothers. "I won't let this go to waste Zero!" She yelled. Master Dragon, the sword in her left hand, also lit up. The blade shiimmered with a rainbow coloring as the dragons on the hilt flared. She watched as another dragon molded itself in, and gasped. "wha?"
Behind the Mirror, a simple laughter ensued.. maniacal laughter. "That's right Nova! Unleash the DRAGONS!" Zero roared with a power hungry expression. Kai looked at him in wonder and then laughed. "You sonova b***h... you're still the same as ever.." Zero looked back at Kai and grinned. "This.. is gonna be quite the spectacle.. Watch.." He said mystifyingly. ((hehe, wait till the next chapter to find out what happens >:3))
