SSJ3 Goku is stronger than Gohan. The Daizenshuu States that the only being stronger than Kid Buu was Super Buu w/ Gohan Absorbed. That INCLUDES j3 goku. However, he put up a good fight against him, which means they were close to equal power (for arguments sake, let's say they are). Now, this means that Kid Buu was also stronger than his super form with Gotenks absorbed. However, this form was enough to overpower gohan easily. It was obvious that gohan was stronger than the regular super buu...so that's easy
so lets put all this together.
Kid Buu = j3 Goku
Super Buu w/gohan absorbed > Kid buu/goku
Super Buu w/Gotenks absorbed < Super Buu w/gohan absorbed
Gohan Buu > Gotenks Buu
Now, since Gohan < Gotenks buu, and Gotenks Buu < Kid Buu/goku
Thus: Gohan < Goku
Let's put it this way for the list of events linearly:
Super Buu< Gohan < Buu w/gotenks < SSJ3 Goku = Kid Buu < Buu w/ Gohan

Well if you want to know who is stronger go on Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and make them battle on computer that is what i do

SSJ3 Gokou. Kid Buu fought SSJ 3 Gokou, and he wasn't even strong enough for him. Gokou had to call upon the Genki Dama(sp).

ultimate gohan has some bad a** power behind him and he can keep tha form longer then goku can keep ssj 3. now if you remember when it was super buu gohan could have beaten him but that dumbass goku (love him but he is kinda stupid) threw the potara earrings at gohan which caused him to become absorbed

 welp for this forum i would say ultimate gohan because the longer ssj2 goku fights his energy drains and he'll get weeker while gohan will keep fighting i meen hell if he can beet cell with a one arm kamehameha! with one broke are i think he can beet ssj3 goku

Guys, keep in mind that it IS a close call. And there is nothingto say that Gohan couldnt go SSJ after he unlocks his abilities. The point is that he doesnt NEED to, because it's so strong. If i were to classify the power, it'd be somewhere in between J2 and J3. And since he couldn't go J3, it's the best he's got.
