Can someone suggest a good RPG game? I would prefer a game that I don't have to use wine in order to run, The Linux Game Tome has a lot of RPGs listed, 153 to be exact, but I wondered if anyone here has ran across one in their travels that made a good enough impression on them to suggest it to someone in need? I need my fix crying

I do... but more so for Windows, and Wine would be required. smile

Uplink is awesome, but it isn't an RPG...

Best RPG for linux is NetHack. Don't knock the NetHack smile

One of my favorite RPGs of all time is NeverWinter Nights. There is a Linux native client for it, which works surprisingly well. It also comes with an editor, though I believe that only works through Win32... There are a couple expansions for it, plus a pile of 3rd party modules and a very active community. These days you can get the Diamond edition for $19.99 - which includes the Original NWN, both commercial expansions, and one of the better 3rd party modules.

Yea, alas NWN2 lacks any/all support for platforms other than Windows. It sucks.

Just RPG or MMORPG?
i just know MMORPG.
But most of them are pay to play. There is Eve Online, and Doffus but they are both pay to play or pay to play more <.<
But if i got it right there is a way to put DirectX 9 working on wine to put windows games running on Linux if you want i can get u the page with the tutorial i found. even though i haven't tried it yet cause I'm too lazy <.<

Yea... Eve Online only supports Nvida, I have an ATI so I can't play it. I was originally asking for RPG, if I wanted a MMORPG then I would play Kingdom of Loathing xd
