Woe to the man who is different
who tries to break down all the barriers
Haha, I didn't bother to put "amis" on there. I know there's a few guys in the guild, but I don't see you often and I don't know you that well. Sorry. sweatdrop
Okay, so maybe you don't really need to know everything that is going on in my life, but too bad, I'm going to try and make you read this anyways.
I'm in high school now! And loving it (except that for the first three days of this week I literally had to stay up until 2 in the morning completing my assignments-and mind you, I was not even procrastinating!).
While some of my subjects are easier than middle schools, others are more difficult. For example, AP Bio. The book is tough reading, and the lab reports are long. Even if I do enjoy it (it's challenging and the labs we do are fun), I keep on failing to maintain composure during major tests (and we've already had a lot). I guess I can't physically maintain my composure when I know that failure is a real possibility. I think I've been much to habituated to getting by on cramming yet still acing tests. My strengths and weaknesses are really starting to show, though. I'm very high on scoring in Art, Honors English, and World History, but in Honors Geometry and AP Bio, I keep on doing not as well as I think I would. :/ And that's why I'm gone: homework.
I'm glad that I made the decision to go to a private school, though...it's so new we only have freshmen and sophomores, and I really don't get picked on at all. In fact, one time some sophomores actually asked me to help them with their homework. o.o
But I do hate that nothing really happens-and that for another four years of my life, I'm still stuck wearing uniforms.
On the other hand though, the teachers actually do care for each student individually. I've got more choices than when I was in middle school, including, yes, actual opportunities for higher classes, and for foreign language. I'm taking French now. biggrin And what I'm planning to do is, since one can take Art over the summer to have a study hall period in the next year, I shall take both French 2 and Spanish 2 in my sophomore year.
And guess what? SONATA HAS HAD A 15% INCREASE IN GETTING A LIFE! While I'm still completely oblivious to the social scene outside of school, I am making a lot of new friends/allies/acquaintances. Seriously. I could name about three-fourths of our freshman class and their basic personalities.
So, how is life treating you?
Anything important that has happened since my abscence?
Anything you can comment or advise me on?
Should I tell you about our one really awesome history period where my teacher connected Britney Spears and Kevin Ferderline's marriage to the ancient Greeks? xD (Totally serious)
Woe to the man
who tries to stretch the imagination of man
He shall be mocked; he shall be scourged by the blinkered guardians of morality
who tries to break down all the barriers
