The Nazi threat was never completely wiped out. They regrouped in their hidden base in the North Pole, unnoticed by the rest of the world, training their troops and trying to formulate a plan to conquer the world, this time for good.

The solution came eventually when their top-notch scientists discovered a mutagen that had a profound effect on human physiology. The most surprising one was that people with most of their grey matter intact could be revived even if deceased, albeit they were but mindless automatons, uncontrollable and wild. On most living beings, this serum created pretty much the same effect, causing death in a minute and reviving the subject as the same mindless automaton, which fed on dead flesh. Also, over time, some subjects' physiology was drastically altered, growing fangs, horns, claws, multiple limbs, increasing their size and even making them faster and stronger as cancerous muscles grew on them.

However, when combined with a different serum, the results were profound: The person appeared to die then was brought back to life, with all functions intact and no mutation whatsoever. However, those men seemed to be impervious to normal damage, surviving anything short of damaging their brains, just like the rest of the zombies. These men were dubbed "Immortals", and became the elite strike force of the Fourth Reich. Even the deterioration seemed slight, if any, but they were obviously dead. Eventually, using specific Extremely Low Frequency electromagnetic wave transmitters, they were able to control the zombies at a local scale, giving them primitive orders like where to go, to stay, to attack etc.

After training a thousand Immortals and several thousands of troops, the Nazi's tested their mettle with a few sabotage missions all over the world. After they realized their superior technology and mutagenic serum was up to the task, they unleashed hell, sabotaging the entire militaries of countries with lightning-fast raids and poisoning as many as they could using the serum. And to make sure noone but themselves survived, whenever they found about large groups of survivors that had a chance of prevailing, they cut them down. They wouldn't care for small bands or loners- those would be worn out and eaten eventually, and even if not, what could they do against this new beast?
