Yawning Loustearha managed to stretch as she bounded and loped forward almost as if she was heading towards a sanctuary, though she had no inkling of where she actually was. Pride borders and the rogue territories blended together, so it was hard for her to tell when to be outwardly friendly, and when to be cautious about each and every single step she took on her own accord.
Flicking her dual colored tail her light blue hues peered around.
It seemed rather empty.
Shrugging the empty feeling off she figured there were others somewhere, though where in particular she wasn't sure, she didn't live here so how could she?

Despite the stranger's mistaken impression, the desert sands were far from empty; though the sun baked mercilessly on the harsh land there was life throughout the magnificent borders of the firekin. Indeed life thrived, pulsing through the land itself, speaking with it's own voice to those who had the mind to hear.
Young paws stepped lightly across the sands, reading the land with each deliberate stride, senses alert, taking in all the land spoke to him. Today's task was perhaps a difficult one, but he would succeed, he would see to that. He had succeeded in tracking through the desert before, today would be no different.
Ears twitched, steps paused, his posture stilled as if feeling the earth, as if his paws sensed the vibrations of nearby steps. A smirk crossed his maw, eyes narrowed, his prey was nearby.

Loustearha's paws sifted through the sand that she tred upon, blue eyes searching, nose always alert in case some scent passed across it, however the air here was strange as if it was weighted with something, so it threw her off, and she wasn't paying too much attention.
She stopped when she believed she saw a flicker of color form the corner of her eye, but nothing seemed to be about, nothing.
This was strange, it didn't feel right.
Something was out of place.
"Hello?" she called absent mindedly, trying to see if someone was near, but she doubted anyone was. She'd be able to see them...right?

Ears swiveled forward, head slung low, tail flicking just above the earth. Red eyes narrowed as he stalked forward a step, then another. A few more steps, each more rapid than the first, paws falling silent on the desert sand.
It happened in a blur. Talons unsheathed from paws, the hunter streaked over the sands like a brush fire. What may have appeared to be nothing but a lifeless stone mere moments before had suddenly shot from its perch, fleeing the claws of the predator. Left, right, predator and prey weaved across the desert, unearthing a new wave of sand with each turn. Predator closed in, talons outstretched, moments from catching his prey, it would be his.
But it was a moment too late. Just as it seemed sharp talons would sink into its hide, the rabbit vanished beneath the desert sands, fleeing to the shelter of it's burrow; he had failed. Other hunters may have fumed or roared in frustration; Hiashi'ikusa simply peered into the burrow with narrowed eyes, he would not fail again.

A flash of red catch Loustearha's attention and she stopped quickly, almost frozen in motion as if the other would not see her if she did not move a mere muscle, if she didn't take one more breath. From where the other was she couldn't tell if they were an adult, or smaller, male or female, though upon squinting she indeed found that it was a male, and smaller than she had suspected at first.
They had tried to catch a hare, and failed, probably much to their dismay.
"Hello?" she called out, she winced after she had, probably a stupid idea, but one couldn't be sure. Then again, the other was still young, and hopefully friendly so that Lous would understand where she was.

Ears snapped toward the sound, head turning an instant later to bring blood red eyes to rest on the speaker, eyes narrowed appraisingly. She was larger than he, older, apparently in decent physical condition, her posture was unsure, though perhaps it was more naivety.
"It is dangerous to address a firekin in the desert, a bold act, or rather, a foolish one."
His voice was smooth, calm, and while his words were not a threat there was a dangerous tone to his speech. She was the second rogue he had seen in firekin territory besides the god and his 'aunt'. While it certainly provided experience his siblings lacked, he would have preferred his hunt not be interrupted by fools.

Firekin? At his words Loustearha tilted her head in question, a sign that she was unsure of where she was or who the firekin were in fact. She wasn't very keen on the names and positions of prides around the area. Flicking her tail light blue eyes watched him, something didn't feel right, something made a prickly feeling travel up her spine.
She wasn't sure what to say, or if she should even speak.
Strange, she always felt the need to say something most of the time.
"You were close..." she said letting her eyes trail towards the area she had seen the hare dive off to, "Tricky little things they are, though next time I doubt it'll get away," she said offering him a smile.

"I do not need your council or sympathy. I failed, simple as that, the idle words of a rogue will not change that."
Eyes narrowed, a single fang showing in the sneer on his maw. Foolish creature, why would he care what she had to say, a rogue who was obviously unfamiliar with the desert. She knew nothing, and even if she had, it would have made no difference.
"Or perhaps you'd prefer to be the one hunted next time."
It was neither threat nor warning, but simple statement of fact. Ashi was not the only firekin stalking these lands, many of them larger (for now) and more aggressive than he who would not have thought twice about attacking a rogue who dared wander into their land. Fools all of them, blindly charging in, it would eventually lead to their own destruction..

Loustearha chuckled at him, and quirked a brow at his words, "Me be the hunted? For now I think thats a bit out of your league little fella," she said with a smile and a hint of a smirk, flicking her tail while watching him with light blue hues. She knew it probably wasn't the best to egg him on, but he was still so small as of yet, and he didn't seem to have very good manners at all.
Ah well, he'd learn.
Or maybe not.
"Your too small as of now, though perhaps one day you'll be big enough and strong enough and fast enough to catch me, but for now," she said walking a few paces, watching him, she winked," Stick with the hares."
She was laughing hysterically internally.

If the lioness had hoped to spark a reaction, she would find herself sorely disappointed. While many firekin would have taken the insult as a reason to attack (if they hadn't done so already) and his sister certainly would have sank her claws into the fool who dared utter such words, Ashi was not so easy to rile. For unlike others, he was cold, emotionless, ever calm. He was a calculating creature, far from foolish, and though he was young, the assassin had been taught well.
And one of the warrior's most important lessons was that underestimating an opponent could prove a fatal mistake. Though the firekin was young and smaller than the lioness, he was not that small. As one of the blood, Ashi had inherited the large size of the desert pride, and with each day closer to adolescence he grew larger and his mane grew fuller. And though he was still slightly smaller than his sisters, he was still larger than the average juvenile rogue.
"Bold words, or are you really so foolish to think I would waste my time or threats on you?"

"Foolish perhaps, it all depends on the way you perceive things," she said with a nod and a wink. He was so serious! In a manner she wanted to try and sweep his paws out form under him and pin him to see if he knew how to play, he seemed so..calm, it was so, so strange. Flicking her tail Loustearha took a few steps, and watched him, he didn't seem too eager to do anything.
What a strange boy, even for one of his age.
"Well then..." she said watching him, waiting, but nothing came. "I'd think you might be a little more reactive to someone passing this way, guess I shouldn't assume huh? Maybe I'll find ya again one day, and you'll be a great adult," she eyed him over. and gave him a smile, "By the looks of it, you'll be quite grand."
Lous started walking off, and glanced back to offer him another wink, and one more statement, "By the way, watch the hare's tail, might help," and with that she strode off, whether or not he'd chase her or follow her didn't matter now.
Would be nice to see how he'd grow in the future though.

His reaction remained cold, unreadable, whatever reaction the rogue had been trying to spark, she would be disappointed. There was no anger in the young firekin to spark, no fear, no humor, he did not know the feeling of emotion for he had none.
Ashi was not afraid, he had never flinched from confrontation, even against the great god of conflict he had met many months ago, or against the white general who now shared their den. But though he was unafraid, he was far from foolish. It was pointless to charge the rogue, he felt no need to protect the land falling apart under the rule of cowards and fools.
He simply watched her leave through narrowed eyes, unconcerned with her words save for thinking her an idiot to utter such useless nonsense. He had no use for compliments or advise, nor did he care for her predictions. If the lioness had known what he would become, she would not be so eager to cross his path again, and if she had known what was lurking nearby, she would be glad he had not followed.
