Well, since this has been left alone by our lovely group so far, let us talk about what radical right-ists (I'm looking at you, Jack Thompson) consider to be the corruption of the American youth: Video Games! blaugh

Video Games are awesome! they don't know what they are talking about when they say that video games promote violence. The only thing that promotes violece is badly drawn american cartoons! I know this because this Halloween I laid outside on my porch in a corpse costume and got beaten up by nearly every kid, cowboy, spiderman, and fairy princess that came along (plus a child's mother)! And a boyscout tried to steal my cellphone! Kids at those ages cannot possibly play all of the same video games relentlessly. Thus the problem lies in American cartoons! (not anime)
~disclaimer~ I luv cartoons American or otherwise but this Halloween night. I have lost all of my sympathy toward children. *bruised*

Y'know Res, I believe you've successfully created WRUD's first disclaimer, congrats! blaugh *huggles* But, nah, I'd say it isn't the cartoons that are making kids violent (we're waaay past Tom and Jerry being the norm, and that "stuff" was SO horrendously ... just ... poor cat) I'd have to say it's the mainstream media. You have thugs and rich spoilt sluts as role models, of course the kiddies are gonna be a bit unhinged. I think it's said, the cartoons us 90's kids had, that stuff was good to grow up with. None of this stuff I see on the cartoon channels nowadays. But, we digress. Back to the gaming! domokun

lol WOOT 1st disclaimer 0^o^0 jonathan: do not blame the cookies. they are obvisously "innocent" victims anyway...
I bought Resident Evil 4 on PS2 and i was playing it for the first time. it was dark outside; there was no one home; and i already suspect my house of being haunted... well, i own almost every zombie movie i can get my hands on. all of that combined... ^.^; i played the game for 15 mins before i scared myself too much and had to turn it off. i dont scare easily but somehow i seem to freak myself out more often then i mean too

Yes, RE4 took my zombie virginity! I remember at 2:00AM I tossed it in the game cube, threw a pizza in the oven, and got set. No lights, eating a pizza, and reaching a rather queer looking village. I nearly woke up everybody in the house when I saw the dude with the chainsaw. I was wiggin' out like crazy. Such good memories. heart " I was saying! heart

Resara YAY Zombies!!! Glad to hear that im not the only one who gets freaked out while doing this stuff. its funny. i can watch movies without batting an eyelash but give me a game (with good graphics) where things randomly pop out and attack me and im more than a little on edge I thought about that, and decided that the reason it works for me (us, I guess) is that the fact that we're actively participating in the plot progression of the game allows us to better role play ourselves as said character, thus when, say, a freaky parasite infected Spanish villager beheads us with a chainsaw whilst wearing a scary bag and having his buddies come at us with pitchforks and axes, we're more apt to, allow my crudeness, makes our pants go dirty-style! ^_^;;;
