Aenarion was floating on the thermals, rising up, circling before soaring down to catch another and repeat the whole process. He had lost the trail of the one he was hunting for and for now was merely flying around trying to work out what he should do next.
Spotting a berry bush far below him, a small smile crossed Aenarion's lips and he soared down, his long blonde hair flying behind him as his silky white feathered wings angled themselves backwards, plummetting towards the earth before flicking out, taking up his weight as he swooped over the bush, a hand shooting out and grasping a branch before his wings flapped strongly once more, raising him up into the air again.
Circling on another thermal he nibbled on the berries while watching the ground below him.

[Dun Dun Dun]
Ajax walked slowly through a fenced off field. He had taken a small detour into a farmers land so that he could take a look at the cows close up. He was currently patting a small calf, it would moo lightly to him after every few pats. His time with the cows was cut short though, as he heard a yell far off from the farmers house. He stood bolt upright, staring in the direction of the farmhome before he quickly started to flee. The farmer had a gun afterall. He jumped the fence with ease and soon vanished into the not too dence thicket of tree's.

Movement and a shout caught Aenarion's attention and he swooped lower slightly to see what was going on. Seeing the farmer with a gun chasing someone, he frowned and swooped lower still. He hated violence, even if he did carry two swords on his back.
Deciding to make sure the farmer couldn't hurt anyone, including the one running away, he drew one of his swords and swooped down lower. Without landing he flew down and brought the sword down, breaking the gun so it would be useless before rising back up again, ignoring the man's protests as he resheathed the sword and followed the runner.
Swooping down again he landed in front of him and asked, "Did that farmer have reason to want to shoot you?"

When Aenarion suddenly swooped down and landed infront of him, Ajax had to abruntly stop. He lost his balance as he did so and almost fell into Aenarion, though he grabbed the tree near him to keep him upright. "I was just talking to the cows." He said as if he had every right to do something like that. He didn't see why someone would get so mad over something so trivial.

Aenarion smiled at his response, glad that it hadn't been stealing or anything. Of course if that had been the case, he would have found out if it was for greed or hunger and then acted.
"That's ok then," he said. "You like cows?" he asked. He was a little surprised with himself for actually started a conversation. Normally, after determining that he wasn't needed he would just fly off and continue on his way. Maybe he was looking for a new lead for the one he was hunting but then again, maybe he was just lonely.

Ajax gave a small smile, though it faded away in the blink of an eye. "Ehh.. Yeah. I like all animals." He spoke with a small shrug. He seemed to determine this guy wasn't someone who either wished to capture him or turn him over to the man with the gun. "So whats your name?" He asked after a few silent moments.

"That's good to know; I do also. I like all life," he said, his voice sincere.
Walking over to a nearby log he sat down and said. "Aenarion. And yourself?"
After he replied, Aenarion asked, "What are you doing here, anyway? It's a long way out from any towns or cities." He knew this as it had been several hours since he had flown over one and one could travel faster by flying than by walking.

Ajax went over and sat on the ground not to far from Aenarion, "I'm Ajax." He said as he got himself comfortable on the ground. "And well.. I'm really sorta.. on the run you could say." He sighed lightly, as flickering memories of being in captivity swam through his mind. "And I quite like being out in the wilderness, far better than bustling and poluted cities."

Aenarion smiled a little. "On the run?" he asked. "What are you on the run from? It wouldn't happen to be... one of my kind, would it?" he asked, refering to his wings and somewhat angelic appearance. Maybe this guy had seen him, the one he was hunting for. If he had well maybe Aenarion would have company again. He was still missing his younger brother and was used to talking to him, encouraging him to talk and break out of his shell. No doubt that was also why he was speaking so much to this practical stranger.

Ajax didn't answer the question right off the bat, he wasn't compeletly sure this other guy was a sort of slave trader himself. He certainly didn't look it, but he didn't want to be to trusting on first appearances. Though, soon enough, he seemed to settle on this guy being friendly. He was just too different from slave traders to be one. "I'm on the run.. from well.. Slavers." He spoke quietly, his last word was hardly audible. He seemed slightly uncomfortable now, as his tail un-curled and wrapped around himself a bit.

"Slavers?" Aenarion said suddenly, his voice creased with concern. At first he didn't understand the word, this language wasn't his natural tongue, but then it clicked what he meant and he was both surprised and alarmed with this news that people actually used and traded in people as slaves.
"You're a... a slave?" he asked, incredulous. He could hardly believe that these people actually had such a barbaric practice. He made his decision then.
"You can't stay on the run forever," he said softly. "If you wish it you can travel with me and I'll make sure that they don't get you... Tell me... do you think these slavers would be interested in one of my kind, one who's around 12?" This thought sent a shock of fear through his body.

Ajax seemed to jump slightly when Aenarion suddenly said slavers. He than shrugged slightly as he looked down at his crossed legs. "Well.. I'm a slave that ran away from it's master. So i'm not technically a slave, nor am I free." He was speaking almost to himself it seemed with how low his voice was. He soon looked up to Aenarion, "Traveling with you would be.. helpful i'm sure... and.. Slavers go after people of every age." He sighed lightly, "And I don't know what 'your kind' is, but I've seen a slave the age of nine before, so i wouldn't be surprised with a twelve year old." He once again looked down to his tail, he himself was told he was taken into slavery at a very young age, though he did not remember that happening.

Aenarion's face turned to one creased with worry hearing that Ajax had even seen a slave as young as nine. He stood and started pacing back and forth, his wings twitching irratably. "My kind are known as Kae'terra. We mostly keep to ourselves, avoiding humans," he said absently, waving his hand, dismissing the importance of the information. Of course, it was this very fact that made Taskah, his brother, what could potentially be a very expensive slave.
"Please tell me you have seen another Kae'terra, free or otherwise?" he said, turning to Ajax desperately.

Ajax watche with mild interest as Aenarion got up and started pacing. "Well.. I don't know if i've seen other.. Kae'terra's before. I've seen winged people, but I don't know if they wre your species." He frowned a bit, something was obviously bothing this man now. Ajax stood up from the ground now, his tail curling up behind him a bit. "Are you think that person that's twelve that your worried about may have been captured?"

"The twelve-year-old I'm looking for is Taskah, my younger brother. He's... we'll he's been scared by certain events, it makes him susceptable. He went missing after a... phantom of my past attacked us. We have never been seperated for years, he needs me, he would not simply leave so he had to be taken and by that man. He only does it to hurt me and if he finds out about this slavery trade..." Aenarion trailed off, his worry getting the better of him.
He turned back to Ajax and asked, "Do you know of someway I can find him in records or something?" But then he cut in himself saying, "But if he's changed his name..." Glancing to Ajex once more he added, "Taskah doesn't talk..."
Now that his worry was in the open he really was getting worked up about it. He needed to fly. He looked over Ajax with an assessing eye and judged him to be light enough to carry, at least for a short time. Carrying him he would not be able to fly as far, fast or agily as normal but he probably could fly.
Unbuckling and taking the harness that held his two swords to his back off, handing it to Ajax. "Take this and hold on to my shoulders. I need to fly," he said softly.
