History: Shere Khan and Aenarion were friends, untill the day he lead Aenarion and their friends into a dangerous forest on a treasure hunt. Deep in the forest Shere Khan had found a cave full of jewels, he had taken one, unknowingly incuring the demon's wrath on himself the first time. When he dared enter a second time the demons killed all their friends and placed a curse on the holder of the jewel. Unbeknownst to Aenarion Shere Khan had given the jewel to his little brother as a present, calling in a good luck charm that would make him more brave. He blames himself for what happened to Taskah, both giving him the jewel and ecouraging him to tag along on their adventures.
If he takes Taskah back to the forest and returns the jewel Khan believes that he can get the demons to reverse the curse on Aenarion's little brother. However, it was incrediblely Aenarion would willingly let him takes his little sibling anywheres, much less that same terrible woods, so he stole him away. He still cares deeply for Aenarion, so he let's him follow closely behind, but never let him catch them.
After the incident where everyone died thanks to the testimony of Taskah and Aenarion later on and the fact that he came back unscathed the blame of the incident eveyone assume that Shere Khan had lead everyone into a trap. He was chased out of the town and banished. He spent several months extremely depressed untill he was acosted by a gang of bandits. Even depressed Shere Khan was a fighter. He eventually defeated the leader and took over the gang, which turned out the be the motivation he needed to turn his life around and begin to fix the mess he had made, his own way.
