arrow Rules:

1) No unneccessary bumping (It's what we have Spam for)

2) All entries must pay a 500 gold entry fee

3) You can advertise this thread INSIDE the guild to attract more members who might not usually stop by G&C.

4) Although you can advertise for this thread, you CANNOT pay people to vote for you, or you will automatically be disquallified.

5) No page-stretching. If the screencap is not modified, post a link to photobucket or imageshack (Or another image host site that I do not know of)

Other Information

Once there are 5 candidates a poll will be made and will be open for 2 weeks, as some people might not stop by all that often and may want to vote. The winner will be rewarded 2.5k (From the entrance fees)

You may participate in light discussion about the contest, the screencaps in the contest, or the members in the contest as an alternative to bumping the guild up.

Please send your screencap (Or link) and entrance fee to StabMyParanoia, for he is one of my mules who will manage all the entries.

Once the first round is done I will post all the competitors in the places they got with the links to their screencaps in a sort of "Archive" On StabMyParanoia's Journal.

*raises hand* o.o

erm...I've got a question! xD

Is a screencap kind of like one of those funny random pictures you see on people signatures, profiles etc. ?

Good question. I don't quite know what you're talking about random pictures and such, but it is a picture you take of your computer screen, with your computer.

How to take a screen cap:

Usually on a keyboard there are three keys somewhere in the upper-right hand corner. The first one going from right to left would be "Pause/Break". The second one would be "Scroll Lock" and finally "Print Scrn/Sys RQ".

"Print Scrn/Sys RQ" is what you press to take a screen cap. How to actually get your screen cap somewhere is to open an MS paint file, right click and paste. Then save as PNG under "Save As" under "File" on perhaps the Desktop or a folder you are familiar with. Then you upload it with preferred Image upload website (Image Shack and Photobucket are perfect examples)

An example of what a screen cap looks like after all is done looks like this:
