Possibly spoiler alert? O______o;
Before, Yuki went outside when he was little, because he saw Kyo. He went to say hello, but instead, got scolded by Kyo. The next time Yuki ran into Kyo, Kyo's hat was flying away. Yuki caught it, and went to give it to Kyo. But, instead, Kyo ran back to Kazuma, without the hat.
Later, Yuki got fed up, and wanted to run. He ran and ran, with the hat on.
He found Tohru's mom, Kyoko, in a frantic state, sobbing about losing Tohru. When she described Tohru to the cops, Yuki remembered something; he had seen a girl that matched her description a little way's back.
So, he went back, and found Tohru. He ran to get someone, but Tohru followed. So, Yuki ran, pausing at times, leading Tohru back to her house. When they got to her house, Yuki took off the hat, and put it on Tohru's head. Then ran off.
