CANDY!!!! Does the walking counter-balance it, or are we still such terrible people for consuming that many calories in one night?

My mom sent me a bunch of candy for halloween, so I just threw it all out. I don't need to be eating it, anyway. I allowed myself two pieces from the large variety bag, and then walked outside and tossed it into the dumpster. I'm not wasting 200 calories and 12g of fat of my 1,200 calorie and 25g of fat a day diet on a puny "fun sized" candy bar.

while walking is good, it doesnt counterbalance it fully sad In reality walking at an average speed of 3 miles an hour for about an hour or so burns about 150 calories, and like 3 little packaged candies kinda take over but the walk is good though you get your blood circulating so just indulge in like 1 or 2 candies (fun sized bars, anything) and just put the rest away spread it out to one or 2 a day with a balanced diet and it should be ok, sugar while it seems horrible in diets IS actually necessary (refined or not) cause if you have to little of it, you'll feel weak (experienced it myself during some parts of my diet, so has a few of my family members). Since I'm too old for halloween, I dont worry about it anymore but meh halloween candy sometimes isnt that good (depending on which neighborhood you go trick or treat at). The best thing I ever got was this dude gave away snack cakes/cupcakes since he got them free from his job, just made the rest of my bag look bad rofl

Halloween is my favorite holiday, too! But not for the candy, for the costumes and season!
As far as eating Halloween candy goes, I'm too old to trick or treat, but if I happen to get candy as a gift or there's some available at work, I usually limit myself to two fun-size pieces a day, as my dessert after dinner rather than as a mid-day snack. The rest gets placed somewhere that I won't have to look at it all day, and that's far enough away from the living room that I'm more likely to consider it a hassle to get up and get it than to drag out the stepping stool from the closet, head back to the kitchen and try to get the package down just for a tiny bite of chocolate. lol
By the time I come home from work at night, I'm just too worn out to want to do that. Haha
