The current flowed rapidly under Kenoro as he sat in the branch of an overhead branch. He had just been resting, laying his head against the trunk of the tree, and laying on the branch. Now that he was awoken, he looked over the landscape around him. This place doesn't really seem different than other place I've been to. I hope I'm wrong though. He sat in the tree, glancing around once in a while. Occasionally a hawk or some sort of bird landed near him and sat a while before Kenoro finally started petting them. To Kenoro, the day flew by, although he was just sitting there. Although, he was kind of hoping somebody might stop by this area so he could interact.

Dorian paused as he caught sight of the river; his canteen was almost empty, and he was exhausted and overheated. He waded into it, sighing with relief as the cool waters eased his burnt skin. Grabbing the container from his satchel, he ducked it under the water to refill it, and put it back into the bag. Jumping a few times, he ducked entirely under the water, swimming back to the riverside. He sat at the very edge of the river, clothes now soaked with water. He swung his head around as he heard the rustling of leaves around him.
"Hello?"

With the hearing of an animal, the hello of the man below easily reached Kenoro's ears. He let himself fall off the branch, and on the way over, a monkey tail suddenly sprouted from behind him and grabbed a hold of the branch. Kenoro put his green, leaf covered boots on the bottom of the branch, which gave the impression that he was standing upside down on the branch. He looked around, and saw the man that had called to him, sitting at the edge of the river. "Why hello there, sir. How might you be today?" Kenoro called to him, hoping he was friendly.

Dorian frowned as he saw a man fall out of the branch to stay upside-down below it. He never liked magic, and gravitational manipulation made him terribly annoyed. "I'm not fine, thank you. Could you please go back upright if you actually want to speak to me?" Dorian stated, squinting slightly as a bit of sun shone into his eyes, and squeezed the water out of his ornate tunic.

Kenoro raised his eyebrows in the man's objection to his trick as he looked down at him, but still obliged. Allowing the tail to suddenly retract, Kenoro pushed off of the branch with one foot, flipping around to land neatly on his feet a good distance away from the man. "Is it alright if I ask you what's wrong? I may be able to help solve your problem." Kenoro looked around the area again after he asked his question.

Dorian sighed, and rubbed his temples. "I've been wandering around looking for a certain village for days, I've had a bit of my money stolen from me, and I haven't had a good meal for how long, I do not know," he begun, voice beginning to rise into a pathetic whine, "I haven't had a good meal in days, as you see, I'm a scientific scholar, neither a hunter nor a magician like you are."
He pulled his shoes off, and dumped some of the water contained in them, and left them beside him, wiggling his toes as cool air reached them.

Kenoro chuckled slightly at having listen to this man whine about tiny little problems that haven't bothered Kenoro for centuries. He walked over to the guy, sat down next to him, and attempted to put his arm over his shoulders, saying, "Hey, I wouldn't know how you feel really, I haven't had very much money in ages, but that's because I choose not to. I haven't eaten in... I actually don't remember last time I ate, because I don't need to. Eating maybe once a month is good enough for my digestive system. Even though I'm not too hungry right now, I could dash off into the woods and find you a decent sized meal. Then we could start a fire and maybe stick it on a spit roast, and just enjoy the time. What do you say, eh?" Kenoro looked at the man, doubting his ability to even have fun, but nonetheless, Kenoro attempted to make a friend.

Dorian snorted slightly, swatting at the hand at his shoulder. Personal pride got the better of him, and he replied, in a rude tone, "I do not need one who does not have an idea of how I am to help me. I find it insulting, actually. I bet I can find my own meal, if I try hard enough."
Dorian pulled his boots back on, and attempted to stand up on his wobbly feet. "I need money, anyway. I was raised on it, I am associated with it, and so are my parents. Money makes the world go round, anyway."

Letting his arm fall back to his side, Kenoro stood up, and muttered under his breath, "Money's the source of corruption, kid..." Kenoro looked around the river and said, "Alright, if you want to attempt to catch something that's three times faster than you with no weapons, be my guest." A grin covered his face, knowing that this guy would be hungry for at least a long while yet. He gave a small salute and jogged off towards the trees before he could get another word in. "I'll be right back!" he shouted over his shoulder. "Weather you'll still be there or not!"

Snarling, Dorian yelled, "We'll see about that, you bloody t**t!" He began to make his way along the river in the direction he was going originally (as you see, he had heard all civilization rests at water). He could go a day or two without food, anyway. He just needed to get far, far away from that insulting idiot. The rocks of the riverbed felt blunt under his shoes, and he had to occasionally stop to massage them back to working condition.

A ways down the river in the direction Dorian was heading, Kenoro sat in a wolf form, a dead deer laying in front of him. The wolf was breathing fast, as an attempt to an animistic laughter. He wasn't hoping to scare the guy, just give him some food. Kenoro tried to imagine what he would think when he managed to find a dead deer in his path. Before the man could get any closer though, Kenoro bounded into the woods, still in wolf form.

The conditions were sapping Dorian's strength.
Almost dragging himself along the river, he spotted a wide patch of sand. Noticing that the sun was about to set, he went back into the nearby forest to get branches to cushion him.
The echoes of life surrounded him- rustlings of animals, chirping of birds, howling of wild dogs. Dorian quickly turned as he saw a figure sprint away from him, but decided it was a harmless creature. Bending down, he grasped a few frail branched with a heavy amount of leaves, and returned back to the sand spot. Placing them down and arranging them in an uncomfortable but functioning array, he laid down and stared at the faint pinks beginning to appear in the sky. The weather was highly humid- he doubted that he would need a blanket.
