Flash Medic: As someone who knows more than enough about Macromedia Flash to save it from a noob who has been butchering it and thus, informing the poor noob on the "no-nos" and "tricks" of the trade.

Ok, since that little introduction is complete, it's time for mine. Hi, I'm Spearfrost and I am a pencil and paper artist. (I put pencils to paper and draw). Everything I've learned about art was on my own. The same would have to apply to Macromedia Flash as well.

First off I know the basics:

1: What is the Timeline
2: Where it is
3: ...... blah.. blah.... to know how to do some motion tweening.

Since... that is all the knowledge I am limited too, I would like to know:

1: How to save the smooth quality of the mediocre animation I did, so I could use it as simply as I would a gif image? So I don't end up with this -----------> User Image

Please bare with my insolent questions, but if I do this quest for knowledge by "chapter" maybe I'll finally get it right.

Ahh. I asked this question a while back.
With converting files to GIF from flash, the quality gets a bit choppy. To minimize this try to use colours from the standard flash palette.
You could also try this method (SarCastiC_RaiN has told me this, i haven't tried it to know the effectiveness):

1.) Create your animation (don't use movieclips that contain animation because they will only show the first frame of the movie clip).
2.) Go to "file" >> "Publish Settings"
3.) On the "Formats" tab, de select everything but .gif
4.) Select the GIF tab and use the following settings:
-Playback: "animated"
-Options: "Optimize colors" and "smooth"
-Transparent: "Opaque"
-Dither: "None"
-Palette type: "Adaptive"
-Max colors: 99999

Note: This will not give you every color, but it will significantly expand your palette. Also, try to avoid the use of gradients because they can often include colors that won't work too well.
