What is up with the idea that band kids have no life?

We have more "life" than over half you people out there.

You may think we're dorks, but you dont see us walking around saying," that one time...at band camp..."

You wanna know what we do at band camp?

We WORK. We work harder than you do in a year. And we cram it into a two week period. So sitck that in a juice box and suck it.

I swear, we put up with more crap from other people than any other organization in the schools.

What have we done to deserve it? We've won. We've been great.

People do all sorts of things to us. They think we're retarded to dedicating ourselves to something. We don't make fun of those who kick balls, or scream things they call cheers. Why do we get made fun of for doing something we love so much?

Cheerleaders get angry when people dont consider their sport a sport. How is marching band any different? It's not. We exert just as much physical force as any others, and then some.

Band isn't just a thing we do, a class in school.
It's the reason we breathe, the reason some of us come to school, even the reason some of us are still alive today.

Band is who i am.

Band is what i will always be.

Nothing has given me more of a bond than band. Sports? yeah, ive done those. Basketball, football and track are pretty much great.

But band something else nothing else can offer.
You will never undrestand my love for band until you've given that concert, or you've marched onto that feild, then left knowing you just made so many people cry through the emotion you have exerted.

Band is about understanding you're not always the solo. That sometimes, you have to do something for a greater good. It's more than just you. It's what you're part of. It's the magnificent thing that nobody seems to care about but us.

Maybe you'll think twice before you decide to bash another band kid again.

But if you choose to do it, i promise you that they wont stop when you get in their way.

lol thank you Luke, and since you say that, i, as a bandie, will not make fun of you. well, i wouldnt anyways...but oh well... lol...
but marching band does take strength, determination, memorization of the music, and you have to know when to blow more air, when to add sticcatos..blah blah blah...but more to the point i love band. its been a major part in everything that i do.
lol...i thought that was a pretty good rant that i made up there...i usually get off subject. @_@ but i didnt ^^ yay me!
