Story Of Bryant : The Great Warrior and Lord of the Veledors.
Story Writen by George Beorem, Veledor Writer.
[from the Brain of Robert David Thibodeau, Human.]

Prologue From George Beorem

I would like to say that it was a honor to have been born within the time of Bryant. It was a honor to have met him when I was a young boy and then when I became a man to fight under his orders to save our land. And though all those things were Great Honors, this is by far the greatest. To write his story. Though I wish he was still alive to read it, but this is a honor none the less.
Bryant was a great man, a great leader, and a great lord. He landed here on our world and helped us when we needed it and soon afterwards lead us to finally take back our lives. I am glad, though sadden when it happened, that his friend, Robert, found him and they left our world. Lord Bryant, Lord Pinchbeck for those that do not know his first name, always wanted to go home, back to his wife, back to his children. So because of that I am glad he got to go home. But it has been over twenty years now. Humans can not have lived that long.
Though it has been twenty years, this is the first book that has been written in his honor. This is something that has always happened within our people. We take years before we write someone's story just to make sure we do not write their story and then a year or two later they do something else great.
But enough of my thoughts. This is Bryant's story not my own and though it has to do with his saving of the Veledors, this is not their story either. In Chapter one I'll go over the first time we met Bryant. After that I'll go on to explain when I first met Bryant and then his past. I am going to do it this way because this is how I knew Bryant.

Chapter One : The War Above

"Captian!" A soldier named John O'herra said. He was a piolet of a billion dollar space ship, one of seventeen of its kind. It was state of the art for the people of Earth, the Humans.
"What is it O'herra?" Lord Pinchbeck known then as Captian Pinchbeck asked. He had started to call his crew by their last names rather than rank when his friend and fellow Captian, Robert Thibodeau, informed him that after calling his crew by their last name and getting to know them a bit, they worked harder. Robert couldn't fully explain it because of the number of people in his crew, but he had a few ideas. He believed some may have started to work harder feeling like they meant something and were not just a Private, but a full member of his crew. He thought maybe they worked harder because they felt people needed them more. Or that it may have been that they would now give their lives for him seeing how they had become friends and even family. Bryant, though only doing this for about two months had already seen improvement in his crew. Like Robert, he could not tell fully why they were working harder but knew Robert was right.
"We are picking up a S.O.S call from a American ship," John O'herra told him. They called them American Ships because at the time they were having problems with the Russians and were told to call in before helping them out. There was only five conturys in space; America, Russia, Japan, Germany and Canada. China was no longer a Contury on Earth, they had moved to each of the five contury in space now and helped them. The reason they were no longer a Contury was simple. A war in the Chinese Goverment split it up. They did not know if they should make their own ship or help others. They had done both and even made a Space station. They had lead the space journey only to be stopped when a group calling themselves Herjini attacked. The Space Station was the first to go and then China was next. They had recieved reports from their space station and went to go save it. The other five places all attacked at once. China was gone. But they, Humans, were alive. The remaining Chinese set up little Conturies in the five now main Countries. Though there was more at one point in time, a war had also ended that. But that is for another time.
"Whose ship is it?" Bryant asked. Though he was Canadian he had gone to America to become a soldier because of a war called 'The War for London'.
O'herra had already been trying to figure that out, but they had to get a bit closer so that he could get the right readings. "Captian Wilson, Sir."
Captian Jessica Wilson. Bryant knew her all to well. He had trained with her. Jessica even had a thing for Bryant and fell in love with him but Bryant did not feel the same way. He had just got married and had a son before becoming a soldier. His wife, Ashley, meant the world to Bryant. He never wanted to leave her or his son, Ken, named after his father who passed away right before Bryant's son was born. Ashley thought it would be best to name him after Bryant's father and Bryant agreed.
"Duchovny, contact Robert's ship and tell him what we are about to go and do. I want to make sure that if this is a set up we have some back up!" Bryant said to his communications officer.
"Yes sir." Dana Duchovny said. She then started to make contact with Robert's ship.
"O'Herra, Adams, Set us on a contact course with Captian Wilson's ship. Move us in at about half speed." Bryant knew that if you were making a S.O.S signal you had been attacked and their had been a few cases now that an enemy would attack then right before they beat you they'd leave forcing you to make a S.O.S signal then when back up came to help they'd attack and take both of you out.
"Woods put our shields up! And get our weapons armed Farmer. I am not taking any chances. Scan every fifteen seconds Lafreniere. Duchovny, was the message sent?" Bryant said.
"Yes, Sir. Captian Thibodeau's Ship has got the message and is heading this way. Captian Thibodeau says to keep yourself alive until he gets here." Dana answered.
"How long did he say he would be?" Bryant asked mostly wondering how long he would have to keep himself alive if they did get attacked.
"Fourty-five mintues unless we send a second call. He is about twenty mintues away at fastest speed." Dana told her Captian.
"Good. Keep the channel open and ready in case we do need them. Let's hope we don't." Bryant told her. They all felt that way.
Space was big and to map it all out would never happen. To give someone your location wasn't as easy as just saying 'We are over here'. They used Squares. The Squares were huge but they were scanable. Once a ship got within a square they could scan for their partner. Sometimes there were even ten planets and a sun within a Square.
"Stats report!" Bryant said. He was asking a few people at once and they knew how to do this.
"Scans are picking up nothing but the American ship." Breanne Lafreniere said.
"Doesn't mean we are alone. Keep scaning." Bryant said sounding a little rude but he didn't mean to be. He just wanted to stay alive and keep his whole crew alive too.
"Shield are at full. Nothing is touching them." Dave Woods said.
"Good!" Bryant said "Hope it stays that way."
"Weapons are ready and as soon as anything comes up I'll lock them and await your orders sir!" Cory Farmer said.
"Good. How close are we?" Bryant asked.
"We are closing in on Captian Wilson's Ship." Jay Adams said.
Bryant looked at the window in front of him. He saw the ship though you could hardly call it a ship. "What has happened to it?" Bryant asked.
"It looks like it was hit with armor percing missles..." Breanne said. "Thats odd..."
"What is it Lafreniere?" Bryant asked.
"Their Shields are up... it's like they either took the missles and then found some way to get their shields active or the missles went right throw their shields..." Breanne said confused.
"No..." Dave said. "I have seen a Ship hit with Shield piercing missles. The shields either have weakness marks or are off because of the amount of damage the ship has taken. The shields on Wilsons shield were turned on after they got attacked." Dave started to push bottons on his computer.
"Woods...?" Bryant asked knowing Dave was looking something up.
"Sir! The Shields are coming fr..." Dave started to say when a missle hit the ship.
"What the F*ck!" Bryant screamed. "Lock that son of a b*tch and open fire! O'Herra get us the f*ck out of here!"
"Yes sir!" O'Herra said as him and Adam started to push buttons on their computers.
"Sir! I can't find anything to lock!" Farmer said.
"What the f*ck! People help me out here! What is going on?" Bryant ordered.
Before anyone could answer a second missle his the ship.
"Our shields are getting hit by two missles!" Dave said.
"Sir our Comlink with Robert's ship..." Duchovny started to say when a third missle hit Bryant's ship and all the power went out. Back up power came on a few seconds later but there was only enough to sacn, keep the air systems working and send a S.O.S.
"Please tell me what just happened people" Bryant said slightly calm. He knew something wasn't right.
"Sir... " His second in command said. "They hit our main systems. They knew we'd be comlinked with Robert. They tryed to hit that first but missed the second time they hit it and the third took out our power."
"Sir... " Dave said. "the first hit wasn't a miss. It was right over our comlink but because of our shields it didn't take them out... I don't think it was meant to. I think there was a second ship. I think this was a set up. I had just noticed that Wilson's Ship was shielded by a second ship."
"You mean a second ship was using Wilson's ship to lure us over?" Bryant asked.
"No." Dave answered. "Wilson used a damaged ship to make us think she was damaged. She was shielding the other ship. Thats probably why we got her ship signal. She was shielding the other ships signal. She shot our shields and a third ship hit us with Shield piercing missles. That's why I picked up two missles on the second hit. Wilson was showing him our power as he took out our comlink. She knew we'd be here and knew we'd have Robert coming."
"Woods!" Bryant's second said, Jodie Smeele, "What you are saying put Captian Wilson under Earth Law Act Seven! She would be killed for doing this."
"Not it she Planned everything out" Bryant said. "For now though we say their is three ships out there and one of them in Damaged and one is Wilsons. That we know. Robert is on his way. I am not sure how bad out comlink is damaged. We may have a link with him but just can't use it. If that is the case Robert's going to be another fourty mintues. If our comlink fell he'll be here in around twenty still. Now can we live long enough?" Bryant asked.
"Sorry to talk out of order Sir, but has anyone noticed that we havn't been attacked again...?" Private Scott Wolney said.
"Open up whatever comlink or message system you can to the two ships around us. I want to see them and f*cking scan them!" Bryant ordered.
People started to do stuff on their computers. It would take longer because of the power.
"Sir. I have our damage Report." Wesley Hogan said.
Bryant looked it over. "Like Dave said Comlink and power down. Four dead... Hogan send the order to get power and comlink back but do not turn them on until I give the order!"
"Yes sir" Wesley said then he turned and headed to give the order.
"How are our shields?" Bryant asked.
"They are fine but for the fact we don't have enough power to run them."
"And how bad is the hole from the second missle that hit our ship?"
"It looks like it's stable. From what I can tell it took out a walk way too and that walk way blocked the hole. And it's holding."
"I don't think that was part of their plan. But it helps us..." Bryant says.
"Sir..." Duchovny says "We have a message coming in."
"Let it through." Bryant said.
"Bryant!" a Voice says.
"Jessica!" Bryant said mad. "What have you done!?"
"I have taken out one of Canadas best. And in another half an hour I'll have two of you down." Jessica answered.
"B*tch! Without my Ship running Robert won't fall into your trap!" Bryant answered.
"Oh Bryant you understand nothing. Robert is going to run in to save you because your ship is going to be damaged and landed on one of the planets."
Before Bryant could answer his ship was hit with missle after missle until it fell from the sky.

Chapter Two : The Warrior of Hope

"My son. There is may things you'll never know about our world and even more things you'll never know about the planets around you. But I hope you get to know more about it than I did and I hope your son gets to know more than you." Said Stephem Beorem to his baby son George Beorem. Te then kissed him on the head.
"Oh my Lidor!" This wife, Carli said. Lidor was their god.
Stephem turned towards the voice of his wife. "What is the matter!?" he said heading towards her now. He had never heard her use Lidor's name like that before.
"The sky... It is falling!"" Carli claimed.
Once Stephem got close he could see what she meant. A red fire ball light up the night sky as it came crashing down to their planet. "Carli!" Stephem said grabbing his wife's shoulders. "Go to George. I'll go see what this really is, okay?"
Carli nodded and headed to George. Stephem headed to the town square. he knew there would be a meeting there to see what to do about the fireball. He would try and force the people of his planet to look but wasn't sure if he could get his way.
"We have to go and look!" a man said once Stephem get there. It was Stephem's best friend and though they did not have the same mother or father they thought of one another as brothers.
"Icholas is right!" Stephem said.
"It could be a Herra!" A random person said. Stephem couldn't see who it was but Icholas knew who it was.
"Gray! If it is Herra then we have to go. We have to make sure none of them leaved!" Icholas said. He was right. They knew it. All of them.
"Icholas, take your men and go." A man named Grand Master Jord said.
"I would like to take Stephem in case it is something more scientific." Icholas said.
"Okay" Grand Master Jord said. "Just go now!"

It took them about twenty minutes to get to the fireball's landing site.
"What is that?" A soldier named Coltom asked.
"Stephem?" Icholas said.
"It's not Herra but I am not sure if it is safe. It looks like a transport device... of some kind..." Stephem answered.
"Sir... I found a... thing..." Another soldier named Kyle said.
Icholas and Stephem headed over. "What do you make of this Stephem?" Icholas asked.
Stephem was nervous and slowly bent over to check what Kyle had found. "It is a body... but... I think it is dead... I think... they all are dead..." Stephem finally said.
"Stephem... are they an enemy or a friend...?" Icholas asked.
"From what I can tell... I think the Herra attacked them... " Stephem said. He was wrong but in saying it He was found.
"We have something moving over here!" A Soldier named Caleb screamed.
"Keep him alive!" Icholas screamed back. Him and Stephem and Soldier Kyle headed over there.
Stephem grabbed the man "I think he is hurt. I think we should treat him. He has stuff like the Herra, he was attacked by the Herra. Maybe he can help use beat them..."
Icholas nodded. "Treat him as much as you can her with Stephem's help" Icholas said to Trevor, another soldier but also a medical officer. "Everyone else keep looking for people. We have to hurry. If the Herra attacked them they may come back for their ship. The people here are our friends now. Treat them like so!"

A few hours later, Icholas and his men got back to the town. Stephem and three people from the fireball crash were with them. Two of the three were in bad shape. Though they did not know anything about this new group of people Stephem had a feeling he knew what to do to help them. It would take three days before one of them passed and another two days before another one passed. The third would live but would not walk fully for another two months. The day he would wake would be the first time George got to meet him.
Stephem had invited his son to come around and see where he worked. The Veledors even when young can remember their past, even their childhood.
"Look my son, this is a being from another world. Hopefully they will come to help use beat the Herra." Stephem said.
"Where am I?" The Survivor of the fireball crash said. He was speaking a language that the Veledors did not understand.
"Nurse!" Stephem said. "The Survivor has woken. Get me some food and inform The Grand Master." Stephem then looked at the Surviver. "I am Doctor Stephem Beorem."
The Survivor did not understand Stephem and the look on his face showed that.
"I am captain Bryant Pinchbeck of the Canadian Space Program from Earth!" The Survivor said. "Do you speak English?"
His words fell on deaf ears.
Over the next few months Stephem tried to learn Bryant's Language and Bryant tried to learn Stephem's. It was hard and even with the amount of time they tried to learn one another's language they both failed. At this time George was beginning to enter his first Jussa. Jussa means when he becomes old enough to start to walk and talk. Bryant knew it as his birthday. George's first words were 'Food' but in English. Bryant looked at the child "Do you want food?" Bryant asked.
The child repeated "food food".
Bryant handed the child what his mother had given him whenever he had came. He was not sure if that was what the child wanted but it was worth a try.
George grabbed the food and started to eat it. This would be the birth of a new chapter in the Veledor world. A new child would help translate the Veledor language to English and English to Veledor. With this child the Veledor people would get to know Bryant better then they would have even if Bryant knew their language by himself.
Even though Bryant wanted to leave right away he could not. His ship had been damaged too badly and then taken by the Herra. He wanted to go after the Herra but no one knew were they lived. The Veledor did not have the technology to get Bryant home. So all Bryant could do was wait and hope that his people would find him.
Months turned to years and Bryant learned the Veledor Language. George learned the Human language almost without effort and they started to notice small differentces in one anothers Language. Veledor's never used a letter that Bryant called 'N'. George could not understand how Bryant figured this out nor what this 'N's meaning was but it meant something to Bryant.
Learning the Veledor language wasn't the only thing Bryant did. He also trained. He trained in the art of Zeedoo and also trained the Veledor's in the Human art called Hand-to-Hand Combat. Bryant would train until the day he was needed.

Chapter Three : A Step into the Past

After being part of the Veledor for a few years Bryant and George were sent on a Veledor mission. It was called 'Ked Befe Hor'. Bryant called it 'Camping in The Mouth of Hell'. After talking about it George figured out that Camping meant being out in the wild away from everything. Living like our people did long ago... or 'Roughing it'. When George asked what 'Hell' was, Bryant answered "Hell is umm... Were evil people go after death."
George looked at Bryant confused. "Then why are we 'Camping' in the mouth of it?"
Bryant looked at George. "You know the animals out here man. You know that they are evil. They kill without thought. We are camping in their land."
George did not fully understand it but then again he didn't understand half of what Bryant said and Bryant didn't understand most of what the Veledor people meant either.
As the night went on Bryant and George started to talk. George told Bryant more about his people. How they can remember almost everything from the day they were born. How they had different tests for their young to see what line of work they'd be best at.
After a bit of George telling Bryant about the Veledors George asked about the Humans.
"We are like you" Bryant started to say. "We have Gods. We have wars. We have tests. They are just all different though. We have different Gods. Wars about different things. And we test our young differently."
George looked at Bryant. "Tell me about your gods."
Bryant looked up at the sky. It was beginning to be dark. The only light came from the stars, and moon and the fire they had made. "I don't know much about the Human Gods. There is so many of them. We have many groups that believe in many things. Humans were like you guys once though. We believed in a God or Gods. Would pray to them about everything. But then one day someone just stopped praying. Next day another stopped praying. Finally no one prays but for a smaller group. We may pray now and again but we don't feel like anyone is there..."
George looked at Bryant. "Like when my father pray to Lidor to make this war end and then the next day we get attacked?"
Bryant looked at George. "Yeah. It makes you feel like he isn't there."
George looks at Bryant. "My Father says it's because Lidor is testing us. He wants us to do things on our own."
Bryant smiled. "Could be kid. But if God or Lidor or whoever wants me to do things on my own then why do I pray to him? Why not just do it on my own."
George smiled back at Bryant. "You must like Relli then."
"Who is Relli?" Bryant asked pulling out a bottle of water from his bag.
"Relli is a story book character that my grandfather told my father and my father told me. His wife went missing one day. He would pray every night for her safe journey home. To be with her again but she would never come home. Finally after praying for almost a year he left and went looking for her. He found her only three days later. It was said that from then on he would never pray again and would do everything himself."
Bryant looked at George. He didn't really understand the message in that story but didn't care much.
"So... you said your planet has wars too. tell me about them." George asked.
Bryant drank a bit of his water and then looked at the fire. "I don't know much about all the wars on earth. Some have been over land. Others in the name of God. Some started to take over land, to make things better but ended up not helping. Some where to free slaves... Some where to help and others to destory. The one I do know about me and my friend called 'The War for London'. From what we were told a underground group had started to take over London and had started to move and take over the U.K."
George did not have a clue what London was nor the U.K but he did not ask. He just let Bryant tell his story.
"They were afraid that the Underground Group had been from all the Countries and not just the U.K. They were afraid they were going to take over everything. Robert joked how he thought they were probably all paid by the American government so that they could take over the U.K."
George knew who Robert was. Bryant had said his name before and talked about him a bit. Ashley and Ken were another people Bryant had talked about too. The American Government was something new to George though.
"We were trained in America, Robert and I. Thats when I met Jessica Wilson. She had joined the Army. We got trained together. When we went to war Robert and I joined a Canadian Group. We were teamed up with An American team. Jessica was part of that time." Bryant sighed. The thought of Jessica pissed him off. "Before the war was over a bomb hit the building My group and Jessica's group were in. I got knocked down, everyone did. The Building started to fall around us. I looked around, trying to find anyone that was still alive and get them out of there. there was two other people doing the same. I can't remember whos team they were on but it didn't matter. I was helping people up and telling them to get out of the building. Thats when I saw Jessica. She was under a part of the building. She was still alive, just her leg was stuck. I lifted the building up and pulled her up and got her out of the building. Then it fell. I looked around doing a head count when I noticed Robert... he wasn't with us. Their was two groups of fifteen.. humans... thirty in total. Only ten of us lived but Robert wasn't with us. I looked at the others. A Medical officer had lived and was trying to get everyone checked up when I heard his voice. "We have to get out of here!" Robert said coming around the corner. He was cut up a bit but alive. Seeing my bro made me feel great. We had said the only way we were going to die were as old men on the front of our house in a rocking chair. Though me and Robert had different mothers and fathers we thought of one another as brothers. We did what Robert said and it was a good thing too. We moved to a second building and hide. Thats when we saw a small little army head to the building to check it out. "How did you know?" A Private asked Robert. Robert looked at him and answered. "We got attacked... it was mostly a guess that the attacked was near and would head to the building to double check. I know I would." I smiled. I wanted to call the Private a idiot but I didn't even think of being attacked a second time. I was more worried about the wounded. Thats what was different about Robert. Together me and him were unbeatable. "Bryant" Robert said "I think we are the ranking officers now... We have four wounded to the point that they shouldn't fight. One medical officer and then six more officers unless you want to take the dude with the radio out of action so we still have a radio." I looked at Robert. I knew what he was trying to say. He wanted to attack. Five men verus fifteen maybe twenty. "How do you want to attack?" I asked Robert. Robert looked at the army that had attacked us. "First we need to see what weapons they have. If they have a rocket launcher we take him out first... duh... from there I think two attack from the right, two attack from the front after the right two attack. The last person snipes. Takes out the Rocket guy, we could stick the radio guy with him to help him out." Bryant's plan may work. The two on the right would hide in a building and once the sniper hits the rocket guy they let a full clip empty onto the enemy. Once those two people have the enemies attacking them the second two Hit them from the side. They wouldn't know who to attack. The thing would be placement of them... the sniper and the two groups. We figured out later that they were after someone's body. They were looking around for it. Once the sniper got ready, he shot. The other two teams were already ready. The sniper hit from behind. They all turned to try and attack. Thats when me and Robert started to fire and before they could fully attack us the other group of two started to fire and then the sniper shot again. Robert and I and the other two man group were in a build, different builds but builds none the less. It was meant to give us cover and it worked. If they attacked us the sniper and other two man group could pick them off. If they attacked the sniper there was four people just shooting at them. And so on. No matter what they had to hide to stay alive but like I said placement was key. They had destoryed the only cover that was close. By the time they made it to a new cover spot the sniper had got them. We raided the bodies for ammo and I.D. No I.D on them so we were pretty sure they were the underground group. We then radio for help and got the wounded out. I found out as we waited that Robert had been blow out of the building and when he came to he saw the building fall. He then heard the Medical officer and came running. Robert and I became Captains after a bit and lead many attacks that should have killed us. Jessica teamed up with me a bit and started to fall in love with me. I think she always had feelings for me but never acted on them until I saved her. I finally had to tell her that I had a wife and did not feel the same way for Jessica as she did for me. Robert and I then got sent to a Base just outside of Germany. Rumors started to form that the Germans were the ones attacking. Whoever was attack it didn't matter. Not when the Boom it. I am not even sure if a Bomb was dropped or if it was already there or even whos bomb it was. All I do know was that there was thousands of groups in the U.K three days before the bomb went off. Three days ago though everyone got orders to move farther out but for a hundred men or less. I can remember when we were heading to the German base Robert said that he thought it was odd how so many groups had been taken out. When that bomb hit though... Robert's group and my group ran into the German base hoping that would help if the blast made it's way to us. It did help but the German base was empty. Robert told me one of his men says that none of the systems had been used in over twenty years. It may have been used in World War Two. That didn't help make us feel good about any of this. We were sent home a few weeks later. I was in my early Thirties by this time. Thats when I got a letter that I had to train in new techinal stuff and three years later China was attacked. I was sent into space after that. Robert said he thought the U.K was trying to stop space travel and America, with help probably, attacked them to help get us into space. Robert also thought China fell because America held back info they had. But none of it was proven. About five years later I landed here. You know the rest of the story... "
George Looked at Bryant. "Maybe you're here to stop the Herra."
"Maybe. But lets just get past tonight" Bryant answered with a smile.

Chapter Four : Herra, The First Meeting

Bryant passed The Veledor Tests. George did too. Bryant was almost fifty-five human years old. George was Twenty human years old. The Veledor people do not have ages like this. They have Ranks. The Rank is what test you have passed. If you have not passed a test you stay that age until you pass. Because Bryant was not from their planet they could not force him to catch up to the Test he should be on or could they even make him do any tests but Bryant still did the tests. Only thing was that he did them when George did them. Bryant noticed that every Five years or so George was sent on a test. Tho The Veledor people did not fully plan it that way it is how it happened. They went by Moon placement and weather changes. Years meant nothing to them but that is only what they thought. Needless to say when George turned twenty he was sent on another test and Bryant went with him. The Test was to go to a Mountain and return with the feather of a Beebee. Bryant called it 'One Giant a** Bird!'
They traveled for five days to the mountain and another three up it. They talked about Bryant's wife, Ashley, his son Ken, his father Ken, his mother and real brothers and even about Robert and the Army. They talked about Bryant's ship, Earth and Canada. They had talked about this stuff for almost twenty years.
"I just don't understand something" George said. "If Robert knew where you were then why hasn't he found you?"
"He didn't know fully where I was. Just a large area. It's like me telling you I'm on this planet. It may take you your whole life just to find me. You may not even fully find me either. You may find a trace of me but you still haven't found me. Besides if Jessica was trying to set me up she could have told Robert anything. Hell, she could have killed him."
"No way" George said. "She couldn't have killed Robert."
"I'm just saying man. Like he could have been told not to look for me anymore. I could just have been called dead."
"Yeah... I hope not. I hope they find you."
"Me too man. I don't want to be stuck on this rock forever! This place smells."
George laughed a bit "Bryat thats your feet."
"George... BryaNt. There is a 'n' in there man."
"Right right. Sorry. Bryant..."
Bryant smiled. "So you want me to take the first watch?" Bryant said with a smile. They haddn't had to take watch in so long.
'Snap'
Bryant and George looked to their left. Bryant looked at George and put his finger up to his mouth. "shhh" It was a noise Bryant made when he wanted or needed George to be silent. Bryant had trained George in some hand signals that Bryant had learned in the army and when Bryant did them George was shocked. He didn't think that he would ever see Bryant use them. Bryant probably never thought he'd use them again or even when he was fifty-five years old for that matter. He told George to head to his left and hide. Bryant then moved Right. George did what he said. George couldn't see anything until it got near the fire. It was a Herra. He was holding a Zeo or as Bryant called them 'Gun'. He wasn't alone, George soon found out when two more came out of the shadows. They started to sniff the air. George started to get scared. He had heard stories about Herra. He heard how three Veledor took out one Herra by luck. The Herra were much stronger then Veledor. George wondered how Bryant would fair. Thats when Bryant came out of the shadows and grabbed one of the Herra's head and turned it. It made this 'Crack' sound that Bryant later told George was the Bones in the Herra's neck breaking and killing him. Bryant held the dead Herra in his arms and started to shot the other two with the dead ones Gun. After all three Herra were dead, Bryant ran over to their bodies and took everything he thought would be useful from them and then headed to where he thought he saw George go.
"Bryant..." George said softly grabbing at Bryant's arm as he headed near him.
"I need to know as much about the Herra as you know that is truthful and fast." Bryant said sounding nervse.
"Umm... Like what?" George asked trying to be a bit more helpful and give Bryant the info he wanted.
"They hunt in groups, right?" Bryant asked.
"Yes..." George answered.
"Would the three of them be a group or are they just a scouting party?"
"Scouting party? What is that?"
"Umm... I group that goes ahead of the main group and check to see if everything is good so that the main group doesn't get attacked..."
"Oh... Umm... from what I can tell no. They normally have the other group on a ship..."
Bryant's eyes went wide. A ship. He wondered if that ship could become space bound. "How many of them are on the ship?"
"No one knows. No one has ever got close enough to it to figure that out."
Bryant smiled. "Then I guess we'll be the first. Get your stuff."
George started to head over to the fire when Bryant grabbed him.
"I know you know how to use a Gun so here." Bryant handed George one of the three 'Guns' that the Herra had. "If we get attacked, do what I trained you and you'll walk out of this alive."
George nodded and headed for his stuff.
George didn't know what they were getting themselves into and neither did Bryant, but it didn't matter.
Bryant and George started to follow the three Herra's tracks back to their ship. When Bryant saw the ship George could feel the joy coming from Bryant. It was finally a way home.
When they entered the Herra ship they walked into 'The Mouth of Hell'.
The only thing that kept the two alive was the fact that Bryant had trained George in the art of Human gun fighting. He would hide behind a wall and fire. The Herra did not know this style and would just stand in the open and keep shooting. This is how the Veledor use to attack too. After clearing out the ship Bryant and George went to the front of the ship and started to check out the systems.
"I don't understand a letter of this" Bryant said to George.
"I know... a few of them but... not enough... plus I don't know what the Herra word for anything is..."
Bryant looked around. "George... Go and get all the weapons in here. Then get all the bodies off this f*cking ship and I'll get this baby running."
George nodded. After doing what Bryant asked George met up with Bryant. "What now?" George asked.
"I think I can lock the door to the ship. We'll go and get the feather and then come back. We'll go together just in case."
George nodded. They went for the feather. It did not take them long and when they got back to the ship it took Bryant about fifteen minutes to unlock the door. George rested inside the ship as Bryant tried to figure out the system. It took him almost three days but Bryant figured it out. George was shocked because Bryant roughly decoded the Herra language and learned to fly a foreign ship in less then three days. They flew the ship to George's home town. The people there were shocked to see a Herra ship, but once Bryant and George came out of it the town was confused. George explained what had happened. Bryant had become a Hero. For the next three years Bryant would train the Veledor soldiers with George's help. He would train them how to shoot better. He would train them hand signals and he would train them to hide and shoot. He then trained some in how to work the ship. Thats when Bryant found something out. The ship had the location of the Herra base within it's systems.
Bryant knew it would, but just couldn't figure out how to tell where it was until that day.
"George" Bryant said "Tell the Soldiers we end the Herra's rain of Terror. We are going to rip out their heart. We go to war!"

Chapter Five - World War One

"Veledorians!" Bryant said. He liked calling the Veledors, Veledorians when he was talking about a large group of them. Though when he said it to use it sounded more like Veledorias. They never understood why but they were about to never care. "Behind me is a ship. All of you know this ship. I, with help from George Beorem, took this ship from the Herra. Noticing their weakness I beat them and now have trained you to also be abole to beat them. I have found something that is going to make you all happy. I have found the Herra's base location. This ship can take us there. So... we go and we Fight! And we show the Herra that their technology is going to be their down fall. That Technology is nothing if you don't know how to use it. That our training is better then theirs! We show them that the Veledorians are better then them!"
The crowd started to scream in joy. It would be the first time in their whole lives, the first time in Veledor life that they would fight the Herra and truly believe they were going to win.
"Everyone thats going. Go kiss your wifes. Hug your children. Tell them you love them. And tell them... that you'll be back! We are going to win this War!" Bryant screamed.
They believed Bryant. Why shouldn't they. He was right. The Veledors could all feel it. They did like Bryant said then they headed back to the ship. Bryant gave them all a Herra gun. The Herra guns were better then the Veledor guns. Then Bryant took a seat in the Captain's chair.
"Set in the Herra base location and move there." Bryant said.
A Veledor did what he said. Bryant trained him to.
Once they got to the Herra base the ship slowed down. Bryant hoped this would work. It was the only part of his plan that would fail. But to everyone's delight the base doors opened.
Once they got inside Bryant stood up. "Once we land, open the ship doors. Once everyone is out close the doors and once we are clear, go with stage two of the plan."
A Veledor nodded and said "Yes sir."
Bryant then headed to George, who was with the other soldiers getting them ready to storm the Herra base.
"Bryant. We are ready," George said.
"Good. Now remember people. Do what you were trained for and you'll walk out of this alive and much happier!" Bryant said.
A few seconds later the ship landed. They could all feel it as the ship hit the ground a bit harder then it should have. Then the doors opened and they all stormed out and headed for cover. They started to fire at the few Herra that were near the ships. And once they got out of the hanger the Veledor's in the Herra ship started to fire at all the other Herra ships in the hanger maker sure that the Herra could never make a counter attack.
Bryant and the others made their way deeper into the Herra base. Now and again they would run into a small group of Herras and take them out.
George looked at Bryant. Bryant had a look of slight confusion. "What is wrong Bryant?" George asked.
"Just the look of this place is so high tech but we have moved in a good amount and no alarms have gone off. Plus even with our gun fire we haven't drawn a larger group of Herras. I just find it a bit odd."
George did not understand why any of that really matter but he took Bryant's word for it. George knew that Bryant had more experiance dealing with war and technology.
Bryant started to move in deeper into the base and the group followed him. After about fifteen mintues the whole base had almost been checked. Only a small area had not. Bryant put up his hand and the whole group stopped. He then waved his hand to one side and then the other. The group broke up almost perfectly in half and went to either the left or right. Bryant walked a bit more forward. He looked around the corner. There was nothing on either side. He walked a bit more a head and waved in his men to advance forward a bit. He wanted them behind him but far enough away that if he was attacked they all didn't die because of being too close. Bryant slowly moved them up until they got to a set of doors. Bryant then got his men ready and up his hand on the door handle. He then took a deep breath and quickly opened the door and at the same time used the door as cover. He had his back against the wall and the open door on his belly. That's when he started to hear gun shots. They sounded like they had came from the room. If Bryant's thoughts were right then his quickness saved his life. The Herra in the room almost saw the door open and opened fire. Bryant moved away from the door, still keeping his back to the wall. The Veledors started to shoot into the room. They could hear Herras screaming in pain as the bullets hit them.
Bryant believed that the Herra did not come running out of the room because they had been confused on where the person that opened the door was. But know that the Veledor had fired back the Herra started to attack. As they ran at the Veledor, they passed Bryant without knowing he was there. Bryant noticed this and started to shoot at them. he left himself open but hoped that it would pay off. Before the Herra could even notice Bryant was killing them off, they were either shot by Bryant or by the Veledor. The battle did not last long and when it was over Bryant told his men to hold while he checked the room out. He then came out and walked over to George.
"There is another room in there." Bryant said. "The problem is that the placement of it isn't in our favour. I think they have their leader in there and this was their strong hold. The only way then straight on."
"How is it not in our favour though?" George asked.
"It's a hallway. Big enough for a single line of people. If we fight in there, we'll be picked off. The people in there had to have heard the gun fight. They are smart enough to know that they'll win in there rather than out here. But I think I have an idea."
George looked at Bryant. "Do tell?"
"We get our men set up right and we just fire at the door. If we are lucky we should be able to take out the door and then pick them off at range. they may even come at us... if we are lucky."
"And what if we are not lucky?"
"Then either the door doesn't break or they stay to the side."
The idea was a little tricky but if it worked then the Herra would no longer bother or attack the Veledor again.
Bryant set everyone into the spots he needed them and then gave the order to fire at the door. After about five mintues he told everyone to stop. He then looked at the door. It was giving slowly. So Bryant gave the order to keep shooting. Another five mintues went by when Bryant gave the order to stop shooting again. He noticed that the door had a few holes in it. He smiled. This plan was working. He started to head back when he noticed something.
"Hold your fire..." Bryant said then he started to head towards the door. He used a piece of shinny metal to look into the room. Bryant's eyes went wide. "Get back to the Ship!" Bryant screamed. "Run!"
Bryant turned away from the door and started to run. The Veledor followed Bryant not sure what was going on or why they were retreating when they had clearly won but did it anyway.
Once they got near the hanger the building started to shake. A few Veledor fell down. Others noticed and started to help them up. Bryant did not help. Some thought it was him being a coward until they all got to the ship. It was ready to leave and Bryant was standing out side of it.
"Move it soldiers!" He said to the few Veledor standing near the entrance of the Hanger. The Building was shaking more now then before. "George, do we have everyone?"
"But for those four yes."
"Then tell the pilot that once those four get on the ship takes off."
George did what Bryant asked though he didn't understand it much. He was confused on why Bryant would risk everyone by not closing the door right away and making sure everyone was in the right areas. George thought maybe it has something with the odd shaking. Aftering telling the pilot Bryant's orders the ship started to move and George noticed it. Fire entering the hanger. Once the ship left the building Everyone could see the damage. The whole Herra base was blowing up and almost a mintue after they left the whole place was gone. Bryant's orders to take off right away saved everyone.

Chapter Six - In Honor of a God

Only a Year after the death of the Herra race the Veledor started to build a castle for Bryant. The castle would double as Bryant's tomb because he had only a few more years to live, or so Bryant said. Bryant felt it in his heart. He wasn't sure how much longer he would live but he knew it wouldn't be too much longer.
Because it was Bryant's castle he was in charge of some of the design but he didn't want it. Because of that the Veledor got what Bryant wanted and added other things from their own minds.
Bryant's castle was built up in the Mountains to show he was better then anyone else. There was a path leading to the castle that was made by the amount of people traveling to the mountian with stuff to help build. They made a Landing pad for the Herra ship Bryant had killed to get and learned to fly. There was Veledor writing on the landing pad that read 'Bryant'. The Letter B was showen with a box like S without the last little bit. The R looked like a P. The Y looked like the Veledor B but backwards. The A looked like a box like O. The N was not added because it was and still isn't in the Veledor lanuage. The T was a backwards P.
There were stairs leading to the landing pad from the little villager path.
Leading from the landing pad to the Enterance were two pillars that had trible like Scorpions. Though they do not have Scorpions on their planet The Veledor still put it there. Bryant wanted it.
The Enterance was Veledor made. It was weird. They had a hall way that lead to a wall. The wall had a short wall in the middle coming out. It cut the path in two. One side had a door and the other had nothing. The door wasn't a real door just a hole in the wall. On the other side was a Round room. To the left a large window that was just another hole in the wall. On the right the same. There was however another door on the other side of the circle room. Again the door was just a wall in the wall.
Once you walked into that room however everything became more normal. There was finally a roof. To the left and Right were normal sized Statues of the warriors that had fought with Bryant to take out the Herra. On the walls were Scenes of Bryant's ship, as a fireball, crashing to the planet. It also had Bryant's fight with the Herra's the first and second time, and a scene of him setting on his throne as a old man.
Walking down the hall a bit more, were two large doors. Inside, the hallways turns so it goes left and right now rather then forwards. To the left there is a kitchen, as Bryant called it, and a dinning room, again what Bryant called it. To the right were the rooms for everyone that stayed at the castle and bathrooms.
Going left or right and you can turn, right before the kitchen or Bedrooms. turning brings you farther into the castle. The path was beautiful with paintings of Bryant. There is even clay working of him. and a glass picture of him. George's wife even cut little clay like pieces about the size of a small rock and colored each rock and put them together to make Bryant's face.
Then there is two water walls going into two fountains.
You are now in Bryant's Throne room. Once you walk in to your left is a ten foot statue of Bryant's wife Ashley holding their son Ken. To your right is a ten foot Statue of Bryant's human friend, Robert.
Then there is Bryant's Throne.
Behind the Throne is a open room that holds a empty casket. It was meant to be for Bryant but that did not happen.
Behind that is a courtyard that is boxed in but hallways. The courtyard has a twenty-five foot statue of Bryant. His right arm is bent at the elbow. The forearm is outstraight and his hand it open with his palm upwords. George asked him if he could request it and have his casket within Bryant's hand. Bryant agreed to it knowing that it meant a lot to George.
George's family is now buried at Bryant's feet.
Behind the courtyard is an area where new art work is placed and a Statue of Lidor stands.
It took almost ten years to get everything fully done. Bryant was already a old man pushing the age of seventy. He would never look at another woman like he would his wife.

Chapter Seven - Goodbye Lord Bryant

Bryant was pushing seventy now. His body was getting weak and so was his mind. He wanted to go home but the hope for home was so far gone. He had been on his planet for almost fourty years. Bryant wasn't even sure is the statue of his wife really looked like his wife or not anymore. Bryant would do nothing anymore. He would spend all day and night sitting on his throne. He had animal skin and metal armor on him. He never really left his throne. Rarly ate. He had given up on life, on going home. He didn't know what god to curse nor if there even was a god to curse. He didn't know if Robert was dead, if Ashley was dead or even if Jessica had gotten what she should have the day Bryant fell to this planet.
"Lord Bryant!" George's son named after Bryant said coming into the Throne room. His name, because of the Veledor N problem was Bryat.
Bryant didn't even look up. His heart, his soul had given up caring.
Bryat knew this and just said what he had came to the throne room to say. "Our men say that there is a ship heading this way." Bryat said happily. But Bryant did nothing. The boy sighed. "I just wanted to inform you that we are going to try getting a hold of them and seeing if they can get you home, my lord..." The boy turned around and left the room. He was hoping the news would have given Bryant hope but Bryant couldn't have hope. Hope would only be broken if the ship could not get him home.
"Unknown Ship!" A Veledor said in their lanuage. "Please Contact us."
The ship was flying around at the time of the message and right after it the ship stopped and hovered there.
The Veledor looked at a second Veledor. "Do you think they understood us?"
"Not sure. Second another one" Another Veledor said.
"Okay." The Veledor pushed a botton and sent a second message to the unknown ship. "Unknown Ship, this is Veledor comand center. You have entered Veledor. Please Contact us."
There was silents again.
"I don't think they understand Veledor." A Third Veledor said.
"People of Veledor. This is Capta' Robert Thibodeau from the Plait of Earth. We came e'peace" The Ship said.
The Veledor where shocked to hear the name Robert. They were even more shocked to hear them speak Veledor.
"What do we say back?" A Veledor said. They never thought they'd be in this spot.
"Catpain Robert. We are going to be sending you the location on where you can land." Another Veledor said.
"Thak you." Robert said. "We'll make our way there now"
Robert's ship started to move to Bryant's Castle.
"Tell the Castle that Robert is heading their way!"
Though they did not know it at the time Robert could not speak Veledor. The Human technoligy just aloud Robert to decode their language the more they spoke.
"Lord Bryant" Bryat said. "Lord Robert... is heading for the Castle."
Bryant did not move. Bryat sighed and turned around. Thats when Bryant's head looked at him
"Robert?" he said.
Bryat looked at his lord. "Yes. I'll send him in once he gets here"
Once Robert landed, the doors on his ship opened. Robert got out of the ship alone. He was old. About the same age as Bryant but looked a bit better for his age then Bryant did.
"I am Looking for Bryant... B..r..y..a..n..t" Robert said. He knew that they couldn't understood him but he hoped Bryant's name would mean something to them.
"Hello Robert" Bryat said. "Come this way."
Bryat lead Robert to Bryant who still was on his throne.
"Bryant!" Robert said. "Dude you look like sh*t"
Bryant laughed a bit. "F*ck you old man"
"Good to see you kept to our agreement and stayed alive so that we could die as old men sitting in our front lawn throwing sh*t at kids" Robert said.
"Glad you could finally get me off this planet."
"Yeah but by the look of things you have made a name for yourself here."
Bryant laughed. "Yeah... What the f*ck took you so long?"
"When I got to where you said you were nothing was there. I scanned the area for three hours. Got your signal and Jessica's and then a Fedoural's. I figured that out in the first hour. After that though I couldn't find anything. Thats when I relieved my comlink with you was still up. I locked onto the comlink signal and figured out that it was near by but the battle marks I got when I scanned the area showed something was up. So when I went to your comlink I made sure I did it smartly. Thats then my scan picked up a Fedoural's ship still in the area. It had been hidden behind a planet's moon. I also noticed a bit after that, that your com link was Jessica's ship. Thats when I figured that this wasn't adding up right. I shot and killed the Fedoural's ship in one hit but made it look like it still had a chance to Jessica and when she came to attack me and let her have the first hit to make sure and then took her out. I then reported back and told them everything but they told me that they had knew someone had been working with the Fedourals. They said everyone that had been attacked, never lived and that you were dead and I should head home. I knew something was wrong there so I said that I had engine problems because of the fight and that it would take me a bit to get them fixed and then I'd be home. I scanned the whole area and couldn't find a damn thing. I finally had to go home. It had been almost a week and I was being called a traitor. I knew if I didn't go home, then I'd be dead and being dead would be do neither of us any good. When I got back I tried to get them to look for you but after a month nothing worked so I went to plan B. I told them that I would stop looking. You could have never lived a month after being attacked by the Fedourals. I didn't believe it but I made them believe I did. A few years later I had a mission in a area passed here. I made my path so I'd pass here saying I had word that there was enemies in the shortest path. I scanned some more and I started to pick up different ships that proved to me that someone was trying to cover this up. Every chance I got I deep scanned the planets. Nothing was showing up. In twenty years I deep scanned each Planet over five times and still nothing. I knew your ship had to show up but that didn't even show up. I finally was forced to retire. Luckly your son had joined the army. He had the same dream I had in finding you but he didn't have a clue what he was looking for. We shared info and when we could we would travel passed here and scan. When I retired I handed everything I had to him. Your son had found a new loot hole that he used. It said that if someone dies that when we are not in war his body can be looked for as long as there is hope it can be found and that it didn't take up a lot of man power. With my scans from the past and his scans he got the okay. Thats when he got a scanner upgrade. He had me aboard the ship and we looked then finally he noticed something. Something that the new scanner picked up. A part of your ship that fell off that they never found. Thats when we started to deep scan the planet for anything that would look like your crash. We now knew you had to be here. We knew that your ship fell to the south-west and we just had to find the crash site. With my skill about the old ships I knew how your ship would have fell and what your people would have tried and what the Fedourals would have done if they knew our ships. It only took a few hours to find the crash site and thats when I noticed why I would have never say it before. The area there is over grown... like if someone put a ship engine down there with a leek that fed this planet."
Bryant looked at Robert confused. "Our ship engines were meant to kill forest not give them life..."
"I know but this world isn't like ours. It feels of stuff that it shouldn't. As we scanned it we started to notice this. This planet keeps things alive even if it was never meant to live. Once something dies, it makes that thing or area grow better and will eat whatever killed it. Your ship had been taken from something else. Could have been Fedourals or someone else. But everything they missed, like the Engine liquid stayed. That feed the forest. The part of your ship they didn't find had almost eaten but for a few parts that I think are on this world too."
"That would mean this planet wouldn't eat it then..." Bryant said trying to understand everything.
"Yeah. And your alive because your so close to the people that live here. I have noticed some ships here that should have been eaten but from what I can get from it is that they either move around a lot or are in mountains."
"Wait more ships?" Bryant asked. that info scared him. "That would mean the Herra still live"
"Herra? not sure who they are but the ships, everything in that area is dead. From what we could tell was that an explosion detoryed a lot of forest about ten years ago. The forest then grew back. The mountain bases were all linked with a path and each got part of the forest growing in them, cutting the forest made it grow more. So they probably tried to remove it and in doing so killed themselves."
Bryant smiled.
"Anyway man, lets get you home. Ashley has been informed that we may have found your body. She has wanted to finally put you to rest for so many years. To finally see you would make her so happy."
Bryant nodded. "I just have to say goodbye to two people. Bryat get your father!"
Bryant said goodbye to George and Bryat and the Veledor people and then he got aboard Robert's ship. There was a Robot on the ship, probably to help Robert get Bryant's body back incase he was dead. Then the ship's doors closed and the ship took to the sky.
It was the last time the Veledor ever saw Bryant again but his memory would be with them forever.
