So this is a story I started to think about over a year ago, it didnt start off as Oakleys story but it is now. It was however the begining of Darwith, though the plots are completly diffrent.

Please post any response to it thus far.

RATEING:
Pg-13 or R

Oakley shivered as he rounded a turn in the stark, cold hall, his nude body hunched forward in a wasted effort to find warmth. Rows of exposed backs stood before him, each man chained from ankle to wrist to the one in front or behind. They stood slumped in their own misery, naked but for the shackles connecting them together in a single strait line. They were silent, no voices echoed down the dark halls, having stopped long ago as the men grew to exhausted to protest their captivity. Of the hundreds hobbling on there was very little that the men had in common with each other than gender.
How long they had shuffled through the dark labyrinth of corridors Oakley didn’t know. At first as time passed and the line moved slowly one step forward at a time he had felt pain in his bare feet stabbing through his calves with every movement. He had been tempted to sink to the ground as many others had, just to rest a moment despite the pull on his bloody wrists, but this thought fled his be numbed mind soon after the first of the men in front of him gave in to the pain. The resulting punishment from their captors was enough to have even the most weary of the prisoners think twice about resting.
Now the cold had seeped into the very morrow of his bones, his feet had lost almost all feeling, turning into heavy weights that threatened to drag him down. The only reprieve from the cold was when Oakley stepped in a puddle that smelled suspiciously like urine, he was oddly relieved, the brief warmth enough to start a flicker of hope within him, that is, until the substance froze to his feet. For one passing moment anger went through him as his mind ran deludingly in circles, blaming the one who had left that little bit of warmth for taking it away. He sighed and dragged his hands to his face, rubbing at his eyes in an effort to wake up from the nightmare. He really couldn’t blame whomever had left the puddle on the ground he thought sanely, after all he had been holding back the urge to pee for several hours, had in fact day dreamt of letting loose on one of the guards walking the line of human guinea pigs.
That’s what they were here for, to be lab rats. It was a revolutionary new idea by the government, take the supposed useless scum of the earth and give them something worthwhile to do with their lives. Sacrificing themselves for the greater good, the perfect excuse to decrease the over populated cities of earth while finding advances in the new field of perfecting human’s for warfare.
