When I was putting [or trying to put] my 6gs in, I couldn't, they started bleeding so I stopped, took a shower, cleaned, and soaked them in salt. I have NOT skipped any sizes at all, and have never experianced difficulty before. I had my 10gs in for WEEKS and they were heavy so, when I got my 8g taper, it slid right through with no sticking at all. So I just got the 6g taper in the mail and I tried it thinking, ok, my ears should be real good. I tried EVERYTHING to lubricate [holey buttr, jojoba, and even satin] but nothing worked. Any help?

put your eights back in, let them heal fully. then, i would suggest tugging/turning your plug/earring thus slightly stretching the piercing. do this until you feel they have actually enlarged. take a hott shower FIRST, it loosens the skin, apply lube, and they should slide right in. don't force them or you risk a blow out.
Im at 8 going to 6 right now, and the tugging really seems to loosen them up, allowing the 6 to go right in.

i have a tendency to move ridiculously slow, but i tug my too, until the point where the next taper is never a problem. i would say wait a month, but keep moving the jewelry. have you considered using weights the week before stretching?

I went really really slow with mine. I even plateau'd at a few stages. Once at 4g, once at 00g, once at 1/2" and now at 1". The whole process was about 4 years though.

Thanks gys! Ima just nurse them and treat them like new piercings for a while with my 10s in. I think I should wait 2 months at least before I stretch next, yes?
