 This is a flayed one, they use sharp blades to tear the flesh from peoples bones, and then they wear the skin.

Mind Flaylers just eat brains. They don't skin people. They do mindwash people into being their slaves though.

I've had to fight one of those in a DND adventure. It was tough, avoiding the tentacles, but it only lasted four rounds, with my blade hacking into its face, that is.

I was level eight, and I was a druid. Mind flayers don't have much HP, but they have some abilities that made those twenty four seconds seem like an eternity.

Monsters: In Merchant of Menace, the monsters in the Valley of Desolation are going to be awesome. I don't want to divulge them, to anyone.
So I'll instead talk later on the monsters that COULD be encountered in the two mountian ranges that need to be crossed.
