 the walker system For the English release, Bandai dubbed "God Knows..." In my opinion, it's not half bad, though their choice of VA (Wendee Lee) fits Haruhi better when she's not singing. xP

Hrm, I haven't seen it yet actually. *clicks the youtube links* I only watched a couple minutes of the dub out of curiosity, it wasn't as bad as some dubs I've heard... but not all that great either. I'm totally in love with the Japanese seiyuu as it is. ;_;
Also, omg... love the Heroes avatars on your post style. heart
EDIT: I agree that MilkyCabbage's version is better, sounds more age appropriate for Haruhi's character. When singing Wendee Lee just sounds too old for her. confused Wasn't as bad as I thought it might be, though.

Sounds kind of...country-ish. .___.; Haha, yeah, that's one of my mine gripes with dubs... voices not fitting the characters. And Haruhi just isn't Haruhi without Aya Hirano. sad

This is'nt really that good but it's alot better then I thought it was gonna be, wendee lee is ugly and old though so they can never do the thing over here like they did with Aya Hirano.

You can't directly translate and still try to fit it in exactly the same. Lyp synching looks like crap. Sound is crap, Absolutely misses the emotion the original had. And as said before, she sounds WAY to old. (the official version)
Even MilkyCabbage misses notes. Don't people have that listening ear?
Sorry but english versions of god knows won't get the best out of me whee

e___O wtf. One, yes, we know, SHE SOUNDS THIRTY YEARS OLD. They should've gotten a singer just for that song, because EW someone who is 52 years old should NOT try to imitate a teenage voice. Two, what the hell is with the translation?! They pick out words that have way too many syllables. Which therefore leads to three, the lip-synching sucks. Also, the emotion in the dub? Slim to none.

All though I'm not like in *love* with it like Aya's version. I was happy they dubbed it. I think it starts to sound better later on the beginning sucks.. I don't really hate it, it's better than what I would have expected so. Happy me~
It made me decide that for some upcoming con i'm going to dress like Haruhi and sing it though. x3
