My sister wants to send a thank you letter to our father's Israeli cousin for a wedding gift.

Help translating would be very appreciated.

Here's the basic note:

Dear Cousin Zaleg,

Thank you very much for the thoughtful wedding gift. We missed you at the wedding, but we hope to share simchas with you in the future.

love...

Ok, so something like that?

li'ben-dod Zaleg (dunno if I should put "hayakar- is that too personal?)

Todah rabah al hamatana hayfah sheshalachta li-chatunatainu. htga'aganu alecha bachatuna, anu mitkavim shenichagigu biyachad bi'simchot rabot batid.

bi'ahava,
....-insert names here-

...Corrections? ^^;;

So here is your basic note with some corrections that I made:

laben dod Zaleg hayakar.
todah rabah al hamatana hayafa sheshalachta lechatunatenu.
hitga'aganu elecha bachatuna, ach anu mekavim shenachgog yachad od smachot rabot ba'atid.
bivracha.

I think that "hayakar" is nice and not too personal.

You can also change "hitga'aganu elecha bachatuna" to "chasarta lanu baerua".
