I am aware this doesn't have anything to do with the guild. But I do this everywhere I go. i do this to find those who have suffered as I and hoped to help mend their pain by talking with them.
So go ahead and reply if you've ever thought you loved one so dear that it was pointless to go on without them?

Nobody is like that, I'm pretty sure.
Anybody worth that kind of feeling wouldn't want you to feel that way, so it's a mute point.

You don't get it though. They may not want you to feel that way, but you can't help it. It's obvious you have not been able to feel that way about someone. Try and think who you are talking with next time you are going to try and compromise a point to a forum.

No, that's not the case. I started feeling like that for a while with a certain person, quite strongly actually, but then the above idea occurred to me. A few good knocks on the head got it through my skull and I no longer have to deal with the unnecessary bad feelings.

Whoever said they were bad feelings? You jump to far too many conclusions for my taste. I just simply stated that you cared for them. Most would die to hear," I'd die for you." But all they ever get is a I love you. People are afraid to say how greatly they care and expect that three word phrase to express how they feel.

My apologies. When you said you wished to "mend their pain," I concluded that you wanted to help them with bad feelings.
But, my bad. I guess pain is a good feeling to some people.

I don't seem to have really clarified though. In my post, it reads you would do anything to end their pain. Some people have gotten hurt with situations like those where it was not returned to them. I know how it feels, and I seek to help them. But more often, those people I have a lot in common with, so I enjoy talking with them. Sometimes the problems are discussed and sometimes it's just a random conversation. Those who are hurt are often more lighthearted when talking about something.
It's got nothing to do with spiteful things towards one you once cared for. Though many would still try to stop their pain if they care.

I suppose I'm not the best person to try to make understand what you're going on about here, though. You know, since I'm one of those people who got, figuratively, shot in the a** in an emotional situation, and came out of it with the mindset that anyone who thinks he's really been "hurt" needs to be shipped off by their parents to some sweatshop in china to support themselves for the next three or so years on the few pennies they make a day.
