Lonely EagleAn eagle soars through the day,
Looking for innocent, tiny prey
His wings carve through the air like a thousand knifes
Before this moment, he has taken many lives
He will take yet another one,
This on will be easy, and will get done
He plunges toward the sea of green
Hearing that alone rabbit scream
As his striving hunger calls out
He gives a protracted, dreadful shout.
His spreads his talons out so wide
And gets the hare before it even had a chance to hide
With that hare gripped so tight,
He beats his wings with all his might
The eagle calls out in the air
While gliding to his magnificent lair.
He drops his prize on the ground,
Eager to show his family what he had found
A shot rang out and without a glance,
That lonely eagle lost his chance
He falls slowly from the sky,
Wondering why at that moment, why, oh why?
With his heart beat slowing down
He then finally hit the cold, hard ground
With so many lives he cost
His was done, he had lost.
