List your favorite Doom artists/releases and why they are significant to you.

Skepticism - Stormcrowfleet is my absolute favorite Doom album and is majestic and powerful; a loooong ******** journey. Time seems to stop for me when I listen to it.

Wormphlegm's "In An Excruciating Way Infested With Vermin And Violated By Executioners Who Practise Incendiarism And Desanctifying The Pious" was an excellent release. Reminds me of Abrutum's "In Umbra Malitiae Ambulabo, In Aeternum In Triumpho Tenebraum" in a few ways; torturously drawn out, droning, terrorific music/noise for upwards of an half hour.

Deinonychus' "Mournument" and lately "Warfare Machines". Mournument is quite a different album from Deinonychus' other works, it's something like Candlemass and Bethlehem's "SUIZID" set downtempo. Warfare Machines is very similar to Mournment in that they stray away from the mournful doom to a more aggressive mixture of doom and black metal. Marco's vocals are great on both recordings, ranging from a suicidal-high scream to a pitted bellowing.

This is quite good, and it stands out from the rest of its supposed niche. I'll have to check out that Abruptum release as well, never looked into them yet.

The album titles are fitting then ^.~

My favourite doom band would have to be Sunn O))) mainly all their releases are significant due to the atmosphere that they create.

Second would be Bloody Panda's "Pheromone", I just find it an overall addictive album.

Of course essentials are: My Dying Bride's "Turn Loose the Swans" as it is just has a depressing tone to it and Funeralrium's Demo due to it being a really challenging yet atmospheric listen.
