Yes, the first yaoi Boogiepop fanfic. I'm so proud! ^-^ (but I probably shouldn't be... sweatdrop ) Anyway.
This Boogiepop story takes place one year after the first incident with the Manticore. Takeda Keiji is now an established designer. Miyashita Touka still attends cram school. And all the other characters have moved on with their lives. Of course, Takeda still remembers Boogiepop, and his meetings on the roof. But never did he expect for Boogiepop to come back...
October 30th, One Year Later
Takeda sat at his drafting table, working on a project his boss gave him the previous morning. It seemed like a large project to be due in two months. He was to design the layout of a new museum. Takeda only started working six months ago. Six months ago is also when Miyashita broke up with him.
"I'm sorry, but I'm too stressed right now." she said. To Takeda that meant, "I'm bored and don't know what to do with you." Takeda sighed as he sketched the layout for the front of the building. He was working on this project with two other people, but he was still doing most of the work. He glanced over at the clock. 9:30 o'clock. He'd work a little more then fall asleep. He would rather just fall asleep right then and there, tired from waking up early every morning to catch the train for work. But, the job paid well, and he was actually, sort of, doing something with his life. He remembered how Boogiepop was impressed when he told him that he would be a designer. A craftsman, Boogiepop had called him.
Takeda had long since stopped working on his designs. His thoughts were filled with Boogiepop. He wondered what he was doing, or if he was even "out." His thoughts led him to drift off to sleep. 10 o'clock.
He awoke only an hour later to knocking on his door. He brushed it off as pranksters playing tricks in the middle of the night. But the banging never ceased and even grew louder. He didn't want the neighbors to complain of noise so he decided to get up and see who it was. He shuffled sleepily through his apartment and over to the door. He looked through the peep-whole before answering to make sure he didn't let anyone dangerous in. His face froze.
On the other side of the door stood a cloaked figure with a pipe hat. Metal buttons shined in the light of the hallway and almond shaped eyes glistened. It was none other than Boogiepop.
Takeda blinked several times to make sure he wasn't hallucinating, After all, he was tired. But the figure still stood there, casually, like he always did. He whispered, "Are you going to gawk all night or are you going to let me in? Have you grown so rude in a year, Takeda?"
Without saying anything, Takeda unlocked the door and let Boogiepop in. Speechless, he stared at Boogiepop, unable to believe that just as he was thinking about him, he returned. "Wha-" he stuttered, "How? Is there, uh... danger or something?"
"Have you only concern for my duty and not our reunion?" Boogiepop replied. "Here I am, going through the trouble of searching for you, and you do not wish to have casual conversation?"
Takeda was shocked. Boogiepop never was one for "casual conversation", but he figured he would at least enjoy it. He bowed in apology, "S-sorry. I'm just so surprised to see you. How did you find me?"
"Miyashita Touka," Boogiepop said nonchalantly. "She told me you were staying here. She also says you are not together anymore. This saddened me. What happened?"
"She got bored," Takeda said sarcastically, although he believed it true. It was hard for him to talk about this with Boogiepop considering he still looked like Touka. Same pretty face and everything. "But, wait! You talked to her? I thought she didn't know you existed."
"Correct. Should I say rather, that I searched her memory and found this information. I guess you could say I have gained the ability to search through her thoughts," Boogiepop said, as casually as ever.
"That's a little, uh... cruel don't you think? Invading a person's thoughts without them knowing?" Takeda questioned. Boogiepop only gave a small nod in reply, but Takeda couldn't tell what he meant by it. He let it go. Takeda offered Boogiepop a seat on the couch and a drink, but he declined. "So," Takeda continued, "what did bring you out?"
Boogiepop sighed, "A disturbance. I know not what it is yet, but again I float to the surface. The Disbeat Disruptis. How goes designing?" Boogiepop asked, nodding towards the drafting table.
Takeda nodded. "Good. I got my first major project. I was up working on in until you showed up."
"Did I disturb you?"
"No, I actually... uh, fell asleep..."
"I see. Well. I enjoyed our reunion, but I must take my leave."
"What? But you just got here!" Takeda whined. The first time he saw Boogiepop in a year and it was only for ten minutes. He sighed, "I guess, I mean if you have to. But pay me another visit you here? I know you're busy saving the world and all, but take a break okay?"
Boogiepop nodded. "I believe I told you before, your definition of "saving" is not my duty."
And with that, he left. Disappearing as quickly as the day Takeda first saw him, that day in the crowd; that day Miyashita stood him up; that day it all started.

I thought it was pretty good, but I still don't consider BoogiepopxAnyone yaoi or het or whatever. 'Cause Boogiepop's like a genderless split personality who I've heard of referred to as every prounoun in the books. Maybe it's yaoit. Yeah, that's good. Yaoit. Sooo... Girlxit would be Yurit? I dunno.
Technically, if Boogiepop were a male, it would be slash, not yaoi because it refers to the non-cannon pairing of male characters. (Femslash is for girls.)
Heck, I'll just call it a crack pairing. Or yaoit.
Some of the sentences were a little choppy, but it didn't really distract me from the overall focus of the story, so it's okay.

November 1
Boogiepop never came to visit Takeda the day after their reunion. Takeda didn't really mind. He knew, after all, that Boogiepop was probably out doing his "duty" or whatever it was he ranted about. Takeda had worked overtime at the design firm anyway, so it wasn't like there was anyone home. But tonight, Takeda was at his mediocre apartment, watching some reality TV show while eating miso soup. There was really nothing else for him to eat.
"I have to go food shopping," he sighed to himself. One of the actors on TV just hurt himself. Takeda chuckled to himself, but then stopped, afraid of being caught by Boogiepop. He still remembered.
"Do you think to do nothing when you see a fellow human crying?"
That thought echoed in his head. He ceased laughing and was glad to see medic personnel came to the injured person's aid. Takeda wondered what Boogiepop would think of reality TV. He'd probably ridicule it in some way or the other. Suddenly, the TV went blurry and the sound cut off. Takeda changed the channel to see if the other stations came in fine. All of them were blurring or just not coming in at all. Takeda thought it would be the satellite dish on top of the building. He could also hear the old man next door complaining that he was missing the news.
Takeda sighed and trudged next door. He talked to his neighbors and explained what might be going on. The old man grumbled, so Takeda offered to go on the roof to try to fix the dish. He suggested it was windy and the dish just got blown out of position. The man said nothing more and returned to his dimly lit apartment.
Takeda grabbed a flashlight from the drawer in his bedroom. He opened the window in the living room that led to a fire escape. He climbed the staris up to the roof, using his flashlight as a guide. When he reached the top, he saw the silhouette of a person standing near the dish. Takeda froze for a moment, so as not to be noticed, but to no success. Whoever was messing with the dish turned towards Takeda.
"W-who's there?" Takeda stuttered. A perfect time for the batteries in the flashlight to burn out. Takeda blinked to make sure he was seeing clearly, but he saw something on the person shimmer in the little moonlight let through by the clouds. Takeda sighed of relief. "You know... You can't just go on any rooftop and steal TV from people..."
"I'm not stealing," the figure said, "I knocked into it and was trying to put it back."
"Boogiepop..." Takeda said, walking past Boogiepop to readjust the satellite dish. From the cheers of joy heard through Takeda's window, he could tell the old man next door got his news back. Takeda sat on the edge of the roof with Boogiepop, who stood as always.
"I apologize for not visiting yesterday. I was... busy," Boogiepop said, facing the moonlight.
"It's okay," Takeda said. "I just didn't want you to have to go away like last time. Yet again, the "danger" would be over then, wouldn't it?"
"Correct."
"Want to come inside?" Takeda offered, a shiver running down his spine. Boogiepop only nodded. Takeda wondered if Boogiepop even felt "cold." Probably.
Once inside, Takeda turned off the TV, knowing Boogiepop would frown at it. Again, he offered Boogiepop a drink and a seat, but he turned down the offer again. Takeda felt an urge to ask something. "Don't you ever feel tired? Or anything like that?"
Boogiepop sighed. "I'm not sure how to put it, but I guess you could say I do feel fatigue and fade away at a certain point. I don't stay out forever. Why?"
"Just.. ah, wondering is all..." Takeda had been "just wondering" a lot about Boogiepop recently. There was so much about Boogiepop that he didn't understand, yet wanted to, for no reason at all. He wanted to know what Boogiepop felt, if he felt at all.
The two sat in silence a bit. No one seeming to be bothered by the silence. Finally, Takeda glanced at the clock. 9:43 o'clock. He began wondering about what Boogiepop did when he faded. Where did he go? And how did he come back? Did he like "fading?"
Takeda had developed a sudden sense of care for Boogiepop. He worried about him, and wondered what it was like to be him. His feeling was strong than just a friendly one though, and he was sure of it. But it felt strange to him. He knew he had feelings for Boogiepop, but why he couldn't explain. He looked up into the eyes of his previous lover. Those beautiful, almond shaped eyes. Perhaps he saw something in Boogiepop that reminded him of Touka that made him feels so attracted. Or maybe, something Touka never had...

*Claps like mad* Good job, though I usually don't like ...s at the end of chapters, unless of course in trail-off dialouge, but that's just me.
Great job, anyhow, I'm liking it.
The part about the reailty TV was really good. I mean... seriously, it's pathetic how people will look past the pain of others, or even laugh abuit it...
You know, someone who laughs and makes fun of characters during horror films should not be saying that... but whatever.

[Angel in the Dark whisper=] i laugh too, but honestly, when you think about life from Boogiepop's perspective, humans are pieces of $h!t. and about the ... thing, I use that a lot so sorry if it bothers you. i use it mostly for trailing off and if the last sentence is a sort of cliff hanger. or i just use it just because. sorry... (see i did it again!!! stressed )[/DisbeatDisruptis]

November 1- 9:45 p.m.
Takeda suddenly became nervous, wondering if he should mention these feelings to Boogiepop. Who knows when the next time Takeda would see him would be? Would Boogiepop having a "relationship" with someone affect his duty? A lump formed in Takeda's throat. 'Only one way to find out.'
Takeda looked up at Boogiepop. "Uh, Boogiepop?" he stumbled.
"Yes, Takeda-kun?" Boogiepop replied.
Takeda cleared his throat. "I, uh... I think I like you."
"Why, Takeda, you told me this last time we met. You said you didn't want me to go; that I was your only friend. I felt the same way. I simply came in and out with no one bothering to pay me any mind. Except for you, Takeda. But you are still lonely? Surely after a year you would feel differently, no?"
"No," Takeda sighed, knowing this would become hard. He was wondering if he should just drop the subject. No. He had to say something. "I mean, more than that. More than a friend."
The two stared at each other, both not knowing what to say, which made Takeda uneasy because he thought Boogiepop always knew what to say. Finally, Boogiepop spoke. "Takeda, you are thinking as Miyashita Touka's lover. I have already explained to you. She is herself, and I am me. You're thinking this way as her lover, not mine-"
"No!" Takeda cut off Boogiepop as he stood up. He placed his hands on Boogiepop's shoulders. "I'm not thinking like that! I haven't been thinking like that since she dumped me! I-I want to be your lover, Boogiepop!"
As soon as the words came out of Takeda's mouth he wasn't sure he should have said them. Now Boogiepop would surely avoid Takeda. The friendship was ruined. Takeda tried to form words to explain his feelings but it was easier said than done. He felt more than friendship with the phantasmal Boogiepop. He wanted to hold him, be with him, and possibly even kiss him. He just wasn't sure why. He sighed, letting go of Boogiepop's shoulders, "I, I don't know why, but I just feel that way. I can't explain it."
"There are a lot of things in this world we can't explain, Takeda, but you must not be thinking clearly."
"Actually," Takeda chuckled to himself, "this is the clearest I've ever thought. I've never been so sure about something. I may not know why, but I am sure."
Boogiepop just looked at Takeda like he had two heads. This was the first time Takeda had seen Boogiepop "surprised." It was much different than his usual "pretty boy face." Miyashita's face. Again there was silence. Boogiepop obviously didn't know what to say. So Takeda spoke up. "Let me prove it."
Takeda stepped forward and lifted up Boogiepop's chin. His almond shaped eyes stared blankly forward as Takeda began to kiss him tenderly. Boogiepop wasn't sure what to do, because this clearly never happened to him before. But still, he, in a way, liked it. He liked the feeling of someone else caring for him, wanting him. They were strange feelings that he never felt before, but they were stronger than that day on the rooftop. That day that he said he would miss Takeda and he might never see him again.
Well here he is, standing in the middle of Takeda's living room, kissing him. He no longer missed Takeda, he just wanted to be with him. Boogiepop closed his eyes and kissed Takeda back. They stood there in the middle of the room for several minutes before Boogiepop finally pulled away.
Takeda looked at the expression on Boogiepop's face. He was blushing. Boogiepop looked down at the floor. "That was strange," he muttered under his breath.
Takeda looked at him, his face also red. He was somewhat embarrassed as well, but a part of him felt happy. He smiled, "But you liked it didn't you?"
"..." Boogiepop just stared at the floor as if not wanting to respond. He finally looked up at Takeda with an expressionless face. "... yes."
Takeda was hoping that he could get Boogiepop to smile, but at least Boogiepop wasn't avoiding him. Takeda laughed to himself, felling half foolish, yet half pleased. He put his face close to Boogiepop's and whispered in his ear, "Good."
Boogiepop turned his head so he was looking straight at Takeda. His face turned even redder. He whispered, "Can you... do it again?"
Takeda smiled. Without saying a word, his lips and tongue once again met Boogiepop's. They continued to kiss in the darkness until Boogiepop had to leave. It was 10:30.

Aww... that was so cute!
"That was strange." The line made me crack up, becuase it's something Boogiepop would say.
I have to mention though, even though I like this pairing, that I like Keiji (I like to refer to him by his first name... ._.)xTouka more, but whatever, it's all good.
WARNING: KONJIKI NO GASH BELL REALTED JIBBERISH COMES NEXT.
It's like me and a few Kiyomaro pairings. KiyomaroxMegumi = heart , and it's like... practically cannon. KiyomaroxReira=Me likes it, although not as much as KiyomaroxMegumi and AuruberuxReira. Seriously, all this "You're so kind, Kiyomaro!" "I'm worried about Reira!" stuff hints at it. But anything past a kiss on the cheek or something is icky because it's *****= CAN ANYONE SAY *****?! W00t! That's right, I support it. But, seriously, there's so much reason for this it's scary. However, even kissing scares me, let alone 'Six-year-old unbuttoning middleschooler's shirt' fanarts.
So, yeah. I have to relate like... everything to KnGB.
Anywhoooo... I love love loved the chapter! Keep up the good work!

Yuppers, me knows.
*OTP will NEVER happen, even though there are so many hints*
(But I like to read about cannon couples sometimes, too. Especially if they rarely do anything uber couple-y in the series, and are basically just established to be in love...)

(( i know))
November 2- 6:15 p.m.
Takeda pulled his keys out of his pocket and thrust them into the door to his apartment. He got out of work early today, not that he was complaining, but he wasn't used to having so much free time. He started rummaging through the cabinets to see what there was to eat, but all he found was some instant ramen. He popped it in the microwave and sat at the small table in the kitchen. He sighed as he sat down on the chair. As usual, he thoughts began to drift to Boogiepop.
As Boogiepop said, the events of last night were strange. It was "different" to say the least. Even Takeda was surprised that he kissed Boogiepop. Even more surprising was the fact that Boogiepop kissed back. Takeda's thoughts were interrupted by the microwave, signaling that the ramen was done. Takeda took it out of the microwave and sat on the couch in the living room, flipping through channels while slurping his ramen.
While flipping through the channels, he heard a thudding noise. At first, he thought it was the neighbors, but looked to the window attached to the fire escape. Boogiepop stood behind the glass tapping on the window, like a puppy scratching a door to come inside from the cold.
Takeda smiled and got up to let Boogiepop in. He unlocked the latch on the window and opened it. He helped Boogiepop inside, making sure his cape didn't get caught on anything. Once Boogiepop was inside, Takeda shut the window again. He turned to Boogiepop, "How did you know I was here? I got off work early today."
"I was on the roof before. I completed my patrol and found nothing unusual so I decided to come wait for you. Then I heard you come home," Boogiepop said in his usual tone. He didn't seem affected by what happened the night before. He glanced to the ramen sitting on the couch. "Am I interrupting your meal, Takeda-kun?"
Takeda shook his head. "No, I just sat down. Why don't you ever sit?"
"Hrm..." Boogiepop thought to himself. "Not sure entirely. I just prefer to stand I suppose. Does it bother you?"
"Just makes it seem like your uncomfortable. You're so stiff."
"Whether I'm "comfortable" or not does not bother me, but if you wish for me to sit down, then I will," Boogiepop sighed as he sat down next to Takeda on the couch. Nothing more was said, but Takeda could tell that Boogiepop was studying the TV. "Why do you watch this?"
"Not sure exactly," Takeda said as he spooned ramen into his mouth. He wasn't sure how long he could sit still with Boogiepop sitting right next to him. The way he sat up perfectly straight, the way his cape flowed over the chair. He looked like some sort of king, watching over his kingdom.
Takeda finished his ramen, and offered any food he managed to have to Boogiepop, but he declined. Something about how hunger doesn't concern him either. 'Yup,' Takeda thought. 'A king with thoughts only of his people.'
Takeda sat back down, only this time he sat closer to Boogiepop. Although the room was dark, Takeda could see Boogiepop's cheek getting red. He finally spoke. "Uh, Boogiepop. About last night..."
"What about it?" Boogiepop asked, trying to avoid eye contact.
"Nothing, really, just uh... Well-" Takeda stuttered.
"Are you wondering if I enjoyed it?" Boogiepop asked, straightforward.
"More or less. I wanted to know, you know, if you were okay with it," Takeda stuttered.
Boogiepop paused a moment then finally turned to Takeda. "Yes, I am."
Silence. Finally, Takeda asked, "Do you want to do it again?"
"Uhn..." Boogiepop's eyes turned to the floor.
Takeda smiled. He could tell that Boogiepop was a little embarrassed, shy even. Smiling, he lifted Boogiepop's chin, "Big boys use words."
Boogiepop blushed harder. He cleared his throat and looked into Takeda's eyes. "Do "big boys" use actions?" he whispered.
Takeda didn't know what to say to that, so he did the only thing he could do to respond. He leaned in and began to kiss Boogiepop. Takeda started gently pushing Boogiepop so that he was lying on the couch while he kneeled on top of him. Boogiepop's head landed on the armrest and his hat fell off, letting Miyashita Touka's hair hang over the side. They continued to kiss. Eventually, Takeda pulled away for a second and huffed, "Is this what you where talking about?"
Boogiepop looked up at Takeda and sighed, "Yes." Boogiepop's arm went around Takeda's neck and pulled him closer so they could continue to kiss. They were so into each other that Takeda barely noticed the phone ring, much less want to pick it up. When it rang again, Boogiepop pulled away and asked if Takeda should answer it. Takeda simply shrugged his shoulders and kissed Boogiepop's cheek, working his way over to his black lipstick colored lips, then into his mouth.
If anything else happened, both of them didn't care. They were to busy making out on Takeda's couch. And they wouldn't stop until they were tired. This happened around 8 p.m.

[Angel in the Dark whisper=] i was kinda "iffy" about that too, but then I realized that Boogiepop wasn't completely emotionless because of that day on the roof that he said he would miss Takeda (or Keiji). and since Boogiepop is a boy (sorta sweatdrop ) I decided to make him blush. I was a little surprised about it to, but I thought it would be cute.[/DisbeatDisruptis]
