Crystalline looked up at the sky. It had been a while since she had seen any other Soquili around, although she hasn't really been looking. For today it would be different though, she had hoped.
She glanced over at a set of trees and snorted softly, making her way over there. It was lonely for her, to be by herself.

Duncan made his way down the edge of the river, as an old friend had advised him to do if he wanted to make new friends. Everyone had to get a drink sometime right? But what about food? His belly growled lightly as he realized how long it had actually been since he had last eaten. He paused and took a deep breath. He could smell berries.
With a flick of his tail Duncan trotted away from the river towards the warm and welcoming scent of food. With not more than a 2 minutes trot he had found himself a large blackberry bush. Without hesitation he stuck his head right on in and began to pick the juiciest berries with his lips. He was a noisy eater as he rustled through the bush.
But then he stopped. He couldn’t pull his head away from the bush. His braided main had been snagged by the thorns of the bush. With a defeated sigh he tugged backwards; he could not free himself. He wrenched his head side to side; he could not free himself. Finally he gave up. "Help?" He called out to no one in particular. He had not heard anyone nearby.

As she got to the tree she noticed the river up ahead and began to gallop over there. She didnt notice how thirsty she actually was until she saw the refreshing water.
Crystalline bowed her head down to drink from the river, until she heard a noise. First she heard something in the bushes, then a cry for help. She glanced up, looking straight over to the berries. Soquili's get hungry, right? Hmm, maybe someone is hurt? And with that thought, she galloped over there, scared. She wasn't brave, but she wasn't afraid of everything either. Her eyes come across another horse, stuck in the berry bush. She giggled. "Oh, are you okay? Here, let me help you." With a look at the thorn, she sighed. This better not hurt. First, she started to bite the non pointy side of the thorn, but that didnt work. Next, she tried to seperate the hair from the bush, which succeded. She smiled and stepped back from the other horse.

Duncan pulled his head from the berry bush a little embarrassed. He shook his braided main free of leaves and twigs while letting as many black and white strands cover his eyes. He felt like a fool right then, having to be saved from a blackberry bush. "T-th-thank you for rescuing me." He nodded his head in thanks, making sure not to make eye contact. "I much appreciate it." He added as he stared at the ground. He caught a glimpse of his rescuer’s hoofs as he looked at the ground. "Quite lovely," he thought to himself.

Crystalline watched the other horse and smiled. Maybe he's just shy? She thought, wondering why he didnt look at her and talked much. Hmm, or maybe I should just leave him be?. "Its fine, really." She said with a smile, not wanting to bother him. "Would you like me to leave?"

"Oh no! No, I wouldn’t want you to do that." He smiled a little, his gaze still on the ground to continue to hide his embarrassment. "I mean, it would be rude of me to ask you to leave. I mean, you have every right to be here…" Now in his mind he just seemed to be rambling on and on. He must have seemed stupid to blue hoofed mare that had saved him; first getting stuck in a blackberry bush and then rambling. "Um... Would you like some berries?" It was the only thing he could think to say other than thank you.

Crystalline giggled. Somehow it wasn't that funny, but it was cute, and cuteness made her giggle. "Thats good then, I guess." Her tail flickered as she watched him. Her stomach rumbled as the thought of eating berries crossed her mind. "Oh, I would love some."

Duncan went over to the bush and picked out a branch with plenty of ripe berries on it. He took a hold of it with his teeth and, this time, carefully broke the branch from the bush. Slowly, so as to not shake a single juicy berry from the branch, he offered the branch to the mare.
