Lord Of The Abyss... This is simply speculation, and of course, we have all yet to know the conclusion of the series, but assuming Jagang and his cause are destroyed, and Richard and Kahlan both live, do you suppose Terry will write a new series where Kahlan and Richard conceive a Male Confessor? That would be cool. Ideas? Opinions?

Terry said in an interview that after his last book he's going to continue to write about Richard and Kahlan. They are to big a part of his life to just stop. So I think that would make a great book....like start it off with *15 years later* and they've got a male confessor as a child or something....I dunno though

I don't know, I thought shota would attempt to kill any male child born from Khalan, but with a Dad like Richard how could the little guy grown up to be corrupt? Cool idea though.

That that would probably take a whole novel, I think it would be quite a battle.
What about a Female Lord Rahl? Think that could ever happen?

I was just about to bring that up, Miki. I mean, we have Jensenn, showing that not all Rahl children are males. So, what's to say that Kahlan and Richard couldn't bring have a female Lord Rahl, with the Confessor powers?
Now that would be CRAZY.

That would be crazy. And you would know whatever kid Richard and Kahlan would have would be amazingly beautiful.
I don't think I would like it though if they made new books focused on something other than Richard though, I get almost irritated when there is like 4 chapters in a row and I haven't read something from Richard yet, lol.

Lord Of The Abyss... Well, I definitely think Shota is wrong: Confessors aren't necessarily designed not to have love, or else there wouldn't be a loop-hole at all. What I want to know is why and in what way previous male Confessors did that was so corrupt. I'd have liked more of a history lesson on that subject. And because Shota brings it up more than once, and in more than one book, I have a hunch we might hear more about it later. *Wonders if it comes up in the last book at all*. Or...if the only chance that that happens was cut off in Soul Of The Fire. Not sure, but because of how clear the threat is, I definitely think we'll hear more about it.

I'd like to know what exactly the threat is. I believe that the male confessors abused their power to get what they wanted. I'm pretty sure that I read that they didn't have to wait for their power to recover, don't quote me on that though, I'm not certain about it.

Im pretty sure that it said they dont have to wait as long as female confessors. Really though I bet its like all magic/tools, its the person wielding it that makes it good or bad. I don't think male confessors are born corrupt and I know Richard wouldn't be able to kill his baby son if he had one from Kahlan.

One thing, though is that with great power comes great responsibility, and the more power, the easier it is to lose yourself in it.
