Slight chance it could have been, but I doubt it. Soap would cause irrittion and itching but not puss and blood. Sounds like you were too overzealous and stretched too quick. Maybe even a blow out. Stretch too quick and you RIP the scar tissue around the hole. The other piercing beside it, I think its just acting up because its buddy is not happy. Take out the 6g, put the 8g back in. Treat it as if you just stretched to the 8g now. If its pussing, its infected. Sea salt soaks are best for clearing infections. Twice a day, sea salt dissolved in warm water, soak your poor lobe in that mixture. And from now on, DON'T TOUCH IT! Its ripped and now its a fresh stretch. Treat it as such. Next time, don't use soap, use water based, unscented, non-flavoured lube. And don't force it. If it just wont go, it JUST WONT GO. Wait another couple of weeks and try again. Good luck! This is great advice, I would just add that you
did have a blow out - whenever you see blood after you've stretched, you have torn your ear. This is never good and just like Acrylic_Duckie said, downsize back to your last plug (make sure that plug isn't a porous material - i.e. make sure it's steel or stone, not acrylic or wood), and use sea salt soaks religiously.
The next time you stretch, especially when you start stretching to larger gauges, either use a taper or tape up your old plugs. Using either of these methods will help prevent you from tearing your ears and building up the scar tissue. Then, when using a taper or when putting in your new plugs after taping up your old ones, I would suggest using jojoba oil (pronounced ho-ho-ba). It's really great for your plugs and for your ears/skin!
But take your next stretch slow - make sure your ears are ready. It'll probably take a little bit longer for them to heal up and be prepared to stretch again, so I'd say give it a month or so. Although it sucks to wait that long, remember your stretched ears are going to be around forever and keeping them healthy and happy is the best.
