Hey welcome to the guild. Here in the Warriors of Old you will find that this is not some ordinary ninja guild, I mean we have samurai also. We will be holding various tournaments that will prove that you may advance in rank regardless of your faction. Samurai will face Samurai and Ninja will face Ninja in order to increase their ranks indavidually. We may be holding clan tournaments to see who's is the best of each faction due to the fact that there are three within each. A test to see who is better between the ninja and the samurai may also be held but this will come much later. Until then, you will be allowed missions, training and all kinds of things. This guild will be constantly changing and growing to make your expirience here great so have a good time, see you around.

Ranking Information
Nindo Ranks
Genin Genins are the lowest rank of ninja. They are assigned a jounin instructor with two of their classmates. This group is taught by their jounin and perform basic jobs commissioned by the village. This typically means that they are required to do remedial, labor-intensive jobs that require little or no combat. A genin's life consists of missions and training under their Jounin instructor, all to prepare for the Chuunin Selection Exam. At this point, genins are put through a tournament to that will test their knowledge, survival skills and combat capability. During the final combat part of the exam, the genins are evaluated on whether or not they have the needed skills to be promoted to chuunin. However, it is not uncommon to have a very small number of genins selected.
Chuunin Upon achieving the rank of chuunin, a great deal of responsibility is placed upon the ninja. A chuunin is no longer an apprentice, but a leader. They can command a small group and are actively involved in combat situations. A chuunin not only holds their own life in the balance, but those of ninja assigned under them. Chuunin's responsibilities do not only extend to battle, however. They are in charge of teaching the students all they need to know to begin their journey of becoming ninja, and basic physical training. Becoming a chuunin is a sign of skill of dependence, and is not something easily obtained.
Jounin Even as achieving chuunin demonstrates proficiency and skill, achieving jounin is a sign of mastery. Jounins are exceptional fighters who operate on a completely different level than their lower ranked counterparts. Because of this, they are given the most dangerous missions. Jounins also are not limited to battle. While chuunins are in charge of teaching genin students, jounins are responsible for trios of genins. A jounin leads the groups through their initial missions and prepares them for the Chuunin Selection Exam. Jounins typically only impart knowledge to their assigned genins, though there are some who take on special students and impart techniques and skills to them as well. Not much is known about the methods of promoting jounins, however.
ANBU {{Must have a Steel-plated ninja band past this point}} A specific devision of ninjas designed much like the royal guard of the Kage. This group performs assassinations, escorts, and act as body guards as well for the current Kage.
Kage There are many academy students, there are many genins, many chuunins and many jounins, but there is only one Kage. The Kage is the strongest and most supreme ninja of all ninjas in their respective villages. Despite what some may assume because of appearances, they are immensely powerful and hold a number of powerful techniques that can even control nature itself. Becoming Kage is the ultimate level of mastery and skill.
Bushido Ranks

Chugen The purpose of the Chugen in medieval is to assist with physical tasks given by their officers, such as bearing spare weaponry and armor. Personal attendants to the samurai. They would fight when the need arose. Technically, a chugen in the samurai ranks could be further along the path to rising in status and social standing than an ashigaru, but for the purposes of re-enactment remain lower in rank. they are junior members of the unit whose responsibilities are little to none other than the important task of paying attention to experienced members and learning the ropes. After they have procured their own garb, built their own supply of weapons, attended their ranking exam and come out on top above all others only then will they become an Ashigaru.
Ashigaru For the most part, there was no distinction between the Ashigaru ("light foot") and peasant. He who wielded a spear in the summer probably harvested wheat in the fall. They are the rank and file of samurai armies; issued standard arms and under the command of a Samurai most of the time. As the backbone of armies, they are always the most numerous. Without Ashigaru, there is no army. To quote a samurai saying, "one spear worth 200 pieces of gold can be defeated by 200 spears each worth one piece of gold." An effectively managed team of adequately equipped soldiers is more effective than several uncoordinated, though exceptional, fighters. Ashigaru are the dedicated members of the clan who form up the bulk of the faction. Their duties include fighting hard in battle (of course), keeping a personal supply of clothing and weapons, and recruiting new members for the clan by training the chugen.
Gashira Gashira are battlefield leaders of small units of troops like that of a Jounin; there would be a gashira at the head of each spear or bow company, for example. Gashira were essential elements to any ordered samurai army, and served as the final connecting point between the officers and soldiers. Gashira serve as intermediate members within the faction. They are not entirely self-sufficient or full-rank officers, but are distinctly senior to the rest of the lower ranks. Although they are of high rank they are not considered to be full Samurai. They are still soldiers who have to follow orders.
Samurai{{Must have an Ancient Katana past this point}} A devision of warriors who are to be the royal guard to the Shogun. This group performs escorts, and act as body guards for the Shogun. They also lead the charge into battle as they have an uncanny ability to boost the moral and fighting spirit of their soldiers.
Shogun The strongest warriors of all, Shogun answer to no one as they use the samurai to do their dirty work. Regardless of them being out of harms way the may take part in battle if they feel its necessarily but the only reason thus far for a Shogun to enter the battle field is so that he can meet a Kage in combat for they are the only ones to match their power.
Legendary Ranks {{A test or tournament may be issued for these ranks}}
Kensei Sword saints of epic proportion, the Kensei are Samurai warriors who have mastered the art of Bushido. Shogun may challenge a Kensei often but fall to their knees inevitably. Although the Kensei are in fact sword saints their ability does not only fall under that of a blade but any weapon that they prefer. Like the Sanin they have their own ability to summon a beast to help them in battle. But others have found the ability to summon powerful weapons unseen by the human eye.
Sanin Kage bow before the power of the Sanin; being the strongest ninja in the village, Kage look in awe in the presence of a Sanin who is the greatest shinobi in the land and who has mastered the art of Nindo. Each Sanin is quite different but all have their very own trade mark summoning jutsu.
Doshu Martial arts master who have achieved balance using both the teachings of Bushido and Nindo. These warriors are a rarity and often fight on their own terms. Although they are experts in hand to hand combat, they are equally skilled in weaponry and found to be unpredictable due to their wide variety of abilities.

Technique Activation{All} For ninja hand signs are used to create jutsu or perform moves but like the samurai some of these techniques may be used by speech but very few are. The ninja use two hands to complete their jutsu but the Samurai however may only need to use one and the majority of their move may come from high concentration followed by a spoken word or incantation.
Chakra{Ninja} Chakra can best be described as power or energy a ninja needs in order to perform jutsu. It is probably the most important element in fighting for ninjas. Chakra consists of two main parts: the body energy and spiritual energy. Body energy can be tapped into from the cells in your body. The faster your cells move around in your body the more energy you have. Body energy provides strength for a ninja's mind. Spiritual energy is usually acquired from certain experiences in training or battle. Spiritual energy can be best described as an adrenaline rush or extra burst of energy. This may come in handy when a ninja is very tired and worn out.
Ki{Samurai} Ki can is the spiritual strength or power a samurai needs in order to perform techniques. Like chakra, ki consists of two main parts: the body energy and spiritual energy. Body energy can be tapped into from the cells in your body. The faster your cells move around in your body the more energy you have. Body energy provides strength for a samurai's physical strength. Spiritual energy is usually acquired from experiences in training or battle. Spiritual energy can be best described as an adrenaline rush or extra burst of energy, with the samurai this can often be generated to boost the moral or fighting capability of their allies. This may come in handy when a samurai is on his or her last legs so to speak.

Clans
Samurai
Tsuchi Masters of earth, the Tsuchi clan can control the ground beneath them. They are the most physically strong warriors of their faction but they are not as fast. They specialize in heavy weaponry such as the Zambato, a large sword often bigger than its user. These warrios may call upon armor created directly from the earth around them and use it as extra protection against attacks.
Hinote Warriors of flame, these fierce fighters poses the ability to control fire. They are not as strong as the other clans but they more than make up for it by being the fastest warriors within their faction. They may bring forth fire to ignite their weapons and set the battle field a blaze.
Tomoshibi Warriors of unknown teachings who's ability is as mysterious as their counter parts. They may bend light at will to form protective barriers around themselves and those within their unit but it may only be active for a limited amount of time and they must remain still in order for the barrier to hold. Their sence of justice is above all else and are referred to as true samurai as they put others lives before their own.
Shinobi
Uindo The swift and cunning Uindo are masters of wind, their jutsu provide them the ability to control wind as they attack by using momentum or their speed in place of strength. Although they control wind they can not glide or fly, but these ninja have an acrobatic ability that surpasses all and can use wind currents to slice through their enemies.
Mizu The Mizu are users of water. Their jutsu is often used or uses water biased techniques and their power may amplify in the presence in a large body of water or the full moon. They have since learned to control the temperature of the water causing many liquid based jutsu to solidify into ice for a whole new move to unfold but only Jounin have succeeded in such. They may not seem like much but they pride themselves on their tactical genius and intelect and are often used to create of water as protection
Ankoku Shinobi of unknown origin the Ankoku clan was once mistaken as that of the Narra clan but this was incorrect but they have the ability to meld shadows to their will through jutsu. They are masters of genjutsu or illusions but are not as good as the other clans when it comes to their levels of chakra but practice in Taijutsu daily. They are often called true shinobi for they remain in shadow.
