Back in my day, we had to walk up hill in the snow... wait..
I mean, There used to be mainly DBZ games out, and for the most part all were the same game, but with different GMs or a few added verbs, etc. Then a second Gen of DBZ games, again all the same.
Now I see alot of Naruto, Bleach, etc. Are these all just the same game much like the DBZs of my time? Or are people actually making different games?
I'd take it upon myself to go into these games and check it out, but I don't really care for anime these days, and it seems that a fan game would be boring to me.

La det ratne! Well, I can relate to the first/second gen. DBZ failure. These games are all the same at their very core- to each other and to the games of old- the infinite Zeta rips.
All the Naruto, Bleach, whatever people are into, games are the same old grind/pk/grind more concept with the same "hey I'll rip this game, make myself owner, appoint new GMs, and make some crappy updates" mentality.
This, in itself, is contradicting to the free, creative spirit that BYOND seems to be built on (correct me if I'm wrong.)

Well when I said First Gen DBZ, I ment DBGT: Genisis. The guy that made it also made zeta. Dracon I think it was. Anywho, I'm not so sure BYOND was ment for kids to rip off someones hard work and make it there own.

Philosophical Revolt Just wait until Ken releases Fighters of Legend. >_> Who's Ken? And what is Fighters of Legend? Ken is an old friend of mine I've known for 7 or 8 years. Used to MUD with him back in the day. Anyway, he's a coder, and he's in the middle of making a DBZ game to end all DBZ games. =) It's actually going to be fun, unlike the multitude of generic DBZ games on Byond.

i noticed that most if not all the anime games are the same....though out of curiosity/hope or just stupidity i keep trying the new ones thinking "hey this one might be good" then it turns out to be the same thing....i hope for story, for missions...anything....but it's start new character-walk outside-get killed by random player-end game
(i know i'm posting in a month old topic but who cares)

I Am Making An Original Naruto Game But Not The Kind You Would Think. I Am Doing A Naruto Card Game (Not Like The Real One) Still In DEF I Have some Ninja's Done Working On Jutsus Stay Tuned For Updates
