Okay, not really the world. Just a few states.

Day 1:

We didn’t end up leaving Columbia until 6:45 pm. We were supposed to leave at 5 pm. Rich wanted to install a GPS locating program on his laptop and it wouldn’t work. We finally ended up installing it on my computer. It works fine.

We made it to the Hampton Inn in Wichita, Kansas at midnight. It’s a good thing that my mom made reservations before leaving Columbia. They were booked by the time we got there.

Day 2:

We left the hotel at 9:30 am. We’re going south through Oklahoma City , and then East, through Amarillo on towards Albuquerque, where we will be staying for the night.

That was a long car ride. I’m glad to be at the hotel. Trying to figure out the net was a bit weird. I'm used to wireless, not Ethernet.
Oh yeah, that GPS program is amazing. I don't want to use it tomorrow though. I just want to look around. Seeing the Grand Canyon tomorrow. xd

Day 3:
“I’ve had a very difficult day” Today was tough. We got to see a lot of nice places. We went through this canyon that was absolutely beautiful. We went hiking to see a waterfall and a cliff-dwelling reconstruction. It was pretty neat. We’re staying in a nice cabin in a small town in the middle of nowhere. I like it. The town makes me feel comfortable. I feel like I’m still in Missouri. We ate dinner at what appeared to be the town’s only restaurant. They had really good catfish.

Sounds great, right? Wrong! Rich has been in a terrible mood since he woke up. He complained about everything. I guess he didn’t realize how far the Grand Canyon was. He also just wanted to drive there, and then turn around and drive straight to Texas. Mom and I are taking our time, seeing amazing things. When we were driving to this town, Rich just kept asking “Are there any highways around here?” He meant ‘interstate’ because we were on a highway. He said that he won’t be happy until he’s back in civilization.

This is when I realized that he doesn’t go to the ranch to be away from the world and relax. He goes only to visit with Johnny. Honestly, I think he should just stay home. I really wanted to go to the Grand Canyon with only my mom, and go camping. Sleeping bags inside a small tent. Camping with my mom is one of my favorite things to do, and I feel like I can’t ever do that because my mom has to take care of Rich. He honestly cannot do anything on his own. When he said that mom was going to have to go to a Home Depot on Black Friday so that he could get a new DeWalt battery, I got kind of angry. His reasons for her going with him were “I don’t know where a Home Depot is in Seguin, and I don’t carry money.” Mom doesn’t know where a Home Depot is either, and carrying money isn’t that hard. I don’t know how my mom puts up with it. I could never be with someone who can’t stand on their own. Grown-men should not act like children still tied to their mothers apron strings.

Day 4:
Today was fun. Went to Four Corners and Grand Canyon. Mom and I bought some jewelry at Four Corners. I just got a necklace for Sheng. Grand Canyon was amazing. We were there at sunset.

After sunset, it got a little difficult. Rich was driving and it was dark. So that isn’t good. He doesn’t read road signs so he didn’t know where to go. And we were going 60 in a 35 zone. All because Rich was tired and wanted to get to a hotel ASAP. Grand Canyon Village was all booked up so we stayed in Tusayan. We saw these three little boys at McDonald's. They were absolutely adorable.

Day 5:

Mom and I went back to the Grand Canyon this morning. Rich stayed at the hotel. We went on one of the free shuttle rides out to Hermit’s Rest, and on the way there, we saw those three little boys again. I learned that the oldest boy is named Ethan. The second is Vincent, but I never got the youngest boys name.

The shuttle was fun. We got to take a lot of pictures, and my mom took a bunch of pictures of me being goofy. We bought some stuff at the gift shop there, and then headed back to the hotel. We got to the hotel at 11:04, but check out was at 11. Rich was pissed. He didn't speak more than 10 words after we got back.

We drove through Sedona as well. It was really pretty, but the road was scary because it was really curvy and on the side of these steep hills. Rich was driving way too fast.

Day 6:

We stopped somewhere in Texas, but I'm not sure where. I was sleeping in the car.

We went to Tombstone today. That was kind of interesting. I've never seen the movie so the parts about the movie were really boring, but the history of the town was really neat.

Day 7-end:

I'll be out at the ranch until Mon. so I won't have wireless. No net for Kayla. crying
If you want to send me mail, I would love that. And it doesn't have to be only for when I'm gone. You can send mail anytime.

Alright. I'll be gone for a while. If you read this, please don't let the guild go dead. I would be sad.

Thanks, Neisha! I'm glad to be home, but I miss Texas. I just wish it had been warmer when I was there. It was warm the first day, and then after that it was raining non-stop. We brought bad weather with us. gonk
