Let me explain.
My school has a dance every two months. They're okay, but they have gotten boring since they're just the same thing over and over. Last night when we all got together, my friends and I discussed an idea about renting out a place and making our own dance- most likely at the end of the year, a non-formal thing that will take place a week or so before Junior Prom. Grades 7-11. Admission would be charged, and the dress code will be reasonable, but not too strict. We even have a couple of adults willing to chaperone if this idea goes down. There's also a fairly cheap place that can be rented out- and it's far better than our school gym.
We'll be working on fund raising and all that fairly soon, but we kind of wanted to ask around and see what other kids thought of it.
So, hypothetically, if this was happening in your town, would you go?
Also.. any ideas of what we could do to prevent things getting out of hand?
