Have you guys heard of this film? It's just getting ready to release stills and everything to promote it. I don't think a date has been picked yet. But it's set for December.

Quote:
It stars Saif Ali Khan, Bipasha Basu, Akshaye Khanna, Anil Kapoor, Sameera Reddy and Katrina Kaif in pivotal roles.

I am actually surprised I haven't heard a darn thing about this movie until this morning. D: I would expect, with that kind of cast, it'd be all over... but maybe not. It's still got a ~month until it releases.

I'm honestly a little scared of this movie now. I'm not really interested in it... the cast looks good and everything, but that's about it.

Saif and Bips are paired together, as shown in the promo, and it's kind of scary. I also saw stills and I'm kind of scared. I'm surprised that Saif is doing a role like this (although, his character did have sex in Hum Tum and Parineeta and Salaam Namaste) and Bipasha is expected to do roles like that... I don't know what to expect.

Akshaye Khanna is someone I might need to worry about. He's supposed to be the guy that does DCH and Taal and he's sweet and it's okay if he does a fun role like 36 China Town (which, btw, I loved) and serious roles like Gandhi, My Father.

My thoughts are scattered at the moment and I'm not really looking forward to this movie because it's going to be all about sex, I think, and I'm not sure why Anil Kapoor is doing something like this (he insists the reason he's still going strong because he does movies he isn't expected to do--like Welcome) and I think the movie is pushed back to either March or May, even. (I remember seeing an M, but I can't remember.)

I looked it up: March 21st.

I also looked up what it's about, which can be found here: http://www.indiafm.com/movies/preview/13399/index.html

It doesn't sound so bad, but I don't know. The promo makes it look like it just wants to be Dhoom or whatever, but Akshaye Khanna does not fit that persona for me.

Eeek.

[[ heart ]]
[[ I wouldn't bother watching the movie. confused Way too many B-wood movies are starting to focus around sex. There are the 'dark, dangerous' guys with guns, typically thieves, and then there are the gorgeous girls who look young enough to be the guys' daughters. ]]
[[ I miss the movies with any actual substance.. Like Devdas, or Mohabbatein, or even Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum. Admitted, Dhoom and Dhoom II were action films, but they were actually GOOD. They weren't focused around.. well, I think you understand what I'm getting out. ]]
[[ Race could have it's chances at being a hit.. I do like the beat to that one song, Allah Duhai. && I hear that Saif didn't get a stunt double to jump off that one building in the movie.. He actually did it himself, three times. xD What a lucky dude. ]]

OMG exactly. That's why I'm so pumped for Jodhaa Akbar (Hrithik helps it, too..).

I think that the reason why Dhoom 2 did so well is because of marketing, which seems to be hard now... Om Shanti Om was amazing with marketing. I think all of that depends on Race on whether it becomes a hit or a flop.

Oh I'm a bit scared of action ever since I watched Cash (which I had been quite excited for prior to the release) and was totally disappointed. Cash is the worst movie I've seen.

Race? idk good catchy songs >>> probably bad movie?

I kind of want to see it, but from "pehli nazar" it looks like these 2 scandalous couples cheating on each other.

Welllllll.......

I'm trying to stay positive, and the promos I watched today looked good... so I think I am going to see it. However, if the reviews I read on Friday morning aren't good, then I'm probably going to pass on it. :

I am enjoying Pheli Nazar a lot, though! It's such a good song. smile Zara Zara Touch Me is still good for me as well!

I just wanted to let you guys know I watched it and enjoyed it a lot! biggrin It was a great watch with LOADS of twists that made my head spin! All of the actors were amazing (I loved Anil Kapoor and Sameera Reddy, especially with the humor they provided!) and most of the songs were great. Some of Katrina Kaif's fashion choices were questionable, but I am blaming it on the fashion designers. Other than that, I heartily encourage others to watch this film. smile It isn't as powerful as, say, Jodhaa Akbar, but a fun movie that you can sit back and relax to.

Conforting to know. My cousin and I thought it was going to just be a shooting movie with lots of sex and adultry or a cheesy immitation of Dhoom.

That's exactly what I thought, too--but there were only two instances where the sex was there, I think. Of course, many of the songs are sexual, the title song and Zara Zara Touch Me in particular.

I honestly don't like Bollywood movies having sex scenes and such. It just ruins the industry in my opinion. It gives the image that Indians are sex hogs or makes sex with different people common in India or something. It was the cleanliness in Bollywood which always made me like it more than Hollywood...but now Bollywood is disappointing me sometimes...
