Those don't seem very good.....maybe if they made a really nice flute colored I would try it. Silver is fine with me confused

It'd be neat to have one for a decoration or something for my room but I would rather have a good flute than one that looks pretty... besides, I heard that the instruments that have the unnatural colors like that aren't very good....

Yeah. They say the quality and tone aren't good. And I take them to be cheaply made. I'd rather spend my money on something that was quality. And silver can be sexy. o-o

My flute's forty years old and silver. It still kicks other flute's a**. Those colored ones might last you 40 days.

teal, matches my hair.
i got it for my bday but i never used it; because of BD; sticks out too much.
ended up buying another one.
if you see a teal piccolo on ebay anytime soon, its mine(: brand new. play'd like twice.

I saw some like that on E-bay a while ago. But like others have said, I hear that they aren't the best quality

I just can't picture myself auditioning for something with a flute like that. I couldn't imagine that they would take you seriously.

I couldn't imagine that they would take you seriously. thats another reason why I wouldn't get one to play... They should just make them a little cheaper and I would get one and put it on display in my room....

*snorts*
If it's not silver, gold, platinum, or bore wood, I wouldn't even bother touching it, personally. If I see someone with a colored flute, I know they aren't serious and that 'daddy dearest' will get them what ever they want. I don't suggest these sort of flutes to anyone, espically beginers.

Really sorry to tell you this but I really am not a fan of colored flutes.
A girl bought that same exact flute TO PLAY in band and everyone nicknamed it peptobismal and corn because that is what it reminded us of.
Most multicolored instruments have serious intunation problems and were originally meant for show only. They really don't have a good reputation and are down there with the First Act instruments.

Well,I say if you want a colorful instrument, than just get a crappy recorder...those look good. But if you're going to be playing flute in an ensemble, playing the flute puts you up in the front row where everyone sees your flute and goes....WTF??? It's best too stick with silver, not because of color, but because it just produces a better sound, which is most important.
